Excellent property. We ended up booking a second night. Would definitely stay there again!

Great location! It was very central and close to town and everything you could need. The bathroom showers were hot and had excellent water pressure. They provided lovely quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, liquid hand soap, body lotion and bar soap. The master shower was HUGE. Those were the best showers we had in all of Costa Rica. Wifi was excellent. Free secure parking (behind a gate, opened by key pad) Staff was excellent. Erny greeted us with a cold drink, lots of great information and answered any questions we had that came up during our stay by texted on Whatsap. Living room had two large sofas that were comfortable. Condo was spacious. The kids liked the cute loft in their room. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need to prepare a meal. We only had basic cooking but at a quick glance it seems to have most things. They provided a large jar of coffee & sugar Semi-in-door pool was nice and hot. There were bathrooms by the pool.

Where we reverse our car to leave, the drive was tight and eroded. The hill to the property was VERY steep so we drove every- we did not walk. No AC in the living room.

Superb - better than the pictures

Great place, the pictures don't do it justice, amazingly clean and the pool is a nice place to hang out. Great to relax after a days trekking really helpful host too helped with everything

Wouldn't recommend the walk to town will need to drive if you have kids

Great personal house in a 3-property gated plot with a surprisingly nice, heated pool

Excellent accommodation in a private, gated area with three houses. Keys are collected from the reception of a property meters down the road. The pool was heated and an unexpectedly great amenity after long days hiking through cloud forests or going to adventure parks. We prepared our own meals in the kitchen, which was reasonably provisioned. A dehumidifier in the property was a great addition and while there was no air conditioning, it wasn't needed during our July visit. Quiet, clean and overall a great home during our stay in Monteverde. Parking on site and behind the gate is provided for each house.

The property is located up a steep hill and during the rain in our 2-wheel drive car I had some difficulty up the road, but nothing insurmountable. The Wi-Fi is publicly available and I would prefer a password with strong security standards.

This was a great property for our family. The kids loved the pool and games in the home. It was a great place for our family adventures in Monteverde. The staff was very helpful as well!

modern home, pool, just three home on site, nature views, kitchen

without car one feel stuck at location due to steep hike from downtown so I would highly recommend renting a car if you taking this home, howling wind noise in night, ants, no wardrobe to hang cloths, kitchen some non stick pans need replacement, no AC, lack of darkness in bedroom after 6.30am (dark curtain would help)

Lovely place — A+ accommodation!

Everything was perfect…Douglass was very accommodating, the place was very clean, the location was great (close enough to walk to town and get a good workout on the way back trudging up the hill), and the view was beautiful. I hope you stay here and enjoy it as much as we did.

Beautiful house. Very clean and quiet. Quirky little place with space in higher floor. Beautiful views from up there of the stars at night. Pool was good to have at the end of a hard day.

Heaters could be left in both bedrooms not just one.

super nice location, everything was super clean and organized. pool area clean and nice and warm.

there was no wardrobe in one of the rooms so we couldn’t hang any clothes. only one room had some drawers but space was limited.

Enjoyable

Nice apartment for a family of 4, well equipped kitchen, big enough beds, very comfortable, great view, nice small pool (fun for kids).

check in has to be done two streets higher; it’s a bit confusing as there are many different accommodations. But it is doable ;)

Excellent stay. Spacious, very comfortable and impeccable cottage with great beds, a fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms and mezzanine (cottage for 6 persons). Very pleasant pool area: the swimming pool is heated and sheltered so you can fully enjoy. Very welcoming and helpful staff.

Comfortable and modern cabins, great staff

Location was superb, gated bunch of cabins, very modern and clean with all amenities, kitchenware etc. Very kind reception staff, with whom we conveniently interacted via WhatsApp. Thanks Emily for the help in organizing everything. (We highly recommend Selvatura for the zip lines and hanging bridges walk. Also the Green restaurant and Tramonti!)

The only strange thing was lack of hot enough water in the shower, in spite of having everything intact in the kitchen and bathroom sinks. Also due to high winds in the area, it can get pretty noisy at night, but that may be regarded as an adventure, a kind of feature rather than a bug ;-)

BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL STAY!!!

I love the location really close to the town, the house was really clean and spacious. Had all the amenities included, beautiful views.

The pool needs to be cleaned and the common facilities did not appear properly maintained. I did have a hard time sleeping because it was really really windy and very loud, but I'm sure there are quiet nights as well.

Hot water in the shower- the water were not very hot, and we could only use one shower at a time because of this issue. other then that- great!

Green Forest Rustic Houses are located in close proximity to the main town and many tour attractions. The homes are beautiful and well equipped. We booked two houses for our family. The rooms are large and the bathrooms are huge! There is a small kitchenette in each house with everything you need to cook meals. They also have a nice seating area and dining table. The wood use to build the home is really nice. The view from the cabins were nice too. One of them had a better view than the other (Cerro Plano). There is also a heated pool in the property. We did not use it since we had been in several other places already with pools but it looks like a great pool.

Cozy beautiful house

Loved our staying!! The bedroom is very big and the bed was *super* comfortable! The kitchen was fully equipped and the outside warm pool was great! Very good value for money

The water temperature in the shower can be bit more hot. It was a bit cold, a Heater could been nice

Would recommend Green Forest Rustic Houses to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Monteverde

The location was perfect! The pool was heated which was lovely after hiking all day. The owner left coffee, filters and packets of sugar/sweetner for us and the bath products were lovely. The house smelled great and appeared very clean. Shower was hot and quite spacious with plenty of towels including pool towels. Also a hair dryer, which I appreciated. The beds were comfortable and the wrap around balcony with seating was great. We had parking and using the gate code to enter each time made us feel very secure.

Could have used the instructions for the humidifier. We could not find them. Also, posting a sign on both sides of the drive would be super helpful. We used GPS to find the house, but we pulled in the wrong drive the first time and went snooping in the next door neighbors back yard before figuring out we were in the wrong place. Ooops! :)

Exceptional

Absolutely amazing stay. A little tricky to find but it was easy once we found the Choco cafe and used that as our bread crumb. Clean, staff was super nice. There is also a local dog that’ll greet you and you better give him pets!!!

I had to leave the dog.

Awesome stay at your property. The key arrangement is perfect.

The house is exactly look like how the picture showed on booking.com No surprises about how it look. Everything is clean and new. I also like the swimming pool area. Guess can eat and picnic in there. It has bathroom, table, chairs and plates, cups for anyone want to party in there. Very nice airbnb I ever seen. I'm very satisfy with the property because it's new, up to date and clean. Swimming pool area is a bonus for us with kids and for whoever stay there for more than 2 nights. They can picnic in the swimming pool area. Good customer service

laundry service is too expensive.
