Gorgeous house. Lots of balconies overlooking forest with hammocks, loungers, chairs. Nice pool. Saw sloth, squirrel monkeys, Mccaws from house. Beware there are lots of steps that are not good for little kids. Hired private chef for breakfast and supper….well worth it to not have to go out each night. Concierge and host were wonderful to help us book excursions ( and our host David went and retrieved phone we left on sail boat). Main living areas get pretty warm (bedrooms air conditioned) but that seems to be the norm for house rentals. Highly recommend.

This place is incredible. The view from the balcony is breathtaking. The bedrooms are spacious and the living room is perfect for family and friends to gather and hang out after a day of exploring or adventure. The house staff keeps the place very clean. We got a chef for most days to make breakfast and dinner and that just made our trip even more relaxing. Carlos helped book all of our excursions, which went very smoothly. Highly recommend!!!!

The House is indeed beautiful, but unfortunately, the main living area lacks AC, making it uncomfortably warm during the day. On the bright side, the bedrooms have AC units and are cool and comfortable. The home's location 10-15 walk to a store and is convenient during the day, but walking at night might be a bit far and unsafe due to dark roads and wild life. The decor is lovely, and the staff are responsive and friendly. However, there's a concern about cooling off the upstairs when closing the glass doors due to an influx of bugs and Geckos each evening, making it a bit challenging.

My family of 5 ( ages twin 13 year olds and 23 year old) had an amazing time staying at this beautiful house. The house does have a lot of levels and stairs, I would not recommend this home for a family with young children. For our family it was nice to have some separation at the end of the day to unwind. The house needs a bit of TLC but overall very nice. We loved sitting on the many terraces enjoying the amazing views and wildlife life that would visit. We saw monkeys, raccoons, and our favorite was a parrot that joined us during breakfast and just sat on the terrace. It was a special moment. You can walk down the dirt road to a market and a restaurant other than that you will need a car or taxi to get everywhere. We did not rent a car and glad we didn’t as getting around was a little tricky. Getting a taxi was pretty simple. Carlos helped with all our needs while on site and was very responsive. The house keeper Sarah was very sweet and accommodating. We hired the chef for two nights which was delicious. One thing to note is you do not have personal access to laundry, the room is locked. Sarah does do laundry for you which is very nice but there were times I wanted to wash a few things at night and couldn’t. The area is remote but close to all activities. We did the full day waterfall tour, catamaran, zip lining, hot springs, national park and beech concierge. All included transportation and a great experience. Our family favorite was the full day waterfall tour.

We took our family of 6 with another family of 6 and had a wonderful time. The house is perfect. We love the housekeepers (especially Saray). Very helpful and great to help us. Carlos was good to help us with a few issues we had. Loved the monkeys and macaws that would visit often. Great air conditioning in the bedrooms. Would definitely visit again!

Perfect place for a 10 person family. Quiet and secluded but close to town, park and beach. Plenty of activities close by and a great place just to hang out.

Fabulous. Beautiful home that is close to everything. Host was amazing and so helpful. One of our top trips.

We had a wonderful stay at this house and are grateful for David the property manager who we got assigned once we checked in for all his awesome recommendations and help he provided when we had some troubles (sick kid, flat tire!). The house was pretty hot because there wasn’t a lot of breeze and it isn’t on the ocean side. But bedrooms were well air conditioned which was nice!

The villa is absolutely gorgeous. We were 5 adults/3 kids & had plenty of space. The large balconies have stunning forest/mountain views. The beds are comfortable & each room had its own ensuite. A/c in the bedrooms and games rm was much appreciated. The pool is small but perfect for cooling off.
David was fantastic arranging activities/rides. We arranged almost everything ahead of time but he was very responsive to short notice requests. Arranging activities through the concierge seems cost effective but beware that it's paid for in cash. At times it was a challenge to find USD at ATMs (everything quoted in USD) so it's helpful to have it on hand when you arrive. We did a trip to Manuel Antonio Park, beach day (definitely worth paying for chairs/shade), as well as a catamaran & snorkel w/ Sunset Sails which was a ton of fun.
We had visitors including white-faced & squirrel monkeys. Two beautiful scarlet macaws landed on our railing & chatted away!
The villa feels secluded but is not. There’s a small market (had everything we needed) just a 5-min walk away. There’s a restaurant next to the market that we didn’t visit. The beaches & Manuel Antonio park is just a short drive. The concierge arranged rides.
We hired 2 chefs for 3 nights.Be mindful when choosing your menu that items such as beef are pricey in Costa Rica. The grocery bills were $100, 140, and 250. They cooked more than enough food and we enjoyed leftovers for days.
An unforgettable family trip!

