The pool facility and mini arcade was ok for the kids and us. Also having the poppit sands beach on its door step was brill. It was peaceful and relaxing
We just didn’t overly enjoy staying in the caravan - too small. Also very overpriced comparing to over holidays we’ve stayed in but enjoyed more.

Love the entertainment that Dave provided for the children as with out him the children really didn’t have much on offer other than a small play area and very small arcade area which consisted of 5 games which x3 didn’t work .
Not enough for children, pool looked great but was awfully cold, jacuzzi was not in operation. Club house didn’t open until 4pm. Place was too small in relation to how to number of caravans based on site I believe their was 100 vans but the club house would cater to around 15-20 ppl any more would be overwhelming for the staff to cope with. I also struggled with trying to work out why this holiday park was rated a 5 star ? I would say this is a 3 star considering where we have stayed before. Also no bedding covers provided for the single beds ? Was told the only things we would need to bring would be towels and tea towels , we had to go off to Tesco to buy new bedding covers for the children as it didn’t feel right without covers.

The caravan we stayed in was I think a mid-range one. It had a lovely kitchen, table and chairs, 2 decent sized sofas and TV with Freeview/smart apps to use. We had a small veranda area opening out of the living room, which was great to use for wet swimming stuff and also to sit out on (of course). The bathroom was decently sized too, shower had good pressure and the en suite in the main bedroom was welcomed.
The beds weren't the comfiest, but also were better than most hotels I've stayed in! My little one liked his tiny bed, as he called it, and there was plenty of storage for us all, especially the main bedroom wardrobe and shelves - huge.
We had wifi in our van, which I was apprehensive about as other reviews mentioned they didn't have this and a cost of £40 p/w to get some.
The site is based in the valley off the main beach, Poppitt Sands. I read some reviews saying the roads were treacherous and difficult, however I don't feel they differ much from the country lanes here in Yorkshire, so was okay navigating these on our journeys in and out. The beach is very close, a 2 minute drive or 10 minute walk (at most).
The staff were friendly and informative. I feel there was a divide in the hospitality staff to front of house (so to speak), as we found out from some caravan owners that the park was recently taken over by John Fowler and the original owners no longer work there. It seemed as though those on reception had a different understanding or set of information to the staff in the bar and lounge.
Overall, this is a beautiful and lovely park to stay at. The grounds are well kept, surroundings are scenic and stunning. The only downside, as many other reviews state, there is just not much to do around and nowhere nearby to get groceries, essentials - you would have to ensure it is brought with you or take a trip out to stock up (like we had to), which can be quite time consuming. Though, this isn't the fault of the park - obviously.
One of the spare single beds wasn't made up for our little boy when we arrived. I requested some bedding, as was just a mistake and I offered to do this myself happily. It came up quite quickly from the office, however the bottom flat sheet was covered in mould spores and had stains all over. Luckily I'd brought some sheets from home just in case, so used this instead. Notably, I didn't mention this to the team as it kept slipping my mind, and we had our own to use in place of it so wasn't a big problem and didn't affect our stay in any way. Just not very nice.
You have to book slots for swimming on the John Fowler app. This is great in the grand scheme of things, as it guarantees you a swim and ensures it's not too busy. However, you can only book 1 hour at a time and I didn't like my holiday leisure timed off like this. If it wasn't busy, the bar staff said you can just stay in, but it felt cheeky. You can then only book another slot on the app if your session has ended, you cancel it off and then rebook another time. I feel the slots should be extended at least, maybe to 90 mins, or be able to book two in a row perhaps.
On the days food is available from the lounge (when we went, this was Thursday to Monday 4-9pm, so no food services on site Tues & Weds), it said you can place an order for takeaway collection on the holiday park app. This didn't work, the link just never loaded. Again, not the biggest inconvenience as we were only halfway up the park so not far to walk. Hopefully was just a glitch, but worthwhile feeding back.
The caravans are like paper - we could hear every footstep from the large family next to us. I was woken once or twice in the early hours by them still up running around (by the sound of it). I realise they aren't houses so not exactly sound proof, but it was frustrating at times constantly hearing the banging and noise from across the way.

Very clean and tidy food very good like you can take it away and eat in your carvan. Play area very good clean and tidy.
Access to carvan not easy for disabled person with scooter could do with drop kerbs. Would have like to use club house but close Tuesday Wednesday.

The location was fab the facilities were fantastic and made our holiday.
The pool could of stayed open a little longer and the main bedroom bed could do with being a bit bigger.

Our late 3 day stay was quiet, what we wanted, Beach was nearby, van was clean, plenty of room, easy to find, pity it wasn’t longer. Didn’t use the facilities so can’t comment.
Had trouble with tv, kept freezing, don’t know if it was weather or location, van did smell of curry when we entered, had to wash cutlery and crockery as some were still dirty, didn’t use the facilities so can’t comment.only other problem we had was didn’t find anywhere to eat on the Wednesday night, everything was closed, it was my birthday and we ended up with takeout chips! I appreciate this is not the parks fault but wish we had known beforehand.

We'd been there twice this year. Is great. We love the swimming pool, the children play area, the fact that is very quiet and that is not any phone reception. We can detach from everything for couple of days. Just lovely
The departure time to be later in the day. 10am is very early and with a baby is hard, we have to rush him

Great location and the facilities available looked very good
Half drank can of Coca-Cola left on the counter wasn’t a great welcome as soon as you walk in.
The pin provided for the gate did not work.
Took us a while to find the caravan. Why the property number could’ve been provided on the email?

Great Location and site- small and well kept. Friendly staff. Clean.
Towels (bath and swim) could be provided even if for extra cost like they do at Eurocamp etc. Takes up quote a bit of space in the car if you are a bigger family.
