Although the breakfast was not a cooked full English, there was ample choice. The owner also baked some pastries. Huge variiety of teas and coffees. Variety of milk in the fridge. It was a help yourself system which we like. There is also a fridge for guests to use. The owners live on site and are very helfpful and friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable, it was actually a 6ft and we had a great night's sleep. Room was really clean and the shower was really good. Location was very good.
We arrived very late and it was dark. Struggled with the numbers on the key box to the room. We managed by using the torch and magnifier on our phone. The key boxes are quite low. There was a choice of two pillows. One was too soft and flat, and the other was too high and hard, but this personal preference., and may be perfect for others. There are steps up to the front door. This could be a problem for someone with disabilities.

Lovely room, great size and great facilities

Location was ok for an overnight stay, but is a bit out of the way for a longer stay. Room was pleasant
Booking the jacuzzi would be a bit hit and miss. first come first served, not that it bothered us as the weather was awful, but we would have been unable to use it had we wanted to as one group had booked it for the whole evening/ Breakfast very uninspiring, just cereal and bread products. Also dining room is too small for the amount of guests, felt very claustrophobic
4.3
Lovely and clean, variety of food for breakfast.
Lamp shade in bedroom (frost), did not really go with the room theme.
4.3

It was lovely. Very much like a home from home. Comfortable, cosy, homely. It's not too far from the shops in Ore Village (about a 10 minute walk) and a short drive or bus ride into Hastings Town centre, Fairlight and Rye. Northrise will definitely be one we'll consider again.

We loved our stay, the rooms were so clean and had everything we needed, the facilities in the house were great we really enjoyed using the hot tub. Breakfast was self serve and had a good variety to choose from. Lastly Darren & Stella we’re so welcoming and friendly and were on hand to help out with everything we needed! We will definitely stay again!
There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.

The atmosphere, hospitality and the location
Everything was perfectly nice, friendly and OK. Only small recommendation we would like to share: the rooms were not prepared the very warm weather, E.g. No airco or ventilator.
4.3
The room was lovely. Very clean. The bed and pillows were super comfy. The en-suite bathroom was small, but adequate. The breakfast was very nice.
We didn't like the frosted glass door on the bathroom. Otherwise, all good.

I had a wonderful one night stay at Northrise!
I stayed in the small single room but the bed was so very comfy. The shared bathroom I used was extremely clean.
I slept like a baby.
The Breakfast Room was a real treat, lots to choose from, nice to meet Darren too who was very friendly.
Would recommend to everyone to stay here when visiting Hastings.

A warm welcome from Darren. Parking is convenient and adjacent. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. The budget room was exactly that but priced accordingly. The location is good.

Very good

Breakfast was good with an excellent choice.
thought it slightly overpriced. Website did not seem to provide restaurants nearby but that might have been us not using it properly.
4.3
Room was comfortable and clean
Cold breakfast only .
For £150 per night would of expected a full English breakfast

The situation is fantastic, far-reaching views over the sea, Hastings and as far as Eastbourne. The room was very spacious and comfortable, very nice bathroom and shower. Sleeping was comfortable and although the road is fairly busy in the morning, the double glazing kept out most of the traffic noise. Breakfast was a help-yourself buffet, quite well-thought out, good coffee and Darren was a friendly host. The key box check-in was convenient and worked well. We didn't take advantage of the offer of hot tub or sauna but they were appreciated by other guests. Generally a very friendly and welcoming vibe.
Being asked to remove our shoes at the entrance was a bit of a pain. One or two small niggles in the room, like the curtain rail having such a sharp bend that the curtain wouldn't easily draw back (to see the fantastic sea view and watch the sunset...), and some slightly plasticky bedlinen. But overall a very nice stay.
4.3
European type breakfast - all provided what we need
innovative way of managing the keys
well organized place
well maintained and designed
4.3
The budget room was small but clean and comfortable; two key prerequisites. Parking was adjacent and convenient. The breakfast was excellent.
It is a little disconcerting not to see the hosts and to be asked not to wear shoes whilst in the property. Balance against this, good value for the stay.
4.3
Superbly comfortable large bedroom, exceptionally clean in all areas, and a unique booking in and out process. Friendly hosts always available.
4.3
Clean rooms, recently renovated, super friendly host with easy “no-contact” check in.
Would def stay again.

On meeting Darren, he was instantly likeable.
Conciderate in an unexpectedly natural manner.
No negativity 1class.
I'll be back.

Lovely house with a private jacuzzi! Up to standard, we had a very comfortable stay. We were a group of girls and had a fantastic time. Managed to find parking easily.
Nothing.
