A very comfortable and friendly hotel, great location, lots of charm, and offering an excellent breakfast. The room was warm and the bed was very very comfortable. Although there is live music in the bar several nights of the week, I could barely hear it and it didn't go on late. I had an excellent night's sleep!
The external bathroom was the only minus, but it was private, and very clean, and given that this is a 16th century inn, understandable and acceptable, and I plan to stay here again on my next visit.

Lovely old pub/restaurant with spacious comfortable accommodation. Very comfy bed and pillows. Dinner in the restaurant was superb and very reasonably priced. Breakfast excellent too. Great location for town centre. Staff very helpful and friendly.
Nothing I didn't like.

Breakfast excellent tasty and really good quality and we didn’t have to get up too early.
Live music Friday and Saturday really enjoyable and not far to go to bed when it finished

This was a perfect spot to spend a couple of nights. The pub is in the centre of the town, just a short walk from the train station. The room was comfortable and clean. We stayed in a room with a private but separate bathroom that was located just down the hallway, which was of no inconvenience at all. The bar and waitressing staff in the evenings were friendly and helpful and the lady who does the breakfasts was fabulous. There's a great choice for breakfast too!

Good central location in Shrewsbury. The Old Post Office offers straight forward accommodation for a fair price. It's not The stairs are a big narrow, but they are only short flights, and the Accommodation is in an old Staging House from the days of Horse Drawn vehicles. I had a private Bathroom, with the room , both a good size. Some rooms have an external Bathroom, but this is clearly stated. So for short stays, with "no fuss" then the Old Post Office does the job.
Beds definitely need new mattresses. A lot of noise from the Pub itself- better sound insulation for Windows needed.

The staff couldnt have been more helpful. They even went out of their way to get a certain product in for me for breakfast. Food was very nice.
Would have preferred en suite, but knew it wasn't at the time of booking

The Old Post Office is really central in the town. The food was excellent and the staff extremely friendly
The only downside is that the bedrooms are situated up steep stairs but then I was warned about this before booking.

Great quirky building in the centre. Despite it being a very vibrant pub, our room was tucked away and the noise didn't reach us.

We really enjoyed our breakfasts with Wendy serving us with a smile each morning. Our rooms were fine except we were unable to receive WIFi and had to go down to the pub area to check e mails etc. We thought that Wendy was a real asset to the hotel, as she was always cheerful and pleasant. The noise from the pub was not too bad and we managed to sleep despite the chatting etc. The location was excellent , as we were just around the corner from all the lovely shops. The rooms were lovely and warm and the bed not too bad at all.
The shower did not work as the small knob which should have changed to flow of water was stuck so we had to manage with baths. I am not really a fan of baths now as I am older, so would have preferred the shower.
