Absolutely fabulous. Couldn't recommend highly enough

Service over and above expectations. These guys really went the extra mile. We had dinner and breakfast. Both were 1st class. The bedroom was very modern, comfortable and well appointed. Would we go back? 101% definitely

Good overall value for money and service.

Room was very clean and contained coffee/tea facilities. There was also a ready supply of bottled water and milk at no extra charge. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked and politely served by staff.

I don't think the room was visited by maid service during our two night stay and so towels not replenished or beds made but this wasn't a major issue.

Beautiful room in friendly pub in quiet village but close to Poole

Beautifully decorated & furnished rooms which were spotlessly clean. Brilliant hospitality tray with variety of teas, filter coffee, chilled bottled water, fresh milk & biscuits. Quiet location. Friendly staff. Good food in the pub.

Good but needs inprovement should not have a 9.8 rateing.

The breakfast was great very filling. The dinner the night before was also very good and lots of food.

The main problem was the steep steps up to the room. Very hard to take your bags up to your room. The room was small and nowhere to put your bags. Had to put them on chairs and that blocked the door to get in and out of the room.

Gorgeous pub

Fantastic place. Friendly helpful staff. Food amazing. Gorgeous comfortable rooms. Perfect for our stay as we had a family wedding nearby.

We had a very enjoyable stay, with a lovely room and great food.

The room was lovely and the facilities were great, especially liked that there were mugs (rather than tiny cups) in the room and there was fresh milk available. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was excellent.

Brilliant! Will definitely stay again! (Regular traveller)

Everyone was so friendly and the pub was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The rooms are just spot on! It made our stay that extra special Breakfast was fantastic and again the staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble, and guests were treated so well. Satnav took us straight there, and free parking made all the difference. The Rose and Crown stands out in comparison to other stays we’ve had.

Great quality and value , an exceptionally comfortable stay!

Wonderfully appointed high quality accommodation, well presented, clean, new and comfortable. Lovely touches include the separate fridge in the accommodation lobby with fresh milk for tea and coffee, ample supplies for making drinks including bottled water, a tea pot and cafetiere. Great value for money high quality accommodation, excellent breakfasts utilising local produce and a good evening meal menu in the pub with a delicious homemade quality. Highly recommended.

Excellent for an overnight stay and fresh for the journey home next day.

Breakfast good choice. Although we arrived after expected time due to late docking of the ferry from Guernsey the kitchen remained open for us.

This is how all B&B's should be run!

Great location in a peaceful village. Ample parking. Very well maintained property. Very friendly & helpful staff. Very modern & well presented room & bathroom. Nice large shower tray. 10/10 for cleanliness. The owners have put a lot of thought into some very nice little touches like a small refrigerator in the hallway stocked with bottled water and fresh milk. Also extra tea/coffee etc available in the hallway should you need it. A proper Cafatiere with fresh coffee in the room which I have never seen in a B&B before! The evening meals and breakfasts we had were both excellent and very enjoyable (10/10 to both chefs) The food & drinks that we enjoyed were very reasonably priced. The next time I am visiting this area I will definitely be booking a room at the Rose & Crown.

There is literally nothing about this B&B that warrants a complaint.

Four Nice Rooms above a Pub

1. Super comfortable room; quiet, clean and well-appointed. 2. Excellent breakfasts. 3. Dedicated parking space was a nice extra touch.

1. Surprised to see patrons smoking in the pub, doubly surprised when the landlord told me that this was fine by him as they were "only" smoking e-cigarettes. 2. The TV in the room was not working and the landlord told me that he did not have time to look at it. When you are charging £150 a night for a room surely you can afford to call out a repairman? 3. We were there on a very stormy weekend and the only access to the rooms is up a wind- and rain- swept metal staircase, but to be fair we were aware of that from previous reviews.

Excellent choice for catching a Channel Island ferry

Warm welcome, comfy bed, good food and drinks, excellent breakfast. I liked that we had allocated parking for our room. Also cold water and a fridge in the hallway outside the rooms. Room was modern and much nicer than expected. We were there Sunday evening and enjoyed a delicious roast dinner. We were very grateful for an early breakfast (pre-ordered) as we were catching a ferry. The village is good for an after dinner stroll, there's a Tesco express and another nice pub up the road. I'd definitely stay here again.

If you’re in the area and looking for somewhere to stay, definitely stay here.

Booked as close to port, and our usual hotel was full - however am so pleased it was, as the Rose and Crown was a lot nicer! Super comfy beds, very nice shower room with good pressure and lots of hot water, with everything spotless and up to date. Bonus was the several little touches that I really appreciated - such as nice soap and shower wash, real milk for tea and coffee, with the ability to have as much tea and coffee as desired without having to request more, there is also a water machine in the hall, with bottled water also available (all complimentary for us to help ourselves to). The towels were larger than many hotels, and soft too. Parking was dedicated for each room, and had easy access. Added benefit was the pub / restaurant downstairs- really enjoyed my evening meal, and breakfast (included) was large. I was initially concerned it might be noisy as we stayed a Saturday night, but didn’t hear a thing! Will definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

Amazing place superb food and amazing staff

Thus place is amazing, staff pleasant friendly, room amazing facilities fantastic. Food really nice especially breakfast. Love the fridge with water and milk on the landing. This place really exceeded our expectations, arrived on the Friday night which was a quizz night and they were fully booked but they squeezed us in and even moved a table from another room to get us joined in the quiz. From the minute we arrived we were greeted with friendly pleasant staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Definetley be returning Thankyou for an amazing stay

Amazing experience

The place is excellent. Very well equipped bedroom with all needed. Warm and clean, situated in a very picturesque area. Easy check in and check out. Wonderful breakfast. We had a dinner in the Pub it was absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and the owner Neil, showed us around. We would definitely be back again

Totally provided everything we needed

Breakfast and main meals were excellent and location great for the wedding venue at Moonacre.The pub and its staff were great as well really good

As elderly oaps with mobility issues the steps up to the rooms proved challenging it is the only thing that needs thought for any travellers.
