Bra läge nära järnvägsstation

Mycket fint läge nära järnvägsstationen i Shrewsbury. Litet rum ovanpå en pub. Vi stördes inte alls av detta men trapporna var smala och vinda. Fanns möjlighet att koka te och kaffe på rummet.

Det fanns ingen frukostservering.

Comfortable and homely, friendly environment we really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location. Staff friendly on greeting us in the pub bar, and bouncers on door all lovely and friendly. Room lovely and warm. Big bed and comfortable.

Little cramped in the toilet but it was a small bathroom and served its purpose. The shower door was not closing proper, so we were a bit worried as water went onto the floor outside but we just put a towel down to catch the water.

Accommodating check-in guy almost makes up for the condition of the room. But it worked out.

Superb staff, very accommodating fellow with our unavoidably late check-in. Check out was smooth if brusque with the woman who was cleaning in the morning (and didn't seem happy to be there). Convenient location.

Hate to say this but the room had an awful odor (which luckily one gets used to after being in it for a minute). Bathroom was kluged together and close to falling apart. Clean is not a word I'd use to describe the room or its floor.

The hotel is well located and staff are excellent

The hotel was in an excellent location being only 5 minutes walk from the station. The beds were comfortable and clean and staff were friendly and accommodating.

The bathroom in the double room number 7 was a health and safety hazard. The platform for the shower was jutting out about 6 inches into the door way and more than once we tripped over it. The door to the shower didn't close properly so water poured onto the bathroom floor. The rooms were few flights up so are not suitable for everyone.

The location and staff are great but rooms are dated. However for the money the rooms served a purpose.

Probably early in season but the whole place could do with some tlc.

Budget accommodation in downtown Shrewsbury

once I got over first impression which was it looked run down I actually found the bed comfortable and it was quiet despite being over a pub. The bathroom was good with hot water. Throw in coffee making facilities plus flat screen tv and it turned out more than ok

as always the Wifi wasn’t the best but that’s generally the case with most places I’ve stayed in England but managed to get by The place does need some sort of revamp in my opinion

You get what you pay for I guess!

Nice location. Bed was comfy. Nice clean sheets. Plenty of tea and coffee. TV worked and had a variety of channels.

Bathroom in bad state of repair. Shower door falling off. Most disgusting toilet brush covered in tissue. Shower was mouldy. Temp on shower didn’t work so was red hot (atleast it wasn’t cold). Common areas very drab and in desperate need of an update. Frayed dirty carpets.

A refund would not go amiss.

After a first cold night, due, to radiator being non responsive to temperature control, asked for it to be sorted for the next night, however for some reason, the issue was resolved. Luckily it was not a freezing cold night, however it was uncomfortably cold.

Very convenient central location.

Friendly and helpful staff. Carried our bags in and out to our rooms on the 2nd floor.
