Leuk verblijf voor goede prijs.

Het was een super aangenaam verblijf in Zayali. Ligging was goed op wandelafstand van centrum. Vriendelijke gastvrouw. Huiselijke sfeer. De kamer was basic maar netjes. Alles was aanwezig!

Famille super gentille. Excellent accueil. Aide pour réserver le catamaran sur la lagune à un bon prix. Chambre confortable et propre. Piscine agréable. Il y a de quoi étendre les maillots et serviettes.

Good stay with hammock

Two separate beds with enough space to move around room. Outside was a table and two chairs plus a hammock.

Swimming pool was just to sit down in and not to swim.

Home away from home

We loved our stay at Zayali, the place is very homely, comfortable and offers calm environment to relax. The kitchen was well equipped and we really enjoyed cooking in the open space. The garden is great, lots of plants everywhere and plenty of sitting area. We love all their pets too, Luna, Mini, Negrita and Tequila! The owners were super friendly and helpful and we loved getting to know them. Our room was comfortable with plenty of space to put our stuff and to relax after a long day out. Thank you for everything, we would definitely come back 100%. Some comments about hotels in this area say that's it's far away from the center or it feel unsafe at night. This was not true for us. The walk to town was quick and the area feels very suburban, home to friendly families. We never felt unsafe walking at night.

The only small thing we didn't like is that the first room we stayed in didn't have a window facing outside but this might not be a problem for some.

Lovely family home base aroung outdoor kitchen and garden.

Outdoor kitchen and lovely garden, freindly hosts who have realised travellers can’t carry oil, spices, salt etc everywhere to cook with. so they provide them. And coffee/tea and well kitted kitchen. Staff veRy helpful and friendly.

Just a bit too far from the centre, but nice location. our room had two windows one overlooking the road the other the washing line, but we spent most of our time in the garden.

Super schönes Guesthouse was wahnsinnig liebevoll vom Familienbetrieb geführt wird. Wir haben direkt eine Nacht verlängert da wir uns so wohl gefühlt haben. Die Besitzer sind sehr herzlich. Ich würde definitiv wieder kommen.

Perfect stay in Bacalar!!

We absolutely loved staying at this hotel. Everything was absolutely perfect and exactly as pictured. The room and bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable. The area is quiet at night. The property is family-run, creating a homely atmosphere. The owner was incredibly kind, always ready to help us, truly a wonderful person! We had a late-night bus, and she allowed us to stay beyond the checkout time, till late in the room and after in the common area. I highly recommend anyone to stay in this little corner of paradise🤗🤗

Tolle Gastgeber und super Küche

Manuel und seine Familie sind mehr als freundlich und wunderbare Gastgeber.Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen! Die Küche ist wirklich mehr als gut ausgestattet- hier kocht man gerne! Pluspunkt: es gibt für jedes Zimmer Boxen für das Aufbewahren von Lebensmitteln :) Betten waren bequem, mit TV und AC also wirklich perfekt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen!!!:)

Die Lage ist etwas weiter außerhalb vom Busterminal ca. 25 Minuten zu laufen. Der Weg ist es jedoch Wert :)

Wonderful spot in Bacalar

The Hotel was easy to find, right on the main road. We rented 2 rooms for our family of 4 adults. It feels much more spacious inside than I expected. The rooms were the best yet on our trip. The host family is friendly. We struggled a little because our Spanish is poor. The rooms were large and well equipped ( example with soap and towels). The AC worked. There is lots of space for parking on the street out front. The internet worked, especially in the courtyard. The breakfast looked good, although we didn't pay for it, as we wanted to try different cafes in the area. There is a fantastic breakfast place 1/2 block away if you choose. The vibe is very welcoming and relaxing. We were welcomed to use the kitchen, which is very well organized and clean. We recommend this Hotel for your stay in Bacalar!

The only small issue for us was 1 bed was not very comfortable. But it is a small complaint and we would stay here again. You can feel the love of the host family, we really appreciated that.

Allez y les yeux fermés

La famille qui nous accueille est adorable et arrangeante. On a vraiment l'impression d'être comme à la maison. La chambre est propre, la cuisine commune bien aménagée, la piscine est nickel. Je recommande fortement !