The house is just as beautiful as the photos! But what makes it even more beautiful is the area around the house- it is like a tropical forest! We stayed a week and each day we saw squirrel monkeys (up close!!!!), toucans and scarlet macaws among other wildlife sightings. The kids were in the pool by 7:00 each morning, what a treat! Each person associated with the villa (Gary, David, the housekeepers and the VRBO staff) were incredible! Super easy to work with and they were very committed to making our stay as perfect as possible. I hope we can go back.

Beautiful house

This is a great house for for a group up to 12. The bedrooms are scattered and on different levels, which makes for quiet and privacy. It has great gathering spots in the open kitchen/dining area, the pool room and the living room/covered porch. It has a nice and well maintained pool. Parking is tight, and the road in is a bit of a challenge, particularly if your first time is at night. Super Joseth is close by, less than five minutes and there is a new restaurant/bar at the top of the hill behind the house that has amazing 360 degree views of the ocean and jungle. Overall, the house was a great for for our group of 11 and Escape Villas provided good support.

We just returned from what is probably the best vacation of our lives. From the perspective of the property, it is probably best summed up by the ooh's and ahh's of our kids as they entered and explored for the first time. The house is enormous, well maintained and cleaned and tastefully decorated. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is huge. The maid comes each day and did a terrific job keeping it clean. David, our concierge was easy to reach and helpful. Many of the rooms have balcony's and the view of the rainforest is fantastic. It is somewhere around a mile outside of town down a local residential neighborhood, so while walkable for some, usually you'll want to arrange a car to go into town. This offers some tremendous privacy but has to be what you want. We scheduled all of our transportation and activities through David and each one was perfect for our family. We did have the power go out late one night due to a local outage, but that was corrected by the next morning. The house had emergency lights and it wasn't really a problem. We hired a chef several nights which for our group of 9, made it a truly great family bonding experience with some wonderful food and the cost was similar to a meal in town but with better food..
What a terrific vacation....wish I was back.

This was the perfect rental for 3 families. The kitchen, living areas, and outdoor spaces are spacious. David, our concierge was so helpful and responded right away to our requests throughout the week.

We visited Manuel Antonio as a family with 4 adults and 5 children between the ages of 8-15. The house was bigger than we thought and had more than enough space for the 9 of us. The pictures do not do it justice. The views are beautiful. Check in/out was easy. The pool was a great bonus for the kids after morning activities. Thank you!

Excellent property with plenty of space! Great location with plenty of animal sitings. We saw monkeys on the balcony a couple of times. Hiring the chef is super convenient. Definitely recommend booking excursions. Overall a great time!

Wonderful home set in the jungle at the end of the road. A bit of walk to get to the main road and the beach. We ended up taking taxis or booking shuttles with David (property concierge) who is wonderful!
I hope I spell our wonderful maids name correctly, Sayra, she did a fabulous job. Managing 4 bedrooms, all our laundry and always with a smile!
We were entertained by monkeys a few times. Some were very bold and tried to get inside! Swiped a banana off the table in the middle of the day, before my brother could get him/her out. . .then the Capuchin monkey stayed on the outside railing and actually yelled at him LOL They are adorable but sneaky.
Just a heads up for some people . . . the house has multiple stairs. Easy to navigate, nice and wide.
We enjoyed the service of Chef Marco, seven great dinners. Be prepared to eat a lot!
The only downside that I can think of is the ice make is broken, and we needed our ice for afternoon cocktails! But, we were able to get ice from the store at the end of the road. Plus, for us over packers not enough hangers in the closets. . . and no dressers in the bedrooms to store your items.
Make sure you try the restaurant by the grocery store. . . very tasty and super nice.
We all had a wonderful time and couldn't ask for a nicer place, great concierges and fabulous chef and house staff.

We had a great stay! This house is amazing, and we would definitely stay here again. The location at the end of the road gave the house a very remote feeling with views out over the jungle and into the valley, and we saw plenty of wildlife (sloths, macaws, toucans, monkeys) from the balconies and pool. The location is still easily accessible and accommodated our 4 adults and 3 children well.

