We found that everything good said about the owner/host, Matteo, is correct. He's friendly, welcoming, and makes himself available for any questions or help. Parking in Ostuni is a challenge, but Matteo literally parked and retrieved our rental car for us multiple times, even telling us to call him 10 min. before returning to the B&B so he could be there to park it for us!
Our room was large and had its own access to the street. The only downside with it was some traffic noise, but that eventually stopped. The linens on the bed were changed daily and there was a welcome heated rack in the bathroom for drying towels. The breakfast buffet had many tasty options.
We wouldn't hesitate to book Palazzo Stunis - Dimora di Charme again.

The attention to detail was outstanding. Our room had its own private entrance onto the street. The breakfast selection and presentation was superb. Matteo parked our car for us.

Matteo was the best host, gave us such good recommendations of things to do in and around Ostuni (restaurants, beaches, sites etc…)
The palazzo which has been in his family for years has been beautifully renovated with authenticity and charm.
The palazzo is a 3 minute walk from the city center and boasts a rooftop with a great view.
The breakfast spread was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it.
There is a parking 3 minutes away from the hotel.
No complaints!

Fantastic location just 500 meters from the old city center, fabulous host (Mateo was so helpful), nice updated rooms that retained the charm of the property, and lots of options for breakfast. Great stay!

Palazzo Stunis is an amazing house where beauty can be found in the smallest details. We had a spacious room with a lot of charm and a comfy bed. The breakfast was an experience of its own with a large variety of local delicacies.

The property is a beautiful & tastefully restored villa with attention to every detail. Fabulous antique furniture and memorabilia. We loved our wonderful bedroom with a gorgeous bed & lovely bed linens. The painted ceilings throughout were amazing. The best B&B we have experienced 🥰

Fantastic host (friendly and helpful), delicious breakfast, characterful property, good location only a short walk to the old town
Quite expensive although we hadn't realised there was a big event in the town the day we left which may have contributed to this

Cannot praise this place more! Matteo, the host, is absolutely wonderful, goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and makes great cappuccino! The hotel itself is a very beautiful palazzo and everything in it is thought through to the tiniest details. The hotel also offers a private parking which saved us a lot of headache! Palazzo Stunis would elevate your stay in Ostuni, no doubt in that, making you want to never leave it!

My wife and I have just left Palazzo Stunis and were blown away by the experience. The host Matteo has left no stone unturned in not only the renovation of his family home (paying tribute to and respecting the gorgeous build) but also the service and hospitality. From the fresh sheets on the bed daily through to the delicious breakfast and the attention to detail throughout, this is the place you NEED to stay at when you come to Ostuni. The location is amazing being so close to town and the private parking makes things super easy if you have a car. On top of it all, Matteo is such a friendly and warm person that you really like a family member in his home, not a guest.
Cannot fault this place!

This was a beautiful place to stay with a great location in Ostuni. We could walk everywhere in town. Matteo was a perfect host. He communicated well, welcomed us warmly, and gave us excellent recommendations for great local food and drink. Breakfast was excellent and we appreciated the filtered water, coffee, and snacks available all day. Our room was very clean and spacious with a big closet for suitcases.
Everything was great, no complaints

We liked and were totally impressed by the service and the quality of this property. The cleanliness, pre-arrival communication, assistance with restaurant recommendations and reservations, the comfort and extra large room, there is nothing that was not presented at the highest level. This property and management are a gem.

Beautiful guesthouse, elegant and comfortable. Breakfast is abundant with a huge variety. Lots of guid books to help exploring the region. Own parking lot (2 minutes walk) in a location close to the old town is a plus. In addition to all these, our host, Matteo, has made our stay even more special. I found out on the last day that he has years of experience looking after guests in top-class hotels before returning to Ostuni to run his own B&B. That explains his attentiveness. Wish him all the best with his business venture. If we return to Ostuni, we'd look no further for hotel choices.

