The hotel is period and was a pleasure to stay in. It was well appointed and very clean. You felt like you were walking into amovie set on arrival and the foyer was even better. It was convenient to the train network and a short walk to ANZAC Square and many of Brisbane's inner city attractions.

Excellent location opposite train station, short walk to Queen Street. Plenty of parking alternatives if you don't want the $60 per day insult. Beautiful, elegant old building that would hold so many stories.
Rooms needed a freshen up, minor repairs to cupboards, blown light bulbs etc, little things make a huge difference. The place felt clean, but you could tell they quickly went over it (I have a #2 haircut and there was long black hair in the bathroom)

The staff were very nice which made us feel welcome and comfortable. Good wifi, hot showers, comfortable beds and pillows, not to noisy, across the road from central station.
Some things needed to be properly cleaned, musty smell, tv needed tuning in, fridge leaking across the kitchen floor.

beautiful art deco building
apartment was dated, carpet stained and bare in places. mould in bathroom. dated TV. rollaway not acceptable, needed extra mattress to make it half decent to sleep on, only 1 key which was frustrating when we were all doing different things!!

Walk to everywhere. Fantastic position can even have dinner delivered. Art Deco building with lovely features.
To open windows meant competing street noise. The Trade off?
Pelmets were very dusty. Maybe from guests opening windows?

Good location to central station and walking anywhere in town.
if you want people to keep the place clean then you need to supply dishwashing liquid to wash their dishes and cooking gear after meals. Also several bin liners as we stayed 5 nights, to put out the rubbish.

location
Air con was very noisy, not advised that reception was closed from 5pm Fri and all weekend, no instruction on check out procedures, phone calls went to answering service with no reply, couldn’t leave bags at hotel after checkout so had to pay for luggage storage until flight home, extra single bed was extremely uncomfortable- very thin mattress, couldn’t plug hotel phone in to call out

Location was great. Manager was amazing.
Bed and pillows were so comfortable.

The location was very central, just up the road from Central Station, where the Airport train comes in.
The bed was very comfortable, and the apartment was at the rear, so was very quiet.
Lovely art deco foyer and lifts.
Had issues with the air-con, and couldn't turn off the entrance light.

It was quiet
A little to far from central of town. I wouldn't want to walk at night on my own or with another lady.

Great location to city
The place was filthy obviously they have little to no standards. Showers full of mould. Bedroom door was coming off hinges. Oven was filthy and stunk. Cutlery drawer filthy. Fridge freezer was frosted up. Veggie scraps in bottom drawer of fridge. Cupboard knobs were falling off.
Toilet seat was yellowing, brown and looked disgusting.
Try teaching your cleaner the difference between clean and dirty. Who ever sets the standards is a disgrace.

the location was outstanding and it was clean with good facilities
one of the rooms was missing a blind on the window

Loved the art-deco vibe, location and friendly, accommodating staff.
The stretcher bed for our adult daughter (5th guest) was rather uncomfortable but putting the mattress on the floor solved the problem.

close to CBD
there was holes and mold on the carpet. No room service on the weekend and you have to pay extra for clean towel on public holiday.

The apartments are very comfortable - I would recommend the upgraded / renovated options (which cost a little more) over the older stock, which looks tired and outdated. The location is really convenient to Central station and the city generally.
Whilst I enjoyed my stay and the apartments are good, I wouldn’t stay again. This is primarily due to the very below standard wifi, which is apparently throughout the property. It makes any kind of streaming, zoom or even watching a YouTube clip impossible. In today’s context (and based on the room rates) working internet is expected, not a luxury. The minimal staffing arrangements and office hours of reception make service standards also below par and any assistance or access to any amenities after hours impossible. Again, considering the room rates, it seems management is profiteering from minimal provision of facilities on the basis of an apartment versus hotel style. These standards need to improve for the value to be worthwhile for a return stay.

good location and friendly staff
we paid about $800 for 3 nights, there were holes in the wall, drawings on the wall - the roof was mouldy around the vents and bathrooms had peeling paint. the vents contained a lot of dust - my partner and friend who stayed both had severe asthma from the amount of dust being ventilated. the showers leaked and the supplied washing machine just made our clothes hot and smelly - all in all would not stay again

Lots of room, very quiet and comfortable beds

I didn't like how both showers had soo much black mould, they need a really good bleaching and if that doesn't work get maintenance to reseal it. Carpet was also lifting in a section of a bedroom. All x4 dining chairs were terribly torn with the foam sticking out. Pictures on site are deceiving as rooms shown have been refurbished and this was certainly not.
On the upside, great location and walking distance to train station and Queen St mall.

lovely old building, room was generous sizw, close walk to queen st
Hallway had a odd smell, bathroom needed some work, reception left me standing there while on phone

1. I could not get a key until I did the online registration which DEMANDED my Driver Licence or Passport to be UPLOADED! This is ridiculous and compromises my personal data security. She would not accept viewing it as ALL hotels I have visited are happy to do.
2. The light in the foyer (Room 307) has no switch to turn it off. To turn off I had to remove the toggle key that turned off ALL lights and the Air con.. totally unsatisfactory...

- The sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable but ok for just a few nights.
