Great little property in a fantastic location.
Very little to dislike - only that the tv remote didn't work. But we didn't watch much tv anyway...

Location was fantastic
Could do with some sharper knives in thr kitchen.

great location for exploring the surrounding area. very quaint olde village and next door's shop has everything you may need. hopefully the soon to be re-opening of the refurbished pub will add even more useability for those staying at the property. offroad parking outside too.
firewood, none supplied. would've been a nice gesture to have the log basket with some wood in it to facilitate use of the stove. It's an old house, which adds to the charm but it was a little dusty n cobwebby in places.

Lovely location
Instructions for entry in to collect key could be more detailed - e g colour of door etc
Need to get used to roads especially at night in Peaks

Spacious, characterful property; very clean and quiet; excellent location for exploring the Peak District. Comfy bed, good shower, strong and reliable wifi. Easy free parking close by. Dog friendly.
A couple of minor niggles: the property would benefit from some reading lights (lighting was subdued throughout) and the kitchen utensils need refreshing (some sharp knives and larger pans with lids would make cooking much more pleasurable).

If your looking for home away from home, then this us for you! Karen is just fabulous, and will help in any way she can. Our 2 dogs loved it. The best dog friendly place we've ever stayed at. Just brilliant!
Absolutely no complaints. For a grade 1 listed building it's great. Open fire was amazing.

Great location, shame that the pub is closed. Great fish and chip shop very near and a well stocked village shop. There is a new sweet shop around the corner and a post office. The property has all the facilities you could want and the owner was very helpful. Great place for the dogs with loads of great walks available. Beautiful scenery on the doorstep and near to lots of beautiful places. Overall a lovely place to stay.
The overhead light in the bedroom may have a fault as it did not always come on. Could do with a shower mat for the floor when stepping out of the shower. Information about recycling would be appreciated as there did not appear to be recycling bins on the property. None of these are real problems, just observations, and have not made my stay anything other than great

location was perfect, accommodation was good.
not much. could have perhaps done with some more cooking utensils, but apart from that everything was great.

Lovely part of the peak district that we had not explored before. Plenty of lovely walks and beautiful countryside. Buxton very nearby for supplies though the little shop had all you need.
We tried to eat at the local pub but it had just stopped serving the first afternoon and had a group coming in on the second day and not taking further orders so we never found out what the food was like.

...This is a little gem its a
Quirky little cottage, tidy and warm.
Just lovely....
. Only thing missing is a bigger sofa, there are 2 two seater but they are quite snug..

Great location with a cafe, fish and chip shop and a great pub. Perfect for us and the cats.
Parking is on the square, which can be busy. However it is free

I liked the character of the cottage and the location in the centre of the village nicely placed between Buxton and Bakewell
The windows are single glazed inkeeping with the property; but a word of warning this does mean the sounds from the street below do come through
Also placed directly over Cobbles Cafe meant I noticed the oil cooking smells in the entranceway

Perfect and responsive communication from the owner, nice new bathroom, character of the building and quiet rural setting, great for walking and cycling. Lots of space for bikes in the hallway.

Cosy comfortable lounge area. Quirky uneven flooring throughout. Attractive layout in general with plenty of space. Good location and great views from property. Pub and Chip shop offer good food and service. If colder I'd have loved to use the open fireplace.
Slight smell of cooking fat from the cafe below but was expected due to previous reviews. Lack of cooking utencils in kitchen and some pans need replacing. Waste water comes up in second sink in kitchen when you drain sink.

More spacious than we expected. We enjoyed a really comfortable stay.

Excellent accommodation well appointed. Very clean and well stocked. Furniture all very comfortable, which isn't always the case.
The information regarding pubs is out of date. Also we weren't told that all the places to eat are all closed on a Monday, the day of arrival. We also thought that there would be a washing machine, which was in the flat above. The toilet seat was loose.

This apartment is in a perfect location for exploring the Peak District. The apartment was exceptionally clean and ideal for our needs and the large, comfortable bed was a bonus.

Bank house is full of character and has great views of the surrounding countryside. There isn’t really anything to dislike about this property, the facilities are to a high standard and are clean. We stayed here to visit Alton Towers and also took a trip to the Peak Wildlife Park. Excellent value for money at a fraction of the cost compared to a caravan for same duration. Good communications with landlady and full written note on all the ins and outs of the house (bins / heating / lighting fire etc)
Nothing to dislike about this property.
