Are you quiet or late night rowdy?? If loud, choose a different place! My neighbors enjoy the peacefulness of the mountains and want to keep it that way.
We are easily accessible off of Route 321 while still being secluded. Most of the time, our home's caretaker will personally show you the home and give you your keys.
We have improved our home each year to benefit our family and yours, too!

This cove gets FULL sun and some very nice sunsets spring through fall.

The property was as advertised, with everything you could need both inside and out — with lots of water toys as well as a relaxing lounge area down near the dock. The owner was very communicative with directions and advice. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings and the wildlife — deer and bats!!

Great vacation !! Steps to lake is a killer, but the house and property was nice. Owner was great and lead us all the way.

I highly recommend this rental to anyone, the house and view is incredible. You can’t beat having coffee and watching fish jump, wild turkey run by, deer meandering by and rabbits hopping down the road. The house is beautiful and immaculate, everything is absolutely clean, and Nick has thought of everything, so if you forgot it… it’s probably available there already. The best part is the communication, the owner is very quick to respond to any question. There are plenty of paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe to launch of an awesome dock, the water temperature was perfect for swimming. Anyway, I can’t say enough about what a wonderful vacation we had and I’d truly recommend it to anyone.

Terrific place! We’re from Oregon and we were in Nashville for Christmas. Wanted to meet up with our family from Virginia. Perfect place. Wonderful house and perfect place for family!! Amenities are awesome

This place met all expectations. Was a good meeting point for family coming from 3 different states to celebrate Thanksgiving. Nick was great about making sure we had proper directions given the limits of cellular and GPS technology. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking Thanksgiving dinner. November water sports were limited but the kids enjoyed the kayak and canoe. Looking forward to a return visit.

The house has everything you could want and/or need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Our family was able to stretch out and we all had plenty of room. Also, The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed kayaking and canoeing. Overall, This made for a great mountain family vacation!

The description of this Utopian Vacation Paradise is understated. It is the perfect location to enjoy family and friends while basking in the wonders of Nature. Neighboring the Cherokee National Forest we watched the Sunrise over beautiful Lake Watagua and enjoyed playful deer families feasting on nearby vegetation. Shedding their natural security coverage they were contend to join our family fun and welcome us to the area!
The property Host, Nick, is a 5 star communications professional. I contacted him on several occasions with what I know he should have thought was trivial nonsense questions and he graciously handled each question as if it was “key” to making our stay the vacation of our lives. He has patience and tolerance beyond what is to be expected! Thank you Nick!
There are many outdoor activities in the surrounding areas of the Lake House as well as those involving gorgeous Lake Watagua; or one can do, as we did, rest, read a book or two, play games, enjoy each others company, cook great meals and enjoy family “table talk”…..something that has become almost non-existent in todays busy world! It felt great!
We are hoping to get back to Lake Watagua and The Lake House as soon as schedules will permit. While we wait we have beautiful vivid memories of our time together at Camelot!
We have been blessed. 😇

Very relaxing and quiet area. Beautiful water views and nice clean and comfortable house. Not a great swimming area near the shore, and definitely a lot of stairs that can be a little exhausting to go up and down a lot for adults. Once past shore, and off the dock and swim platform , swimming is better and water warm. Lots of toys for water fun. Overall had a very nice time.

Nick’s property is comfortable and clean. The outdoor living space is ideal for enjoying the lake and grilling out. It was a perfect way to end the summer.

We had a wonderful time at this lake house. Our host was very helpful with directions, advice and checked in on us to be sure we had everything we needed. We really appreciated the access to his paddle boards, tubes and lily pad, tons of fun! Highly recommend this home and host! Would definitely reserve again.

Great property with fabulous views. Excellent house that has all the comforts of home. Fine for small children ( we visited with a 3yr old and 7 mo old). Close to lots of great hikes (we did Jane’s Bald and Laurel Falls) and lake amenities (boat launches/rentals).
Back yard hill to lake encourages advanced planning. Property’s lower pavilion makes for a convenient day down at the lake.
Would recommend.

This was our first visit to Watauga Lake, and we loved it! Nick was a great host, checking in via text and making sure that we had everything we needed.
A few things that made our stay even easier...
1. Stocked kitchen: We bought food to cook many of our meals, but it was so helpful to have some pantry basics and condiments there to use!
2. Linens: Sheets, bath towels, beach towels, and a nice washer and dryer.
3. Generator: It just so happened that a tree took down a power line a couple miles down the road at the marina, but the generator kicked right in and we were never without power - which meant the refrigerator and the air conditioning stayed on the whole time!
4. Dog Friendly: Our lab was right at home and it was nice to be able to bring him with us instead of boarding him.
This was one of our most relaxing family vacations, the lake is beautiful and we lounged on the lily pad every day. We used the paddle boards and canoe to explore the lake, even caught a few fish from the dock and in the canoe. We also took a day trip to hike Grandfather Mountain, well worth the drive. Stop at the Peddlin' Pig on the way home for some delicious BBQ!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful lake with us!

