About this apartment rental
Our Access, Parking and Unique Setting---
A paved, town-maintained road leads you uphill from Rt. 16 to our chalet style style condo in popular Linderhof Resort and Glen Village. The town road and private driveway serving this condo community are well-maintained and quickly plowed in winter. One parking space is designated for our condo and located about 50' from the chalet along the Association driveway. Ample additional parking is also along the driveway. There are several shallow and wide stairs leading down from the driveway to our home and beautiful, unique setting with outstanding views.
Our Home---
Our home is a 1 1/2 story condo advantageously located on a commanding mountainside site on Thorn Mountain with broad, spectacular views over mountains to the south, west and north. It has new warm and cool air conditioning throughout. Our home was beautifully designed as a 1 1/2 story upper condo unit comprising one of the four, quiet units in this chalet building.
Interior Description-
The front door opens into a spacious, living room with cathedral ceiling and a wood burning fireplace. There are outstanding views through many oversize windows. Fireplace wood is available at a nearby convenience store. Wide, sliding door access from the living room opens onto a 150 SF open deck with rails, ample deck furniture, lighting and truly extraordinary views. The deck also overlooks an attractive, open, shared back yard lawn and common area for a variety of games and lounging. The kitchen is fully-equipped and updated with a granite island seating four and a separate dining area seating six to eight. The kitchen, living and dining areas have an open, vaulted cathedral ceiling and extensive windows that provide excellent, unobstructed views over the Mt. Washington Valley and Presidential Mountain Range. Ventilation is very good thanks to extensive sliding glass windows and fans throughout, and augmented with typical mountain breezes over this mountainside neighborhood. The first floor has a large bedroom with queen size bed, dressers, chairs and closet. A second bedroom has four newer bunk beds and a couch that can also be used as an additional bed. A newly updated full bathroom with tub and shower has a utility area, washer/dryer and household supplies. The second floor has a large master bedroom with a queen bed, dresser, side tables and office area with desk and chair. It also has its own private, full, updated bathroom with tub and shower. And, for an additional living space, there is also a small, comfortable reading or lounge area with beautiful mountain views in the second floor foyer nook overlooking the first floor and the large windows with mountain views.
Our home has been very well-maintained and updated with almost all newer furniture and furnishings. There are new, excellent, warm and cool air heat pumps that cover the entire home. Electric heat with thermostats in every room provide fine tuning of heat if desired. There is also a back up, supplemental warm air heating system. There are fans and many windows in all living areas with good air circulation supplemented by mountain breezes.
Our Neighborhood ---
The setting is quiet and serene in a small, well- designed and unique community perched on the side of Thorn Mountain. Our home is part of the Summit Vista Association with a total of only 28 attractive condominium units with with compatible and conforming style. It comprises a mix of year round and second home residents as well as short and longer term renters.
Area Recreation and Amenities---
Rt. 16, Storyland, Living Shores Aquarium and Glen Village shopping and dining are only 1.5 miles and two minutes away. The broad, expansive, elevated, 180 degree views from our home are truly spectacular to the south, west and north over the White Mountain Range and National Forest. The best hiking, mountaineering, swimming, bicycling, Nordic and alpine skiing, museums, restaurants, shopping and sightseeing are all easily accessible within a three to twenty minute drive. There are extensive and very popular recreation, other tourist and dining opportunities nearby and throughout the Mt. Washington Valley. Our home has centrally located access to them. There are more than 1,000 miles of hiking trails and seven alpine and Nordic skiing areas within a ten to thirty minute drive and six areas within just twenty minutes. Shopping options are abundant and a full size grocery store is five minutes away at Glen Junction. There are several lakes, rivers and waterfalls fairly nearby for swimming, wading, canoeing and relaxing. More indoor and outdoor recreation amenities are at the separate Linderhof Resort Clubhouse only two minutes away. Its fitness gym, pool and other recreational amenities may usually be available for a daily fee paid by renters directly to the Club. This arrangement can change from time to time. Public pool and fitness room are available for a fee at Christmas Farm Inn Spa in Jackson, seven minutes away. The Christmas Mountain Club in Linderhof Resort may reopen in 2025. Renters should make their own recreation center inquiries in advance. Several other fitness gyms and pools are available in Mt. Washington Valley. Couples, families with young or older kids, empty nesters, retirees and just friends will be pleased with what our Summit Vista home offers for a brief or longer getaway or vacation. We think all guests and visitors will be pleased.
Health Issues-
Covid and its variants previously had a dampening affect on everyone's activities. Although much less prominent lately, travelers and renters should also make their own inquiries to stay informed about any changes in its status. Our home is consistently and reliably cleaned by professional housekeepers at the highest standards. Anyone exhibiting COVID or related symptoms would of course be best advised to remain at home until well. We are not aware of any other current health threats.