Seul bémol, il n'y avait pas de VMC dans la salle de bains Sinon TOUT était parfait !

Super hostel pour rester à Bacalar

Le personnel était très sympathique et accommodant. L'hostel a une ambiance familiale qui est calme et accueillant. La chambre était impeccable et propre.

La seule chose est qu'il y avait parfois de la vaisselle sale qui traînait dans la cuisine et sur les tables mais ce n'est rien de grave.

Très belle découverte

Famille très très accueillante, serviable et bienveillante. Les espaces communs sont super propres. La cuisine est la mieux équipée que nous ayons trouvée dans toutes les auberges de jeunesse que nous avons fait. La petite piscine est tres agréable et rafraîchissante. L'emplacement est bien, calme et malgré tout à 10 minutes à pied de la place où se trouvent beaucoup de restaurants. La laguna est également à quelques minutes de là

El personal, el trato familiar. La chica resolvió nuestras dudas y la familia en general muy amable. Además tienen muy buen servicio de colada.

La ubicación. La piscina no estaba utilizable y no nos avisaron y nos cobraron el mismo precio cuando no pudimos usarla. Hay animales por la casa, no es problema, pero cuando tienes alergia no es lo ideal.

Lugar encantador, cómodo y tranquilo

Lo mejor es la ubicación respecto a la laguna y el centro del pueblo. También la amabilidad de los dueños y lo bien que nos han tratado. El alojamiento tiene cocina compartida con nevera, por si quiere guardar comida. También una piscina pequeña pero cómoda.

Que no tenía papel higiénico ni jabón en el baño.

Amazing

The guesthouse is made with a lot of love and we enjoyed staying there a lot. Juanita and her husband are lovely, kind and made us feel home. The rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable and the pool is great. They have bikes, which makes it super easy to acces the center and the lagunas. One of my favourite places in Mexiko. Thanks a lot for everything, you doing a great job:)

Nice stay in a charming town.

Really nice place, nice family that runs it. Pool is small but really nice after a hot day. Kitchen is crowded with stuff but has everything you need. Bed is comfortable. Good shower.

Excellent place

Great place, the rooms are nice and clean, the attention is amazing (super friendly and attentive hosts), nice outdoor kitchen, beautiful garden with flowers, great atmosphere, safe, bikes for rent, pet and kids friendly. It's located in a quiet neighbourhood about a 10 mins walk away from the centre. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends! Don't doubt in staying here, you will meet the nicest hosts and practice your Spanish! Gracias Juanita y Manuel!

A great hotel with a lovely and friendly family that go out of there way to make your stay a favourite one. Rooms are spacious and clean with a lovely garden and pool. The owners are super nice and at night it's peaceful and relaxing with the hammocks out of the rooms. It's only 2km to the cenote azul and a short walk to the lake or town. Great place to stay 👌

Good

Run by a nice family. You have access to an outdoor kitchen that seemed to be quite well-equiped (we didn't use it). You can have your laundry done if you ask them. Overall good value for money as the rooms are quite cheap. I think it's a good option if you are looking for a cheap and clean accomodation with family vibes, probably even more so if you speak Spanish (which we didn't) and want to make use of the kitchen.

One disadvantage is that it is quite far from the Bacalar center; you either have to take a taxi or to walk around 15-17 minutes. Rooms are either quite small or without real windows. We decided to stay in the smaller room with window. The bed was good but also quite small (140cm). Breakfast was not always available or would have taken a very long time.

Clean room and that's about it

Price of an hotel but it's a guest house. The outside kitchen and pretty much the entire outside area is very dirty and smells very bad. You do no want to open the fridge. There's a lot of clutter and I saw an ant colony on a wall outside. There's also construction work happening on the premises. For that price, book an hotel. Also, do not book that location during carnival. The guest house was next to where it took place and we got loud music until 5 AM. The water pressure in the shower was so strong that it felt like I was in a rain storm.

This place is a gem - so welcoming, heartwarming and comfortable!

We loved it here! The family who owns and runs the property is so warm, welcoming and helpful. The room was basic but comfortable and very clean. The best part was the open area and common kitchen where we could connect with other travelers and visit with Manuel (the owner) and his family. They also had bikes available for rent. We were sad to leave!
