De sfeer is ontzettend gemoedelijk. De eigenaresse heeft ons bovendien goed geholpen met tours en onze verdere trip. We hebben het er erg fijn gehad!

Surprisingly very homey and the staffs were very helpful; warm and attentive…We could meet and mingle with other guest while having breakfast together…Breakfast are affordable and delicious…Free coffe; tea and water…The room was ok and the aircon was great…The location is very strategic to get some food; mini markets; laundry and cafes…
The parking space is very limited since there are 3 different hostel altogether…Unfortunately the water in our bathroom was very poor so we found it a bit difficult to take a shower…

The family who run this place are the best. So lovely and warm. They know everything about Yog and will help as much as possible.
The only downside was the cold shower!

The family that run Arjuna are lovely, so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We opted for a family suite and the aircon hit the spot after a long day exploring Yogyakarta.

The hosts are such lovely people and the place is an idyllic little gem in Yogyakarta. The landlady was very helpful in recommending where and how to go places around the city. Good value!

The hosts Cici and Eka were the best. It was fun getting to know them. They make you feel at home when you arrive there. The place feels very relaxing and homey. Cici and Eka were very approachable and you could ask them about anything about Jogja. Eka especially gave me some great recommendations on where to go around the city. The room was bigger than I expected, and the bed was clean and comfortable. The toilet was clean. I liked that there were different places to sit and chill outside the room. Overall a recommended place to stay on a budget, as you would be getting more for what you paid.
The wifi in the room could be better. The strongest connectivity was outside in the rest area. But it was not something major.

Everything was perfect, the host is so nice. She even welcomed us for free just to help us one day. Possibility to have a delicious and not expensive breakfast also !

Hot water was intermittent.

The owner of the homestay is super friendly. You can see that she is a superhard worker! She arranged a scooter for us, did laundry and welcomed us with a smile.
I could not relax at the pool / bar because there were a lot of moscuito’s. I do not know why, and the owner handed us traps to scare the moscuito’s, but did not help. Also the rooms were a bit depressing, but the beds were nice and the shower had nice warm water!

very nice stay. I really enjoyed the swimming pool especially after long warm day.
Host is very friendly and helps to organize your day, trip, activities etc…
In the morning, you can order your breakfast.
This is a quiet place, not far from the main road which allows you to take easily a taxi or a bike to ride in Yogyakarta.
Kitchen is available if you want to prepare your meals. Otherwise there are plenty of restaurants around.
Maybe the shared bathroom which could be improved.

I spent two nights with my sister at Arjuna Garden Homestay. We really enjoyed our time there, Chichi was very helpful and give us many advices for what to do in the area. The place is very quiet and close to the center. You feel like in your family. I recommend this hostel with eyes closed!

Pros: nice looking interiour
Cons:
Our experience with this place was kind of awful in many ways.
where to begin...no soap in the bathroom to was your hands with. No tissue.
Couldn’t close the door to our bathroom by 10 cm... so you would have to bare with doing your toilet needs infront of your partner.
The worst part is the smoke. The neighbour were smoking in his bathroom and the smoke comes right in to our bathroom and room- disgusting. I have allergy to cigarette smoke and my partner is very sensitive. So we were suffering.
When we complained to the staff she didn’t know what to do and she said because the receptionist has already left we would have to solve the problem by ourself....and she said by the next day he will check out so if we can bare with it, the next day will be better. She offerd us to change the room to the family dorm which looked and smelled horrible...
The neighbour were even smoking in the middle of the night and early morning.
When we woke up the next morning there were several people sitting in the common area, right outside our room all smoking.
The room has no window. So the only way to get ’fresh air’ is to open the door which is polluted by all this smoke.
They smoke all the time.
Even the woman we conplained to were sitting with them and she didn’t seem to care.
At night it was packed with people, friends of the staff, sitting in the ’common space’ and smoking, talking loud.
All common seating area were occupied, so even if we wanted to enjoy our night in the chair, it was occupied by their friends and the air full of smoke...
They kept us awake and were sitting outside until early morning talking and smoking.
We booked the place because of the good reviews. But we are extremly dissappointed.

The room is very comfortable, with well-worked air con in the room and a nice back garden view. Love the atmosphere, also the open shared kitchen we can use at any time. The staffs are helpful for checking up on us when we showed up late.
There was some noise coming from the bathroom, I don't know maybe the water through the pipes makes that sound. It was okay though we just turned off the switch near the water gun. But it'll be better if there's no water noise at all.

The staffs are friendly. The stay was really simple but homie, intimate and clean. It's nothing fancy but somehow very comfortable. I would absolutely stay in here again for the next jogja visit