While searching for a last minute February Winter Vacation option for our family and another's, we found Ran and Ann's condo in the North Conway area. It was spectacular from the moment we walked in!
We have been renting in Mount Washington valley for over 20 years and this is hand's down one of the nicest places that we have stayed in. The views are unapparelled and the layout of the condo is perfect. It is so roomy and accommodating, that we never felt on top of each other with 3 adults and 3 young kids under 11. The children loved the bunk bed room which provided the parents with 2 large bedrooms to themselves.
It is stocked with everything one could possibly need on vacation and we ended up cooking and having dinner at home every night. This was a huge plus as so many restaurants can be booked up there during the busy weeks.
The location is ideal as we could bang a right when leaving the neighborhood to head to Wildcat or a left to get to Attitash in minutes. Getting into North Conway could not be easier as well. It's also right next to Storyland and we plan to book another week in the Summer to get here again with the kids.
Owners, Ran and Ann, were super responsive during the entire booking process and were available on the spot as we had some questions when we arrived as well. I cannot speak highly enough regarding our overall experience here. Why would we ever stay in a hotel again? Thank you both!

When we arrived to check-in at 4:30pm on July 6 this condo was setting at a temp of 88* Fahrenheit, throughout the dwelling. Every curtain had been left open in a west-facing full wall of windows, so the welcome was stifling to say the least. Opening windows & using fans was ineffective. After unsuccessfully attempting to sleep, we met the morning with a whole-home temp of 84*F; which was just unacceptable. Therefore, we checked into ‘Summit Vista Chalet Condo’ on July 6th at 4:30pm & checked out July 7th at 4:00pm, which was a major inconvenience, as well as an additional cost in our having to rent a completely different N. Conway condo for our remaining 6-night stay in the area.
Relevant Info: Opening windows and utilizing window fans were of no help at all to quell the high heat & humidity of this wall-of-windows property. Owner’s food was occupying ¼ of refrigerator and freezer. We are accustomed to properties where there are no personal items…much less food in fridge & cabinets. Lots of steps down & then up to unit upon arrival. Deck furn is kept inside the condo (in DR) & is renter’s responsibility to get out of the living area & put on deck/then return. Trash – guests are instructed to take garbage to a transfer station miles away from the unit & owner provides dates & times this facility is open. Listing states condo has been updated but that term is highly subjective. Upon initial booking Owner asks for your social media accounts. BTMLNE: Needs A/C to be habitable.

Perfect location between Jackson XC cross-country skiing and Attitash Mountain. Uninterupted, peaceful scenic view of the mountains. Wood fireplace, private upper floor master bedroom. Amazing time. Nice family vacation.

The property is beautiful, and the hosts are great. The views from the living area and the deck are absurdly beautiful, as is the stargazing if you get a clear night. The furniture and decoration are all of excellent quality, very comfortable and completely useable. The location is great for whatever you’re planning on doing in the area, and literally five minutes to Story Land, if that’s on the agenda. The entire unit was spotlessly clean when we arrived, with everything we needed, including great fluffy towels and every kitchen item you could want. As for communication with the host, I’m pleased to say there was very little: before we arrived, they sent a very comprehensive list of instructions and information. That information, combined with the fact that the property is so well-equipped and maintained that we didn’t have any issues come up with during the trip, meant that the sum total of our communication with the host during the stay was a text to say that we had arrived and were all set, and a text at the end saying that we were all packed up and had left the unit. This is the second time we’ve stayed in this unit, and would absolutely stay here again if/when we’re in the area.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property! We found all of the living areas and bedrooms to be very spacious and comfortable, and we really appreciated the plentiful supply of paper products, dishes, soaps, etc. to make our visit easy without having to worry about running out of anything. The gorgeous location shown in the photos is accurate and even more beautiful in person. Thank you for an amazing stay! We will be back! :)

What a wonderful home! Well stocked with everything we needed, including fresh clean towels, shampoo in the showers, and enough blankets, pillows, and comfortable beds for our large group (there were 3 adults and 4 kids), this condo made our vacation in the mountains all the more comfortable and cozy. Our favorite part was morning coffee or evening cocktails on the deck overlooking the incredible view of the mountains. We hope to come back again next year!
