The property is set in a beautiful park
The downstairs smelt of damp and this had an affect on my asthma and Copd. Upstairs was fine though. The property is old and is very quirky which was fun.

It was so lovely and homely, situated in a wooded parkland with a lovely cafe close by. We will definitely be returning. Also a wonderful record collection ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Location, easy to reach, little details, lots of books to read, well equipped, very clean.
It’s not a big issue, however it would have been nice there is a parking space close to the property.

We did not have breakfast. A very pleasant cottage in a lovely location. The rear walled garden was especially nice and we spent a lot of time there. The accommodation was well equipped and clean, a very pleasant stay indeed.
nothing really serious, except I had some difficulty with the central heating electronic thermostat, but soon got the hang of it.

Beautiful location.
There were some maintenance & housekeeping issues that we reported to the host. Hopefully they are fixed.
Mon-Fri there is building work ongoing next door that can get a bit noisy if u have the windows open.

Great location. Was rather quirky. Very comfy bed. Loved the record player and varied selection of records
We liked the courtyard garden and although we didn’t spend a lot of time in it. It would have been perfect had it been maintained.
Whilst we were not that bothered about the television we did not always get a good reception but that maybe down to the trees.
Not a great lover of shower curtains but can understand that not all showers can accommodate a glass door but I think the shower curtain had seen better days.
This was the only place I have stayed in that did not have an information pack….

Beautiful location! I had lovely walks in the park and woodland areas surrounding the property. I was closer to the city centre and beach than I had previously realised. The evenings were nice and quiet which was perfect for my spells of writing.
There were works going on in a building that backed on to the property's garden; this was initially quite the distraction from my writing but I just factored it in to my daily schedule and went for more walks in the day time.

Was just as I expected. Very quiet. Very lovely. A haven in middle of forest
I didn't get the email confirmation so didn't know where the property was. I t hought it was on one side of road when in fact it was in the park opposite. The shower stopped working the second evening and didn't work again.

This was a self-catering house within a park. Beautiful and comfortable accommodation, in very good condition. The beds were good quality and very comfortable. It has table and chairs in the garden to sit outside. Plenty of books, LPs to play. Games. The quality of the kitchen wear was very good. We didn’t expect any tea/coffee etc to be there so we bought on the way. However, there was plenty of essentials and more. I am learning the piano so I was delighted to find a piano there to practise on.
The TV didn’t work very well. Good reception to BBC channels but as we ventured to other channels there was a very bad interruption on the screen so we just stuck to BBC. At the back of the TV it looks like the aerial is coming loose.
The staircase was a little difficult for me, (I’m getting on in age) - bit steep and I eventually coped by taking my time and holding on tight to the bannister. By the end of our short stay I was getting used to the stairs.

That it felt like a lived in property with I’ve arty features: piano, writing room, good books, vinyl etc
Some decent wooden of stirring spoons , a fourth chair in sitting room would’ve been good. Fridge needs repairing re broken missing bit which makes it hard storing milk, juice etc..

Record player. Jazz records. Garden. Park. Lake. Tastefully filled with books you want to read. Good art. A piano. A good shower. Comfy beds great linen. A cafetiere. A log burner...
Better instructions on finding it in the dark? TV could be larger. But everything else.... perfect. Wish they'd communicated to us the right key number so we didnt get drenched in the dark thinking the key lock didnt work ... fridge could have been larger. No place to store bottles of opened drinks. But minor complaints it was joyful and great books...

Lovely quiet location.very well fitted out.
Distance from town.

Access to the keys. At first I was trying the wrong key safe, and although I did look at no.1 the key safe was not obvious. When I phoned for help it arrived within 10 minutes. As asked we replaced the key in the safe before leaving which took an hour! Mainly because of the poor lighting.

An elegant house with period furnishings. We enjoyed the record player and piano. About 20 minutes' walk from the seafront.
Nothing much wrong with the place, just not somewhere we completely fell in love with. But worth at least 9 out of 10 and recommended.

The location was fantastic set in the park and a short walk from the beach and Hastings town. The accommodation was clean, had a definite style and really comfortable. We enjoyed the piano, sitting in the evening listening to music and breakfast in the garden. So relaxing.
It is very dark walking back to the cottage, required a torch to see the way!

It was quiet, the amenities were great and a fantastic location in the park.
No toilet upstairs where the bedrooms are but otherwise great

The park the house is located is beautiful
Very fusty and dark, had to wash all cooking equipment, plates and crockery extremely neglected , garden overgrown blocking light
Beds and seating uncomfortable
Very long slope from where you park your car on the road into the park where the house is not for people with walking difficulties.
4.3
Setting of the property was within park grounds. Park was a great place to walk and was well kept and maintained. There is a lovely courtyard with this property with a large table and chairs. Beautiful character property.
The property only has one bathroom and this was downstairs. The stairs are fairly steep to the first floor. This wasn’t a problem for us but may be for some clients. We struggled to work the tv as it was set to Google chrome and a remote control was missing. For us this wasn’t a problem as we were out during our stay or in the courtyard. A few more cups or mugs would be great too. But otherwise kitchen was very well equipped.

Well-equipped, clean cottage. Fantastic location.

Good location in the park. Very comfortable well equipped cottage.
Slightly noisy at times due to dog walkers early in the morning .

The writer’s study was perfect for working. There is an excellent record and book collection and a working fire place. The location is also fantastic. I wish I had more time to use the bikes provided
The key safe for the house isn’t obvious. Some more specific instructions would be helpful.

Really lovely little cottage.
4.3
Fantastic location in a stunning park, luckily the weather was good so we were out & about most of the time.
The cottage smelt very fusty, perhaps it had been left through lockdown. From previous reviews I expected it to be spotlessly clean but it was rather dusty.
The rear garden was badly neglected & overgrown with brambles.
Very dim lighting in the kitchen which constantly flickered.
