Location. Location. Location. Place was cute, quaint. Simple for what we needed.
Small stairs so watch your head.

Location, character. Very comfortable bed.
Bathroom door couldn’t be fully closed and towel rail behind door not secured and came off.

We appreciate the host was incredibly accomodating of allowing us to check in earlier as a result of the train strikes forcing us to arrive there earlier than we originally planned.
It was hot, but it was an old property so we didn't expect air-conditioning.

We had an emergency during the night and the owner/owners daughter was very quick and concerned in their response and couldn't have been sweeter.

The guesthouse was just what you would expect in a cornish town, beautiful and full of charm and character. Everything was immaculately clean, the room had everything we needed for a short stay and was in a perfect location close to the harbour, shops and restaurants.
We had a lovely time here and would definitely stay here again. Thankyou.
Nothing, everything was perfect!

The Anchorage Guest House is in a fantastic location, just moments away from the coast and a range of local shops and bakeries. The property was perfect for what we needed and very clean. The staff were also very attentive. The free fruit and flapjacks in the morning topped off a wonderful weekend! Would recommend highly.

Fantastic location, nice view from the room,
Biscuits and milk should be topped up without needing to ask. Mattress was far too soft inducing backache, room was baking hot even though the outside temperature was barely average for the time of year.

Loved the cuteness. Beachy/Nautical decor it was what we were hoping for. Bed was comfy. Staff was lovely. Room was clean. Easy to check in and out.
Just the functionality of the upper room was tough. I’m 5’1 and hubby is 5’10. He hit his head 5x because of the room structure.

Location is perfect. Amanda is very nice and helpful and will provide things for the room when needed. All amenities close the lodge.
Seagulls are very noisy

Everything. Felt like I was on an old ship and it put us in the heart of St Ives. Loved every minute.

Ideally located in the centre of St Ives the guest house is just 5 minutes walk from the Tate along the Digey and one minute to the restaurants and cafes on Fore Street. Well managed, freshly decorated, and cosy.
We would have preferred to have breakfast at the guest house rather than going out. The 4 pm check-in is a little late for those arriving in the morning on the sleeper but we appreciated the flexibility shown on the day.

We loved everything. Just a little tight getting access to the room for my tall partner but it wasn’t a huge issue :)
Excellent flapjacks too!

Coffee, tea, fruit and flapjacks provided daily. It was really, really lovely and was constantly checked in on. We were also asked for a later check out due to personal reasons and we're offered it immediately - host was really great.

Fantastic location, very unique property.
I was traveling with a friend who is 6'2". This property has extremely low doorways and ceilings and very narrow steep stairs. It was fine for me but that should probably be more explicitly stated. It was a bit of a problem for my friend

Location perfect.
Maybe some shutters at the bathroom window for when you have it open.

No Breakfast, which we knew about, but lots of extra treats, for example fruit and homemade flapjacks as well as the usual tea, coffee, milk.
The property dates from 1730 hence the small room size. It is superbly located and beautifully furnished
Unfortuatly the catch on the bathroom door, which was exclusively for our room but accessible by other guests, deteriorated during our stay and meant that we could not open the door, if it properly closed from the inside. Amanda had set up a very effective way of communicating but regretfully this issue was not able to be fixed during our stay

Very pretty, good location right in the harbour area
The place is very small, very low ceilings and very narrow/steep stairways. I understand the building is from the 1700s but everything is very small and access throughout is difficult. Also nobody on-site to interact with, everything seems to be communicated via notebooks. We were informed about the stairways a couple of days prior to the trip but unfortunately I missed the email and turned up. Room was totally unsuitable so had to leave with no refund option.
