To the rear of the property there is a sheltered area for that leisurely morning cup of coffee. Steps lead to a sunny raised dining terrace bordered with bamboo and ferns. A lockable shed is provided for the storage of your bicycles if required.

Their is parking for a small car outside crab Cottage or off street parking along Waterloo Road.
The Area......
Lymington is a bustling market town on the edge of the beautiful New Forest and stunning coastline offering the perfect short break or longer.
The high street has many interesting shops, designer boutiques, a museum and an amazing Saturday market dating back to the thirteenth century. From the cobbled quayside there is the wonderful pastime of "crabbing" for young budding fishermen and many boat trips are available to explore the river and beyond. Kayaks are also available to hire. Further along the river are the Lymington open air sea water baths with an amazing inflatable course - it provides amazing fun for children and there is even a sand pit and paddling pool for toddlers.
Woodside Park with it's secret gardens is a perfect place for picnics, tennis and an outdoor gym are part of the amenities there. For golf lovers there is a full size eighteen hole course and also a new adventure golf site , a new concept in mini golf.
The beautiful New Forest Park with it's free roaming ponies and donkeys offers miles of unspoilt walking trails and delightful villages to explore. There are many new Forest activities, horse riding and a New Forest tour bus which runs daily in the summer months. Why not bring your bikes and cycle for miles along the coastal paths or through the ancient woodlands. Bikes are readily available to hire if you do not have your own.
We are also close to the wonderful Pig Hotel at Brockenhurst for that special lunch or dinner treat well worth a visit. Special spa days are available at the Chewton Glen or Carey's Manor hotels both close by.
Lymington has so much to offer - come and see for yourselves!

Wonderful stay in great location.

A beautifully furnished and well-designed home with lots of seaside detailing. Everything was clean and fresh with good equipment, towels and bed linens. The house is in a great location close to transports, shops and restaurants. Although not large it was good for a short stay. The hosts were extremely welcome and sent us all the information we needed.

Had a lovely stay at Crab Cottage, which has been updated to an excellent standard, very stylish & with some nice artistic features including a tranquil outside space. It had everything we needed for our stay and was so comfortable (specially the kingsize bed). Great location for the waterfront & town & enjoyed evening walks over the nearby bridge to otter watch (we heard locals say they’ve lived there years and not seen these elusive creatures!) Our trip came to an end too soon and hope we can return again soon. Thank you R&S

Lovely cottage in a great location. Accommodation equipped really well; spotlessly clean, lovely colour palette for decoration. Perfect location for long (or short) walks. Plenty of dining opportunities within 7 minutes stroll.

Very well located cottage with free on-street parking, close to train station and only a 5 min walk to the centre of Lymington. Cottage is very small but nicely decorated. Outside area is quite overshadowed and a bit tired looking, but we would’ve probably still used it if the weather had been better! Wendy was a great host - really good comms.

Property very cosy and spotless.
Highly recommend indeed.

Crab cottage is the ideal place to explore the new forest. Beautifully spotless and ideal for our small family (me and my two boys aged 9 and 11). Great for walking into town, or visiting nearby attractions such as Beaulieu. We ate out at the nearby Bosuns Chair (good pub grub, good service), Haven (20 min walk but well worth it, great food, service for a slightly more special meal out) and the Walhampton Arms (short drive, good food, although was very quiet for a Friday evening). The cottage had everything you would need, couldn't fault it. Dont be put off by proximity to the railway station - you couldn't hear a single thing!

Great location for walking into town, bars and restaurants. Also very close to the train station to Brockenhurst - takes 8mins. We also walked to the nature reserves/wetlands.
Very comfortable stay and lovely to be able to leave the car. Cottage was warm and comfortable, we slept well however only
suggestion would be to take an eye mask as the blinds are not black out.

3 night stay with teenage daughter joining us from uni. We just wanted a rest, in excellent accommodation with great restaurants and cafes nearby and that’s exactly what we got. The free parking was a bonus.

Lovely clean, cozy comfortable cottage. In a great spot to explore Lemington and the surrounding area. We had a few rainy afternoons and the cottage was well equiped to keep us entertained until the sun came back out! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Such a pretty little cottage with cosy furnishings. It was well equipped with everything we could possibly need. We stayed with two teenage boys and it was perfect for a weekend break. I really loved the owner’s choice of decor. Parking directly outside the cottage was absolutely fine and it was only a short walk into town. Lymington has many good pubs, shops and a good fish and chip shop. There are lovely coastal walks nearby or the New Forest to explore.

