Op verzoek konden er broodjes besteld worden. Die werden elke dag om 8 uur bezorgd. Prima service
De afstand tot de bewoonde wereld was vrij groot. 2 km over een smal stijgend boeren weggetje. Dan zeker 20 traptreden van weg naat lokatie

It was self catering. The location was idyllic and quiet. The appartments had been well designed so that they all had outside seating, but not overlooked by others. The grounds were full of colourful flowers and the whole place looked like a chocolate box chalet! The location was up a no through road at the head of a valley, so there was no traffic noise, or noisy neighbours. The appartment was spacious with good atmospheric lighting and all the equipment worked well. There was plenty to see of interest in the area, for several days. The local town, Kirchzarten, was pleasant, with ample food shops. A visit to the impressive waterfall at Todtnau was especially interesting, particularly as I used the new Blackforestline suspension bridge on my circular walk, a real experience (but not if you suffer from vertigo!). If church architecture is your thing, don't miss Kloster St. Trudpert. I was enchanted by Staufen, an ancient town with an interesting history, and many beautiful buildings, large and small. It is a hub of many talented craftspeople and their workshops are fascinating places to visit, and maybe buy a unique momento of your time there. With more time, I would have explored other nearby areas, where there are opportunities for walking as well as visiting picture-perfect towns and villages.
A small matter, but occasionally the Wifi was dodgy, probably as we were located high up a valley, and the weather was a little thundery. Not a major problem, and the hosts were very helpful in improving the signal.

Andrea's ferienwohnung
A beautiful apartment in stunning countryside, walking distance from a lovely biergarten Walthaus zum Kreuz
Lovely fresh bread in the morning by a friendly Andrea, but......
But sadly we did not feel very welcome.
On the very first morning at 8 am, our host had no time for a "Goodmorning" but started off our welcome by giving out we were up too early and waking up the guests who had not yet arrived.
We were quite shocked and not aware of any wrongdoing. After that he never made an effort to make us feel at home.
As a result we sneaked around like naughty children for the next 5 days.
Nervous to be seen or heard which is impossible due to the layout, there's no space in between the apartments for privacy. The weather was great, the windows were open and the neighbours snores loud and clear.
Even our whispers woke them up. not nice for anyone.
We were quite relieved when it was time to leave.
Let's hope our host was having a bad week and he is normally more welcoming.
Or perhaps it's time to stop when the guests become a burden?

The location is amazing, surrounded by hills and forest, and very peaceful. The property was spotlessly clean. The WIFI worked, the shower was great, cooking facilities were all good. The local supermarket was about 10 minutes away, and Andrea had a selection of drinks, beers, wines, and bubbles on offer as well, which we paid for separately. Parking just outside the property or on the side road, both worked well.

The location is spectacular, the apartment was very clean and well kitted out, with a lovely outdoor area to relax and eat, plenty of literature and guides as to what to do and recommendations of what to do in the area, wifi available.
Only my husband spoke German I would have been lost, all the information and instructions were in German only,

The location was beautiful and the place was cozy, but very comfy and clean.
The shower worked great. The bar downstairs is very handy for guests.
Especially a great place to come home to after a long hike.
There is a bit of a language barrier if you don't speak German.
The nearest supermarket is more than 45 minutes away if you don't have a car.
There is a restaurant in the village but it isn't open every day.

We had a really nice stay. Every morning Andrea brought us fresh breads. The room itself was small, but because of the terrace it didn't matter. The surrounding are beautiful and and quiet. Freiburg is 30 minutes by car, but there is also a smaller village nearby where you can eat and do groceries.
