This is a great little hotel in the heart of Santa Ana. Just a short walk to the main square, it is very secure. The staff are very kind and welcoming. There is a lovely central courtyard. My room (Deluxe) was spacious and very clean. Great air-con too. Excellent value for money. The Receptionist also helped organise a taxi for my next destination. Note the staff only speak Spanish.
The people in the room next door were a little noisy, but that stopped by 10pm.

This is a safe, clean and quiet place to stay, and a short walk from the main plaza and bus stations. Although the receptionist didn't speak any English they have signs in the lobby in both Spanish and English with clear instructions of how to get to nearby attractions outside Santa Ana. My bed was huge and the whole place appears as in the photos. If you want your room cleaned leave your key at reception.
The hot water in my room didn't really work. I turned it on at the wall like their instructions and it was maybe a few degrees warmer than regular cold water. They need to get the fuse replaced. It's per shower head so your room may be OK.

Es war sehr sauber und das Personal war unglaublich freundlich! Die Lage war optimal! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und sind länger geblieben, als geplant.

Quite place. Near downtown makes it good to know a lot of places
No parking in front, the main door is always closes and you need to wait for people to open it for you.

The parking is too far. The sidewalk at the entrance is too narrow and dangerous since cars run really close to entrance gate. They do no have breakfast.

Very helpful staff for onward transport, very comfy bed and brilliant hot, powerful shower (a little dated but who cares when it works well). Very good value for money. Also lovely courtyard

The location was very central and felt safe.
The garden was nice for relaxing.
There was a kitchen available to use.
We had to ask for the room to be cleaned, which should have been done in the morning without asking.
Beds were not the comfiest. You sunk in the middle of the mattress’ dip so I didn’t have the best sleep.
Not much room in the shower room. The shower /toilet arrangement was poor. The toilet light turned on the light in bedroom as well.

Excellent location and such great service. The place was clean and great value for the price. We were also able to park in a secure, gated lot which was great. Would highly recommend!

This place was amazing! Definitely recommend to everyone! I would definitely come back! The staff is so polite and so friendly! Eric was amazing, on top of everything we needed! The owner is also so friendly! It was a pleasure staying there. It’s also walking distance to a lot of tourist areas, shopping and restaurants.
There is nothing to not like! Everything was perfect!

Not sure we are ready to leave this wonderful accommodation. The bed and shower are the best we have had since leaving home 6 weeks ago. Staff are super friendly and always available, they spend a lot of time making sure everything is clean and tidy. Coffee in the morning, filtered water. Close to historical centre. Lovely outside space
A large knife for cutting food. Be aware they only Spanish speaking

In the center of town a quiet place, with perfect staff. The room was nice and comfortable, but not all rooms have a window. Luckily I was allowed to change to a room with a window. I really need that.

We really enjoyed staying at Las Puertas. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room was very quiet considering that we were in a hostel. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would recommend staying here.
My opinion is that the pillows were a bit firm for my taste, but that is because I use a special pillow at home.

good location. short walk to the plaza and various bus stops for trips to volcan Santa ana and ruta Flores etc.
clean, good WiFi, fairly basic but clean and decent enough kitchen for use.
people have mentioned having to ring the door bell for the front door. it’s true, but not particularly inconvenient. until recently things have been a lot more difficult/ dangerous in El Salvador, so it’s just a good security measure stemming from that.

Perfect stay, comfortable beds, one of the best nights sleep we have had in our 9 months travelling in central America. Staff very pleasant. Good location.

This is a wonderful place locating very near the main square. The reception lady is so nice and willing to assist with everything. She has made a great effort helping me to arrange the shuttle for boat crossing to Nicaragua. Even without success, I recognised her kind heart and willingness to help.

Cockroach crawling on my leg in the shower.... and the water was COLD - the bathroom was a cave (!)
No soundproofing, you could here all what was going on everywhere.... but, bed and airconditon was pretty OK. Staff was doing their best to help with my requests, and the location is pretty good when you want to see the Cathedral and surrounding areas.
You don't get more than you pay for. Actually you have to pay 5% extra if you pay by creditcard, that was not mentioned in the booking process.