A super cute, well equipped cottage in a great location. Only a few minutes walk to the shops, and eating spots in the town or 10/15 minutes to lovely walks along the shoreline.
There was every thing you need to cook a meal. Nice homely touches around the house styled by someone who cares about the overall experience.
Good quality bed linen and towels and plenty of cutlery and crockery so you don’t have to wash up your only set after each meal.
WOULD ABSOLUTELY HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOOKING!
(Do be aware that the stairs are steep which may not suit everyone)

We had 3 nights at Crab Cottage. We were lucky with lovely weather and the cottage was just as described. It was great for two of us but think it might be a bit tight if we had required the other beds. We used the beds to keep our suitcases open as there wasn’t a lot of space to unpack but it worked for us! A lovely cottage in a lovely seaside village.

Great little cottage in centre of Lymington, everything you need is no more than a few minutes walk. Cottage is beautifully furnished. Relaxing and quiet courtyard style back garden.

Short break
We Really enjoyed our stay at crab cottage it’s a well presented property and a great location for exploring the south coast.
It was especially handy for the train station which we took advantage of a few times during our stay.
The cottage is well equipped and the owners have provided everything you could need.
The only negative was the lack of parking you can park outside the cottage but it’s a very narrow street so we parked further down the street when there was a space available.
Overall we would certainly stay here again in the future 👍

Weekend Stay
Clean and comfortable accommodation in a good location to the town. Parking was no problem. Well equipped with a good range of quality kitchen facilities. Very comfortable beds and bedding. The perfect weekend getaway.

A really enjoyable stay.
The house is located in a fairly quiet road near the train and bus station, the house is very well appointed and nicely done. Although it is small it is well laid out, the beds are a good size and very comfortable.
Due to many parking restrictions and permit parking around the town, roads that have no restrictions are at a premium and this is one of them. Parking can be an issue and there were several occasions when we couldn't park on the road. Fortunately I did find a road 5 minutes walk away where I could leave the car until a space became available.
Other than that the house is in a very good location for the high street and quayside.
Lymington itself is a nice town with plenty of nice places to eat, although booking in advance is a good idea in our experience.

Central location
Thanks for a great stay in Lymington at Crab cottage. The cottage was furnished to a high standard and we enjoyed all the crab decoration/touches everywhere. Space-wise is was fine for us (a couple) and one big tall teen. It would have been a squeeze for more. Parking is limited on Waterloo Rd so we used nearby car parks. We enjoyed the Bosun's Chair pub nearby, the Solent Way walk and the Marina sea views which are all walking distance from the front door. Go to nearby Brockenhurst to see the wild ponies and the New Forest Wildlife Park for a tranquil day watching deer etc.

Great location in Lymington
A great cottage near all the main aminities of Lymington. Tastefully furnished. Great shower downstairs. You have to be careful on the stairs though as they are very steep. You can do a lovely coastal walk from the front door which we enjoyed. Lots of good nearby pubs and restaurants.

Lovely cottage - great location
Crab cottage is in a great location for exploring Lymington and the New Forest. It was equipped to a very high standard with everything you could need included a good hairdryer - lovely towels and linen. Kitchen equipment was of superior standard - as was the furnishings and decor. Perfect for 4 adults!

Lovely little cottage
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this cute little well maintained cottage which is within easy walking distance of both the Railway Station and Town Centre. The Isle of Wight ferry terminal is also only a short distance away. Our only slight disappointment was that the outside terrace did not reflect the photographs shown on the booking information. That said with a little attention to cleaning and weeding the flooring area plus some refreshing wood treatment would be just perfect. The parking was a bit of a challenge but we anticipated that and it wasn’t a problem at all so long as you don’t expect to park outside the front door. All in all a great experience and many thanks to the hosts for their kind attentive communications with us during our stay.

Lovely, cosy cottage.
We found Crab Cottage to have everything we needed for a short break. The bed was extremely comfortable, the house was clean to a high standard and provided everything that we might need. It’s position was handy for the quay, walks and shops. Our only criticism is that we thought that the parking issues could be clearer on the website. We were unable to park outside and there was not always a space in Waterloo Road. I expect Covid restrictions have meant more local residents parking all day. Couldn’t fault the cottage.

Good Central Location
Good location with a short walk to Lymington town centre. The accommodation is in the compact side, but furnished to a high standard and very clean. The owner was very helpful and parking is close to property.

wonderful stay!
A fantastic property - small and perfectly formed. Every single thing is very high spec - real luxury throughout and the most comfortable bed! Quiet and central location. Open plan downstairs was great for family togetherness time. Hosts were great. A bit tricky to park outside - road is a bit narrow, but not a major issue unless you have a particularly large car. We loved the cottage!
