We had already stayed in Eden Bungalows, Fisherman's Village which we loved. We then visited Koh Tao, and stopped at Secret Gardens as it was close to the Big Buddha and the airport. The road by the hotel is full of bars and restaurants, but the area is much for locals than tourists. It also rained most of the time, which meant that we didn't enjoy the hotel restaurant, bar and beach. It is a 20 minute easy walk to the big buddha and then another short walk to the goddess with the 8 arms. We then took a taxi to the Lost Beach Bar which was lovely. The M & M bar across the road from the hotel was great fun. We also ate breakfast in Kob on the Pier, and had cheap meals in the hostel across from the hotel.
Our bungalow was a "concrete box". There were no bathrobes as mentioned on Booking.com
No band plays in the hotel on a Monday or Tuesday night so it was very quiet in the bar area.
The road was not too noisy once inside the room (and our bungalow was right by the road)

Right on the beach.
Lots of pubs, eating options nearby

They served really nice breakfast.
The bungalow was a bit old. The aircon was only in the bedroom. The living room, bathroom and patio were boiling hot as there was some kind of huge generator located behind the bungalow.

It’s very nice small resort with a nice charm.
Nice access to the beach, good restaurant, great drinks. Friendly staff.
The place needs some work and refreshing.
I think with a little investment it will be huge improvement.
A specially sun bed mattress and umbrellas around pool and on the beach.

Beachfront property.
The atmosphere was nice with live music on Wednesdays and Saturday.
We stayed in Cozy bungalow giving you rustic vibes.
The food was good but breakfast portions could be better.
Not much facilities besides the room and the swimming pool.
Had to pay at the restaurant every time separately even though we had checked in at the hotel.
Good experience but not value for money. Could get lots of better alternative for that price.

we only stayed one night in the hotel but it was a great place to relax ! the room was great and the staff super helpful, the restaurant area is also super nice and we were there on a live music evening which was pretty good.
The beach around is not very appealing as it is quite dirty and the pier is around.

The friendliest staff ever, both at the reception and the restaurant. Fast wifi. Chill pool. Complementary water. Lovely resort. I'm giving it a 3 because of you the people. I didn't book a concert. I booked a place to rest. :)
Unfortunately I did not know I was booking a house in the "backstage of a band". I needed a place to rest and due to the Sunday live band gig, the experience was worse than at a youth hostel. The noisiest stay anywhere, ever. The street noise was no problem, but the music went on for hours. If I'd have paid 3x less and known in advance, it may have been ok. Got a headache out of it. A pity, as the resort is really cute.

Cute little garden and we'll styled villas around a pool right by the beach. very comfy bed and great breakfast places within 5 minutes walk.
If you like it to be quiet in the evening, this might not be your place. As much as we like live music, not being able to escape from it since the roof of the villa is made of palm leaves, and also being so close to the airport with flights going from 7am until 11 pm was not the calmest experience.

Great stay for a short layover in Koh Samui. The resort is super nice, the rooms are well equipped (great bed, bathroom and super comfortable!) and the staff is very friendly. It’s a short drive to the airport, so perfect for a short stay when you’re traveling from Koh Phangan via Koh Samui.
No notes :-)

the property was fantastic! very spacious and great beach front and bar
the breakfast started at 8.30 which is not great if you have day trips booked as normally those pick up earlier.

Lovely property and location. staff were very accommodating of my partner’s severe allergies to fish & nuts.
Bathroom had a very damp smell and pillows very uncomfortable.

I’m travelling solo and it’s the first place I stayed, they organised a taxi for me from the airport, as I was only staying one night I had to checkout the following day at 12 but they looked after my bags all day so I could explore the temples that were 20min walking distance

Location is central ie. walking distance to 7-11, O-Mart wine shop, lots of restaurants and other beach bars eg. CHI, Fishermen’s village (5mins by car). Love the minimalist room interior, and the practical in-room amenities eg. storage rack, his & hers built-in wardrobe, firm king-size bed and cozy lighting. The restaurant and beach bar is superb! Simple yet delicious menu and super attentive and friendly staff. Big shout out to Sue and her crew and the cute resident dog; Blackie. Thank you for your warm hospitality and making us feel at home.
Pool was underwhelming due its round shape and size (more like baby wading pool). The rooms are situated close to the main strip which means traffic noise may disrupt sleep for light sleepers.

The location was perfect for what I had planned to do. The restaurant/bar served very good food and offered specials on certain nights. There was also a few nights of live music performances from local musicians.
This is hard to answer because everyone has a different perspective on what is perfect for them. All in all there wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

Such a lovely oasis of a resort! Beautiful tropical getaway tucked quietly away from the main road. Very friendly helpful staff at reception who gave us lots of great advice. Really accommodating when we arrived.
Garden view room next to the pool was stunning. lovely location next to the beach and great restaurant. Only regret was that we only had one night there - my children were ready to move in!

the staff for the hotel was helpful. They bought me a hair dryer when I asked to borrow one.
the beachfront is nice and chill
the room is next to the road. I could hear all the cars passing by.

This place is a small gem compared to many. Bungalows are in good quality and the restaurant offer more and better food than most. Some night they have live music and the place was quite busy despite very low season due to COVID.
The only negative is the beach, it is ok but not top relative others in the island, however the place offered free sunbeds and was the only place around that had sunbeds on the beach.

Secret Garden is such a cozy small resort with a killer location. Right down to the beach and located on our favorite street in Bangrak. Wi-fi worked perfectly for our online work.
