With 3 generations and 33 family members, finding a spot that was a solid fit for us was a tall order--and this location delivered. The owner was highly responsive and had exceptional attention to any issues we ran into, ensuring our stay was a great one. Thank you, Terra!

We loved our stay at Pine Lodge! The house is huge, with plenty of beds, bathrooms, activities, a well-equipped kitchen, tons of beach and bath towels, and an amazing host. We were a group of 14, including one family member with mobility issues. Terra, the owner, was fabulous. Before we booked, she wanted to make sure that the house would meet our needs. My uncle uses a rollator (a walker with wheels) and moves around with some difficulty. Terra walked me through the bedroom/bathroom options that were available to him (one small bedroom off the kitchen, close to a bathroom with walk-in shower, or a larger bedroom off the first floor game room, also with a walk-in shower). She had two ramps that she put in place for our visit: one was installed at the front entrance and the other led into the sunken living room. She wanted to make sure that he was safe and comfortable, so she bought additional ramps and installed safety bars in both first floor bathrooms prior to our arrival. She really went above and beyond.
The house itself was very comfortable, with lots of activities for guests of all ages. The wifi wasn't great once you moved away from the router, but I always had cell service (Verizon) and could even stream tv/movies using my data plan.
The location itself was wonderful. A quick ride to Camden or Belfast. And Terra provided tons of great recommendations, including a caterer for a lobster bake, where to get info on fishing, and where to swim/boat. We had a great time!

This lovely, large home in the midcoast Maine community of Northport was the site of our family reunion, involving 17 adults and 12 children for a week. The owner was wonderful and responsive and the property is beautiful, inside and out. It is on a wooded hillside with wonderful ocean views and great pool and games and other amenities that satisfied all in our diverse group. It is close to beaches and great experiences in coastal communities of Belfast, Camden, Rockport, and Boothbay. I highly recommend!

We had a blast for two weeks at Pine Lodge! The house is huge and comfortable with plenty of seating and space. The yard was a playground for kids and adults. We loved access to a pool on the hot days. We had two lobster bakes and visited Belfast and Camden many times. Each day we planned an adventure, between hikes, kayaking, visiting alpaca, or farms. We had family from age 15 to 88 and everyone had an excellent time.

You will not regret staying at this property!! Terra was such a wonderful hostess and her property is amazing!! The views were wonderful, there is so much room for everyone and so much to do inside and outside of the house. If the weather is bad, you dont have to worry, there is plenty to do right there! Terra has thought of EVERYTHING to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We hated to leave and would definately be back.

My family came together in Northport for a family vacation. 18 ppl from CA and 7 from Lewiston. The home had a great kitchen to cook for this large group. Plenty of fridge space. Grocery stores are not far in either direction, dont stress if you forget something. The rooms dining area, living room and game room had plenty of space for people to move around without bumping into anyone. Plenty of bathrooms to go around. The pool and hot tub provided great family time, a fire pit allowed for s'mores and gas grills really cooked up food quickly. Nice outdoor seating for a lobster bake. Large grassy lawn to run around, swings, volleyball area. Northport is ideally located between Camden and Belfast. We had groups travel to Acadia, to Fort Know, take schooner ride, rent kayaks, visit LL Bean, Portland. Terra (owner) was great with providing info in all areas of things to do including giving a great deal to rent kayaks. Terra also responded quickly whenever I had a question/concern. It rained a couple days, and the layout of the home allowed for great times playing board games, card games, etc. We did bring our own cards...There is a pool table, ping pong table and foosball table as well. lots of laughs, a fabulous place to gather with family.

Loved the outside play areas for kids and pool. The room layout was challenging due to the loft safety.
The kitchen was large but completely empty of all basic staples, including garbage bags and extra paper towels.
The host was responsive to our requests.
Overall the house is amazing, just lacking in the kitchen set up.

This property is everything as pictured. There were 25 family members with 6 of those children. The outdoor activities entertained all ages, campfires at night, s'mores, swimming, hiking trails, ample parking. The property is spacious enough to allow everyone to "do their own thing ". Kitchen facilities more than adequate for cooking and eating, multiple refrigerators. Thumbs up ✅ from all !

This place made for an absolutely perfect fall wedding. The ability to house everyone in the wedding party, as well as parents/siblings made the weekend easy. Terra contacted us about everything we would need ahead of time.

We had five families with 21 adults. The property was able and sleep all of us comfortably. The kitchen was adequate for cooking for a large group. Terra was awesome. Anything we needed she took care of immediately. I would recommend renting this property.

We loved staying at Pine Lodge and in North Port! At the house there were things for everyone from 4 generations to do. Great little reading sports, a beautiful lawn, lawn games, the pool and hot tub, the evening fire pit, and the game room. Our excursions included kayaking (we saw a seal!), day trips to Camden, Belfast, and Acadia/Bar Harbor. The only part that was tough was the 530pm checking and the 830 checkout. Otherwise, we loved this house and would love to stay again!

