Best place in the nest part of the island with the best host

The location is great. On main street going down into Calheta near the bottom just behind bar and a bank. 2 minutes walk to the neach 6 or 7 minutes walk to supermarket. 2 minutes from Church. Located on the sunny south-west coast. Only 35 minutes drive via new expressway from Funchal. Within easy drive of natural lava pools on north coast, 10 minuyes from beauthiful Ponta do Sol. 20-25 minutes from the wonderful mountain centre at Racabal - from where many levada walks start. Served also by buses. Best of all Marco's preparations and willingness to go to great lenghts to meet us and give a couple a lift there from Funchal. Nothing too much trouble. Grudniowy tydzień z trójką małych dzieci.

Bardzo przestronny dom z nieskończoną ilością pokoi, dwiema łazienkami i ogromem miejsca. Znakomita lokalizacja bardzo blisko plaży - idealna dla rodzin i grup z dziećmi.

Widać, że dom ma nie tylko duszę ale i swoje lata.

Pokud se na Madeiru znovu vrátíme, určitě se ubytujeme na stejném místě.

Na ubytování nebylo co vytknout. Skvělá lokalita, parkovací místo jsme vždy našli, po příjezdu na nás čekal milý dáreček - ovoce, místní koláč a lahev skvělého vína. Ubytování je velice prostorné, čisté a pan Marco byl velice ochotný. Bonusem je krásný výhled na moře a zahrádka s grilem.

Estava tudo ótimo, casa espaçosa com tudo o que precisamos para nos servir, otima churrasqueira e terraço e uma vista espetacular a praia da calheta. Obrigada sr Marco pelo miminho que nos deixou de cortesia. A nossa familia adorou

Excellent location, huge house, two terraces with view of the ocean, responsive host.

The Casa is located conveniently very close to the beach in Calheta, and a short walk to an excellent grocery store. The house is very large with 3 bedrooms on the main floor, and two bedrooms upstairs. There is a set of stairs to reach the first floor and lower terrace, for those who have difficulty with stairs. Also quite a narrow stairway to reach the second floor bedrooms. Both terraces (upper and lower) were beautiful spaces to hang out and look out over the ocean. The house was extremely clean, the kitchen is very well equipped and Marco was a responsive host. There is a huge bonus room with a large TV (including Netflix) at the street level. Lots of room and games for kids. Excellent value for money.

We had no issues with the property. Would just caution people who have issues with climbing stairs. Also there is no dedicated parking, but lots of street (free) parking nearby.

Excelente estadia

Muito bem localizado para passear pela ilha, com uma praia de areia muito perto. Supermercado perto. Quase ao lado tem um café que faz brunch. A casa deu perfeitamente para 10 pessoas, para dormir e tomar o pequeno-almoço. O terraço com mesa enorme é uma mais valia. Na casa já existem alguns consumiveis como por exemplo de limpeza. Gostamos muito do anfitrião, que inclusive nos deixou uns miminhos de boas vindas. Boa relação qualidade/preço

O acesso ao piso superior é feito por uma escada estreita e não há wc nesse piso. Tem 2 wc no andar de baixo. Pode ser um condicionante para algumas pessoas.

Exceptional

Marcos house is wonderful in every way. There is loads of space inside and out. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need including a fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. The bedrooms are a good size and very comfortable. There's plenty of spare linen if you need it. There are two bathrooms, one with a brilliant shower and the other with a bath. There are two outside areas, one with a big bbq and a massive roof terrace with amazing views over the village and sea. It's located a 5 minute walk from the beach, supermarket and restaurants. Marco was very helpful and very quick to reply to any queries via WhatsApp. All in all, one of the best rental properties I've been to.

Excellent location with excellent terrace and good views .Marco was very helpfull from the moment we booked the house and helped us with local information ,You can easily walk to all local shops , restaurants , bars and beach and for other trips a taxi is very reasonable

The host Marco was very helpful and informative. The house is huge and has great facilities with two large patio areas with great ocean views for dolphin spotting. Very close to sandy beach and the marina.

Great house at a fantastic location for a relaxed holiday with (or without) kids.

This is a big, spacious house, with three floors, and two terraces for eating outside, sunbathing, children playing, having a barbecue or watching the small lizards living in the rocks next to the house... It has everything one needs for a great holiday. It's 3 minutes walking to the beach of Calheta and less than 10 to the local supermarket and some restaurants. Both the house and Calheta are a very good place for a family holiday with kids. And Marco was a fantastic host, waiting for us with the keys when we arrived late. He showed us the house and gave information on all kinds of things, including the levadas up the hills. He was also very responsive to questions during our stay. We would definitely like to come back.

A lovely house and a very nice host in a great location.

Marco was in the property when we arrived. We went for a quick tour of the house and we started our one week holidays. Everything you need is in the house. Washing machine and dishwasher helped a lot. Nice views from the rooftop onto the sea. The ground level terrace is very nice as well between the kitchen and the bbq.

Like a second home

The house is perfectly located near the beach, the supermarket en some great restaurants. The house has 6 bedrooms, a living room, a spacious , a playroom for the kids and two great outdoor spaces with a barbecue. I was so great to relax a couple of day with our family. The kids didn’t want to leave the house, since they were too busy playing! It truly felt like a home away from home.

This house is in perfect location for Calheta beach. Sometimes we didn't even put on shoes to go for a swim! And the views are amazing. Lovely to eat outside, under the shade of the canopy, and look at the mountains and sea.

Fantastic break by the sea

Absolutely loved this house! Gorgeous outside (in fact better than the pictures) very well equipped for children, toys, high chair and more. Lovely bbq in the garden and great living space. It’s a few minutes walk from the beach which is lovely. There’s even a shower in the garden and a rooftop terrace as well. We extended our stay an extra three nights and I would definitely return. We are a family of four.
