the rooms were big and spacious, nice outside area
the geyser in the one bathroom didn’t work
the hot tub was very dirty when we got there and had to ask for it to be cleaned
the hot tub itself didn’t work properly. we paid for extra wood to heat it up but we kept it running the whole evening and it hardly became hot
the river is also not that close to the house and pretty difficult to get into
there’s a house next to the river to relax in but it is very dirty and would not recommend sitting there.
the house itself is fine but very overpriced

If you are tired and need a getaway this is perfect. It is private and we were spoiled with everything we needed. Bird watching is the cherry on the cake. Thank you
Jacuzzi did not look very inviting. But we stayed in it for a view hours

The house was well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very relaxing being in the vineyard by the river.
Nothing not to like.

WE loved the view and the deck
Our jacuzzi used firewood, the friday eve we could not get into it as the water was way to hot to sit in...
The saturday we just start it up earlier so we could get into there

Beautiful touches like king protea as a centre piece on table, nice colours, pillows, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, beautiful porch, peaceful
Difficult access to river, canoe broken seat, damaged trousers on it. P

Pet friendly with close hiking trails into the mountain.
Indoor and outdoor fireplaces. The kitchen fully stocked with all the equipment you could need.
Wifi good. Views exceptional.
Right on the water's edge. Good fishing, loved that there was a Kayak to paddle about on the river.
The deck is the best feature overlooking the river and mountain.
Pics on website are a bit outdated and probably need to be updated.
Some of the furniture could also do with a bit of a refresh/repair.
Jetty was completely submerged so couldn't make use of it to enter the water or fish from. The dinghy was full of rain water - too heavy to move so couldn't use it. The dstv didn't work (not that I was there for tv!)
The jacuzzi was a bit grubby and only 2 jets worked :(

This is an awesome location close to Cape Town. The cottages are far apart so you have peace and quiet with no disturbances. Bedroom and lounge very comfortable. Contactless entry and exit worked very well. This is the second time we have visited and we will certainly be back again.
The hot tub was boiling. Letting some water out and topping up with the hose (as directed) worked very well to cool it down, but we wondered if there was a temperature control somewhere so that it stayed at the cooler temp. A minor thing, as we loved it anyway.

We loved our stay, specially attention to detail.