Phenomenal property with attentive owner. All eight grandchildren, from 10 Months Old to 10 Years Old, thoroughly enjoyed the stay, living in the pool by day and gazing at the stars from the deck at night. The view across Penobscot Bay to Islesboro is spectacular. First time we tried grilling on the deck, one of the grills didn't work. I called Terra who immediately came over and quickly replaced it with a brand new grill.

We had an absolutely lovely stay. The property has a lot of charm and character, and the amenities were perfect for our large family reunion. We spent time in the pool, playing badminton and volleyball, having fires in the outdoor fire pit, and soaking in the hot tub. The younger members of the party enjoyed the slide, right outside the children's bedroom, and the swing. The outdoor shower was a lovely bonus.
Tara the host was so attentive; she opened and cleaned the pool daily as well as caring for and tending to the plants, and had advice and suggestions for our stay. In addition, she organized kayak and canoe rental for our party.

A perfect place for a family reunion
The house is beautiful (even more so than in the pictures) and fully accommodated the 18 adults and six children in our party. The grounds are perfectly kept and the heated outdoor pool and hot tub were in constant use throughout the day. Terra the owner was delightful, always helpful and ready with suggestions on activities in the area. While we went on some wonderful excursions we were all perfectly happy spending most of our day on the property, by the pool, relaxing in a hammock, or sharing a meal and enjoying the stunning view of the bay from the deck. We couldn’t have found a better location or host for our week-long family gathering!

A dream come true!
We were 19 adults and children enjoying a spacious three story house with private bedrooms and group gathering spaces. Dining in total, we were very comfortable. The pool, hot tub, pool table, ping pong table swings, and variety of other toys and games kept us occupied. All around us were parks for hiking and trails to the beach. The towns nearby offered great shopping opportunities. Both the adults and the children were completely engaged. Fully loved this magnificent getaway!

Fits every need
The photos on line don't do this property any justice. These folks have their heart and sole in this home, truly is a home.
Our grand kids had a ball, as we all did. These owners thought of everything. Hope to make it a yearly thing.

Nice location, awesome house
We rented this property for 28 adults. The house was roomy enough, with a well-equipped kitchen for cooking for large groups. The location was perfect! Beautiful views of the ocean from the house itself!
Only minor 'issues' that we experienced was that the Wifi didn't work - hope this was an easy fix.
Other than that, everything was perfect.

Exceeded all expectations
Pictures don’t do this property justices. From the minute you drive in the driveway it’s a spectacular experience. Terra is warm and welcoming and the house is an extraordinary building. It blends into the setting hand in glove. Everything anyone could want is available. We had an anniversary celebration with all ages from infants to seniors. All were wonderfully accommodated and left feeling delighted with the whole experience. We had a once in a lifetime celebration in the best place possible.

Something for everyone! This beautiful home in an amazing setting could be a vacation without ever leaving the property. It is very well equipped and has many personal touches. Our host went above and beyond to make our reunion of college friends absolutely great.

A great get away for growing family get together’
What a great place to vacation with our
famiily of 18.
The well kept lodge became our lovely getaway for a week full of on site swimming, cooking , games , local hiking and nearby shops galore.
No one was ready to leave. Did not understand the previous negative comments on cleanliness as we all were quite satisfied.
Some bedrooms were quite small and we could have used more fans for the warmer nights.😊

Great Time!
The property was a great place to house a large group of 30, comprised of 7 families. The grounds were big enough for the kids to have all kinds of activities to do on-site and plenty of amenities.

Fun weekend, but the house was dirty
We enjoyed our time in Maine as a family, but unfortunately the house did not live up to the expectations the listing provided. Plain and simple, it was filthy. Cobwebs in the windows, dusty and dirty glasses and dishes, a French fry left under a bed from a previous tenant, fans filled with dust, a grill full of grease and no propane tank, a leaking kitchen sink, a toilet that wobbled, a trash can in a bedroom not emptied, windows that were missing hand cranks and could not open, and a hot tub that did not work. These issues are unacceptable in any property, but especially in one that is very expensive per night to stay in. When the issues were addressed with the owner she did not take responsibility and only replied that she had a cleaning crew. Mind you, the cleaning fee is very high, so for that price the property should be spotless.
In addition, the bedrooms are misleading on the listing. Yes, the amount of beds is correct, but almost 10 of them are bunk beds in an open space, two of the bed "rooms" are in open lofts accessible by ladder, and one bedroom is right off the kitchen and the size of a closet. If the group coming to the house consists mainly of children, then the sleeping arrangements would be fine, but we were lucky that four adults had to back out of this trip other wise they would have been sleeping in bunk beds.
The house has so much potential, but unfortunately it is not properly maintained for the cost that is being charged. The issues that we encountered are almost identical to ones posted by another family from 2020, so it makes me think that the owner does not care about repeat guests or fixing the issues at hand. I guess the only pro is that the pool was warm(she did raise the temp because the hot tub was not working) and the land has a lot of fun things to do outdoors.