What a wonderful place! It was the perfect mix of calm and relaxation AND things to do. All the beds were cozy, the kitchen was well equipped and the view from the deck was stunning. We loved the Lily pad to swim and play and spent hours each day exploring with the paddle boards and kayaks. Would definitely love to stay here again!

We had such a wonderful stay. The property owner was so attentive and helpful. This is an ideal cabin for a couples getaway and/or family. The 2 story layout is really well laid out. Our son stayed downstairs and had a little living room with TV, and an awesome red refrigerator :) and kitchen. We stayed upstairs. New kitchen and great bedroom with very large bath. The view is also spectacular especially at sunset! Thank you for such a nice stay.

Thank you Nick for this awesome stay. My family and I had such an amazing time and we loved the town and the proximity to Banner Elk, NC and activities in the area as well as the closeness to shops in Elizabethton, TN. The property was stunning! Beautiful lake views and spacious living area. Fire wood, fishing rods, everything you need to make your stay fun and inviting. Plenty of towels and bed linens. The Wi-Fi was awesome and even reached all the way down to the lake. Making it easier for my family since we have AT&T and did not have service in the area. Washer and dryer which was very convenient since we were traveling with small children. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a true Tennessee experience surrounded by beautiful landscapes without the large amounts of tourists that places like Gatlinburg tend to have.

We had the best time and made so many memories. The cabin was perfect and had everything that we needed. Nick was a great host and answered all our questions. He also checked in with us to to be sure we were comfortable. Being the Christmas holiday Nick put up 2 trees and other decorations. My family already wants to go back! We'll be staying again. I would highly recommend Nick's place.

I’m reluctant to tell people how great this place is because I want to keep it a secret! Absolutely amazing getaway spot- cozy and comfy, fully stocked house. Private lake access with all the toys you could hope for. My kids already asked if we can come back every year!

This place is great. The owner offers so many amenities we only got to enjoy about half of them in a 5-day vacation. Beautiful property with great access to the lake (although there are a lot of stairs). The whole family enjoyed the stay.

Accurate description provided with no surprises except for the Chestnut tree which provided an up-close view of the neighborhood deer feeding on the nuts. Fully equipped kitchen. Beautifully decorated. Spacious. Downstairs with kitchen is super cute and private.

We enjoyed our stay on Lake Watauga for my birthday with our best friends. We have visited Lake Watauga at least once a year and just love how clean it is and not congested.
The downstairs living area with kitchen and sitting area was nice for our friends to feel like they had their own space.
The house is beautifully decorated and maintained.
The owner was very helpful during our planning and helped us with our boat trailer storage.
He has thought of everything to make our stay enjoyable.
We hope to bring our family with us next time. I think they will love the water activities and games provided.
The walk to the lake is pretty steep but we have not found a house that is not on Lake Watauga considering that the house is on the side of a mountain. The steps to the lake and covered patio near the lake were nicely built and not a problem for us but you do get your exercise. The boat landing is close to the house so we loaded everything we needed when we put the boat in the water.
So glad to have found this house.
Hope you visit again...

Just what we were looking for! Quiet and I mean REAL quiet. Kids had space downstairs and adults upstairs. Dock was convenient for our friends bass boat and then a pontoon that we rented late in week. Outdoor games and fire pit made for some nice evenings. Nick was awesome throughout the entire process and yes we would stay here again. Our 5 year old son asked if we could move there and not go back home!

Great vacation property. The view is great, the dock and water toys offer a variety of ways to enjoy the lake. The kitchen is well equipped and functions well. The upper and lower decks expand the living space to accommodate friends and family and offers some separation when needed. The lower floor kitchen and small sitting area (play station is located here) was an added bonus.
The outside area is beautiful and offers several spots to gather, enjoy the scenery, or rest on your way to the dock. We enjoyed our stay here very much

Great time and perfect location.
We had a blast with something to do every day but still managed to be relaxed and very laid back. The lake was fantastic, and the property was everything you could have hoped for and more. We loved the house and it felt like home away from home.

Lake Life!!
Lake House in a beautiful private setting.
Me, my wife, our daughter and her friend really enjoyed ourselves completely.
The house is laid out so that our times together and our times separate were made so easy.
We made memories that will be with us forever.
This place is awesome 👍