Palazzo Stunis is well located to visit Ostuni. It is also well placed to do day trips by car to major sites in the area, such as Alberobello, Monopoli, Locorotondo. Having a gated parking about 200m from Palazzo Stunis is comforting compared to leaving a rental car in the narrow streets.
Minor matter, maybe important for some visitors : the TV was not great, programs difficult to find.

Matteo, the owner, was charming and very helpful with recommendations. He’s a perfect host. We were able to check in early which was a great boon. The history of the building was very interesting and the owner has done a wonderful job of finding appropriate furniture, paintings and ceramics with which to fill the rooms. The roof terrace was a welcome space. Breakfast was absolutely excellent.
The stairs up to the reception area from the front door were extremely steep and our bed was very squeaky. Although the room was very beautiful, there were no bedside reading lights and the bathroom, which was very expensively appointed, was actually quite cramped with no sensible spot for the loo roll! It feels a bit churlish to make these points given how welcoming Matteo was, but the splendour of the palace wasn’t completely matched by the practicalities of the room.

Owner Matteo incredibly accommodating. Beautiful home. outstanding breakfast could not ask for more. quiet area but close to town. Also roof top patio up stairs

The house is beautiful, spacious and very comfortable! The host is sharing his family home built in the mid-18th century. It’s been lovingly restored. From the beautiful Italian bed linens to the hearty breakfast, you won’t be disappointed! I wish we could have stayed longer!
I loved everything about this property!

Breakfast was a delicious, wide array of sweets, fruits, Italian specialties such as focaccia, mozzarella, prosciutto, hard boiled eggs, toast, cereals, teas, cappuccino, etc. It is managed by the owner Matteo, who lives on the premises and has a degree in hospitality who lovingly restored his familial palazzo. Matteo is a wonderful man who is very concerned about making his guests comfortable and happy. He helped with restaurant reservations before and during our stay. We now consider him a friend. Located in a family neighborhood, on a quiet street. 5-10 minute walk to main square.
Nothing. It was a perfect stay in every way. The room
was perfectly restored keeping all the unique features, original tile floors, painted ceiling decorations, with a beautiful new bathroom with an amazing shower.

Everything was perfect. The house is truly beautiful, with so much care put into the restoration. Every detail is superb. Matteo was so attentive and kind, and the breakfast is spectacular. I am so glad we chose to stay in this part of the city and not within the old city walls, it was much quieter while still a short walk away from everything. Would recommend this to all friends and family. Thank you!! Also the mattress is super comfortable.
Everything is perfect.

Firstly Matteo is a fantastic host, from the first interaction he cannot do enough to ensure your stay is as free flowing and as easy as possible.
The property itself is magnificent, spectacular rooms with a lovely decor. Our room was beautiful, it was large with a wardrobe and window along with great aircon which was useful at night. The bathroom is a good size and has an excellent shower (bed is also very comfortable)
The breakfast was delicious, plenty of savoury and sweet options and the coffee was very good also and Matteo always ensures you're well catered for.
The property is a 10 minute leisurely walk into the town itself and is very safe so no worries there.
Thank you for an excellent stay, i would fully reccomend this place to anyone who is looking to visit Ostuni!

This is a great property, close to the hubbub of the old town but far enough away from the tourist throngs. The interior is lovingly kept and a retro-design treat, full of charming details and thoughtful touches. Matteo was an excellent and accommodating host, and puts on the most extensive breakfast we’ve had, if anything over-providing for gluten-free needs.

Matteo was an incredible host and accommodated my every need from arranging local taxi transfers between cities, recommending and making dinner reservations and coordinating activities. His hospitality made the trip very special - especially because I was traveling alone. The B&B is a short 8-10 minute walk into the historical city center which is a nice distance given how busy and alive the city becomes at night. The property is beautifully designed and their attention to detail is greatly appreciated. The breakfast is assorted and plentiful. Palazzo Stunis is a nice quiet respite from the bustle and highly recommend it, especially for a solo traveler.
The towels were a little hard but worth it : )
