What a beautiful property! This place had everything I wanted… seclusion, a pond right off the wrap around porch, a pioneer cemetery, and pet friendly so I was able to bring my small dog. The house was clean and stocked with essentials in case we forgot anything. The tomatoes Richard brought us were delicious! Thank you Marsha & Richard for a wonderful stay!

Visited area to see an Indiana Fever game. This location was perfect; 25 minute drive to Indy! The Hutch House was magnificent. We walked the 9 acres, fished in the pond and caught 16" and 18" bass. This was the best stocked house house we have ever stayed. With lots of extras. Beautiful home and property. Thank you Richard and Marsha.

Staying in the "Hutch House" was a delight! The house itself is very comfortable and full of character. The home was immaculate and had everything we needed. Relaxing on the deck overlooking the pond was wonderful, as were walks on the sprawling property. Thank you to Richard and Marsha for your hospitality and for sharing your special home with us. The treats you brought us were an added bonus! I recommend this home for anyone seeking a peaceful, quiet experience that's not far from the city.

In town to catch 3 Fever home games. Best of both worlds….. close to downtown but far enough to feel secluded. Blue gills love red worms and caught a few nice sized bass too

We really enjoyed this unique property, tucked away in the country yet close to everything. It was so peaceful and relaxing! We enjoyed watching the turtles in the pond, the swing and the rockers on the porch. Everything was clean and well stocked, and the hosts were so easy to work with and very pleasant. We hope to stay there again!

We enjoyed our visit at this cabin! It is a great property. The dining room windows give a great view of the pond, and the main floor deck overlooks it as well. Due to property size, it was just us and nature. Our small dog enjoyed the freedom of being able to go around off leash. Would stay here again!

This place is a hidden gem for nature lovers, not far at all from the city. It is tremendously relaxing, peaceful, and serene, with plenty of waterfowl to enjoy on the pond.
The host was wonderful and attentive, and the property was well-kept.

Beautiful quaint log cabin in private setting. Hosts were amazing once we started communications. Very thoughtfully had fresh flowers on the table, a few special treats in the refrigerator to celebrate the special occasion, and was privileged to be able to talk to them several times during my trip. Loved the fairy lights on the headboard! Welcome book is very clear to understand. Relaxing, peaceful, clean. Thank you for a great week ☺️ and I look forward to the next stay with you.

Loved the time visiting and they included special touches like spices and coffee filters. I lost an expensive earring and they found and shipped it for me. The best part is the view outside and the animals around the property. Saw 5 deer, geese and horses. Highly recommend. A piece of home making me remember being a Hoosier born country girl. God bless. Go Hoosiers!

I loved my stay at Hutch House…
Lovely place-enjoyed exploring the pond, fields and pioneer graveyard! The cabin is nice and very cozy. Well supplied and homey. Welcoming. I was very comfortable.
Richard and Marsha are exemplary hosts. Met me at the cabin and were so welcoming. Left me a lovely bottle of wine and some yummy homemade butternut squash soup! There was a struggle with the upstairs fireplace, they were so kind and responsive.
I look forward to my next retreat at Hutch House.

This is my favorite place. Keep coming back for the beauty, privacy and joy of staying at such an amazing property. The hosts go above and beyond to make every stay special. To anyone searching for a fabulous and beautifully unique stay in the Indy area, choose the Hutch House, you won’t be disappointed. Yes, it is that wonderful! Thank you to the most incredible hosts ever for sharing this gem.

Beautiful, and secluded property. The host is very thoughtful. They had a fire starter already in the fire pit for us, had fresh flowers in a vase on the kitchen table, left tomatoes from the garden for us, had fall decorations, and more. There were tons of old, and interesting books available to read. We really felt like our time at the Hutch House was an experience instead of a place to stay.

The home and its surroundings are beautiful. So much peace and quiet, fishing catch and release, and animals / birds you do not see everyday

We really enjoyed our time at this cabin. The living areas were clean, comfortable and inviting and bedrooms were nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked with pantry items, coffee and so much more.
If I were to find a negative it would be the outside areas. The patio and table could have been cleaned up to make it more inviting.

Everything about our stay at the Hutch House was perfect. The property is clean and well-stocked with just about anything you would need. The owners even left a few of the most delicious, homegrown tomatoes - we enjoyed every bite. Our dog loved wandering the property, and we spent every morning and evening outside relaxing by the pond and enjoying nature. We could not stop talking about how quiet and peaceful it was, while still being a convenient distance to stores and restaurants. We are already planning a return visit for next year.

This property was amazing! We fished, we played games, and had family dinners. Our children are 6 and 12 years old and they enjoyed the fire pit, supplied sports balls, foosball and fishing spots. We saw so many animals too! The home was well stocked with anything you may need or even want. Don’t be worried about the age of home, the updates keep in line with the overall theme. It is very well cared for and it was great to be in a 200 year old home with modern amenities. The dining room overlooks the pond and we enjoyed all of our dinners looking out at nature. The owners were so kind and accommodating. Mr. Richard even picked fresh tomatoes for us to enjoy. We would love to go back and would of course highly recommend this home.

We were in Indianapolis for a Youth Bowling tournament for 2 of our kids. We rented instead of going to a hotel and being cooped up with 6 of us plus 2 dogs. This cabin was awesome! It is 15-20 minutes from almost everything! Haha. We got to visit all our stops and still enjoy down time fishing and playing games at the cabin.
We underestimated the sleeping arrangements but worked it out. Inside was SO clean and welcoming! We had no issues inside. Only wish the outside got the TLC the inside gets. I think we would have enjoyed more fishing if the grass wouldn't have been so long so we could spot the snakes easier and bushes maintained a bit better, landscaping just needs some TLC. Didn't use the fire pit again because of snakes around it, kinda wish it was down in the area by the cabin and lake more. But Richard is amazing to work with and we will definitely be back in a few years when we return for another bowling tournament.

We had a communication situation and this host went out of his way to resolve things. Honestly can say it’s been a long time since I had someone work this hard to help resolve a problem! I look forward to potentially staying at this place in the future.

We had a great time. The grandsons would not stop fishing , they even found a 200 year old treasure chest from a map they found in the old tree. It was an exciting time. Thank you for a great getaway. We caught 22 bluegills, 1bass , 1 small turtle and 1 big snapping turtle that are still thriving in the pond.

Absolutely perfect! This was just what my husband & I needed! Beautiful 200 year old cabin tucked far away back in the corner of the property for complete privacy! When you open the front door and walk in you'll know you picked the right place! So beautiful and absolutely adorable! To be able to sit down and eat at the kitchen table and feel like you're sitting outside on the pond, watching the Blue Heron's sit on the edge of the pond catching their dinner, to the ponds Muskrat working all day long collecting his tall grass/weeds along the edge and then swimming back across the way to fix up his homes, to the Bullfrogs talking back and fourth all night and the many different birds singing all day long it's just perfect! Sitting on that deck drinking your coffee and watching the sunrise was perfect! We brought our 9 year old Dachshund (Shelby Sue) who had the best time ever! There's nothing you'll need here but your own food and toiletries! Richard & Marsha have made sure there's nothing you'll need because everything is here! They were both such great people and made sure you felt welcomed!
I promise you won't be disappointed that you've picked this beautiful cabin♡. We'll definitely be back! I'd love to stay in the fall! Marsha I thank you for doing what you did for us♡♡.