This Location Can't Be Beat
The house is big with so many places to congregate or be alone. The property is private and the pool is wonderful. The view of the bay is lovely and there was an osprey nest that we watched from the porch. There are SO many things to do in that area. The only negative for me was the misinformation describing the bedrooms. There are NOT 12 bedrooms. There are actually 10 bedrooms, a loft that can only be accessed by a ladder, and a community space that has multiple bunkbeds. You have to walk through the area with bunkbeds in order to get to some of the other bedrooms.

Pictures do not do it justice!
We had a family gathering of 17 people ranging in age from 5 to 96 in early June 2021. There was something, and space, for everyone! Loved that there was enough seating both indoors and outdoors so that we could all sit together as a family and have meals. Usually on our family getaways we have a day excursion but we never even left the property since there was so much to do right here. We could not have been happier with our stay, and Terra was absolutely wonderful to work with. Loved it so much we are coming back in October!!!

First, I want to say the owner tried very hard to fix all of the issues, and even threw in a lobster dinner. Which is why I feel somewhat bad with a mixed review, but I do think it's in her (and potential guests) interest; I think that if she will continue to charge a very high rate because of the increased interest in Maine due to Covid, people will expect a better maintained property - so this type of honest review will lead to less disappointment on both sides. The good: property is very large, and has a TON of things to do (pool, hot tub, sports, games, wi-fi, tv, grill, etc). The view is amazing. The bad: property is aging, and is not in good shape. broken windows, rusty sinks, mildew in showers, broken pilot lights, etc. We also had several actually broken things (fridge, pool heat, etc) - but the owner addressed everything. So nothing is actually 'broken' (other than a few windows) - but still for this much money people would expect better conditions. The place is an enigma. On cleanliness for example.. things like the beds, showers, toilets, etc - all were very clean. but then, if you look, there are spider and cobwebs in every corner of every bathroom.. so while the actual items were clean, it doesn't look like anyone thoroughly cleaned the place in years. My brother-in-law found broken glass on his bedroom floor the first night.. makes me wonder. Again, it comes down to what you are comfortable with, for the price you pay.Another point: the house is large, but beware the bedroom configuration is.. 'quirky'.. one bedroom is a loft that most people would find uncomfortable. one is a bedroom created inside of another.. might be good for a short term stay or a large group looking to save money, but not for others who expect more privacy for all bedrooms. Also, there really is no traditional beach nearby, it's a drive away.In summary: I am not saying don't stay here... The owner is really very nice and went out of her way. Just be aware it's not in the shape most would expect for that price. If you get it for a good deal, and are ok w/ things working but not in good shape, this can be an amazing place. At the end of the day, we did have a very good stay (10 days), so I don't regret it, but for a very high bill, it was disappointing.

Depends on your expectations and the price you get - could be very good for some, not for others.

Great Maine experience for our whole family
I am back home in Missouri and let me just say, I miss Maine! I LOVED the house, I could feel the creativity and love flowing out of it, we all enjoyed it so much, the house, the area, and the friendliness, and of course the sea food! You made us feel so welcome and the kids played and played with all the unique toys, we played chess, checkers, jigsaw puzzles, and cards as adults, plus all the outdoor stuff. We loved the clam digging and kid games and lobster dinner too. Your house is just set up so nice. Again thanks Terra. Great times!

Breathtaking! Perfect for our big family!
I would first like to say THANK YOU to Terra ! She was so incredible to communicate with and responded promptly to our endless questions for nine months while we planned our family reunion.
We could not have enjoyed our time in this beautiful, very artsy unique and perfectly located home more. THE HOUSE ITSELF IS AMAZING and the pictures do not do this home justice.
I enjoyed morning coffee on the big deck where there were tables with umbrellas and chairs for all 30 of us. My grandson wakes up early (4:30) and it was well worth getting up with him one morning as the sunrise over the ocean was SPECTACULAR! WOW! By mid morning sailboats and schooners were going by.
The location was ideal for taking lobster boat rides and shopping and climbing Mount Battie in the state park and then coming back for our meals. The kitchen is BIG and well stocked with BIG pans and pots for our large family.
We all agreed that there was way too much to see and do for the time we had, as most of us preferred to just enjoy the pool and hot tub and all the games, like the giant Connect 4 and horseshoe pit.
The seaweed walk they offer with Starr in Saturday Cove was one of the highlights of our stay. Don't miss it. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