Very private and secluded property at the dead end of the road. Peaceful and nature oriented. Great Host Gary was outstanding in receiving us. Explained everything in thorough. Would go back in a heartbeat.

The house is very comfortable (lots of stairs to climb and descend though) and has an amazing view of the valley. It was well cleaned when we arrived and the staff was very nice and helpful. The kitchen has everything you might need, even has a BBQ in the terrace. The pool is small but nice and relaxing, lots of shade after 12pm. We had many monkeys visiting the nearby trees. Beds were not great but ok (some might need new mattress). Overall it was a great house!

Great property for social distancing . Gary was very helpful . Can’t wait to go back .

The house was very big and beautiful located in the hillside of Manuel Antonio with beautiful views. The pool was well maintained and we could spot monkeys and different birds from the pool.
We hired the Chef which was amazing. He made excellent meals, and was very fun to talk to. Banana Flambé is a must! I would highly recommend the chef.
The house was very clean. Maid service was provided everyday. Our house contact was easy to reach for any questions or recommendations.

Our host, Gary, was incredibly helpful & accessible the entire trip. The house was beautiful & clean & the views were fantastic. Although you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, town is only 5 min away. Hoping to return one day!

The house is just as pictured. The views are breathtaking and there is plenty of space for a large group to have privacy when needed. The furniture and appliances are top notch. The location is good and central but a little difficult to find at night if you are using a driver who is unfamiliar with the property. The description states that there are ocean views but this is not the case. It is not too far from the ocean though...The furniture in the house is very nice however the outdoor poolside furniture needs to be updated. It's obvious that is is very old and low quality (plastic). One of my friends (who is not overweight) sat in one of the chairs and it broke.Air conditioning is only in the bedrooms and the unit will shut off if the door is open so you must keep the doors closed in order to enjoy the cool air.If you are using Chef Hairo for private dinner, please be aware that he tried to over charge me for the price of groceries until I asked him to see the receipts. His food was good though.Overall, I would stay here again...

We loved the house, the location and all the animals that you can watch from it. We would've loved to have AC in all the house, but despite this, we truly enjoyed our time there, and definitely will come back

We stayed at Casa Querencia with 9 friends. The home was fantastic, the pictures don’t do it justice. Every morning you wake up to a breath taking view. Gary the conceriage went above and beyond, he made our stay so easy. I would recommend this home to anyone interested in staying in the lovely Manuel Antonio!

House was fantastic and the view can’t be beat. Gary, who was our property manager made things so easy for us and the cleaning staff were so nice. Would highly recommend

This is a beautiful jungle family friendly home. There was 14 of us total with 8 children that loved and enjoyed every aspect of the home from the jungle to the pool to the game room and the kitchen. We seriously had a great time enjoying this house. I know that some may find not having A/C throughout the house we actually found it made our trip a little better. We enjoyed more of the outside surroundings and seemed to be more acclimated to the outside this way the A/C in the rooms was plenty. We opened the glass doors to the patio and enjoyed the pool and jungle we just simply had a great trip. Gary was a great help also he answered any questions and helped us set up all of our adventures. The house keeper Saray took care of the house for us by making sure are rooms were clean and dishes washed she made sure our clothes were washed and folded. I could go on but all in all if u want an awesome experience with a great house and concierge as well as environment I would reccomend this house and for sure this company

This house was SO great for my family. All the bedrooms and common areas are beautifully appointed with modern amenities. The photos don't do justice to how peaceful the setting is. Every day we were visited by monkeys by the pool, and every morning a family of toucans would land in the trees just outside the kitchen.
The house is only a couple minutes from the main area of Manuel Antonio, but far enough away and on the other side of hill that you feel like you are completely disconnected from the touristy area. We loved sitting by the private pool during the day, and looking out at the stars at night. When you open up all the sliding doors on the main level, you get great breezes coming off the mountains.
Gary was amazingly helpful with every question we had leading up to and during our stay. An the daily housekeeping was actually more than we even needed. Can't wait to visit again, just need to find enough people to fill this giant home!

Overall, it was a great house like I said but the only downside was there is no air conditioning in the common areas (kitchen, living room, etc.) But it had great views from anywhere in the house and the pool was so nice to just relax in. Especially at night and you could just star gaze for hours. We never made use of the game room but it was also a cool addition to our house.
