Dusty and smelly rooms

Big size room. Price was good
No breakfast.
3.4
Available and easily accessible terrace, and very comfortable bed.
Tables and chairs on the terrace were little bit dirty.
3.4
The room was extremely spacious and very clean - bigger than some apartments I've stayed in.
Beds comfortable and ample towels provided.
Good on-site parking.
The self check-in was easy and straight forward.
Communication excellent.
Lovely views over the river.
Easy access to highways.
Supermarket just along the road.
I probably would stay there again.
It smelled as if someone had been smoking in the room?
Could have been amazing with the addition of a few extras perhaps a sofa or kettle as there was ample room.
No tea or coffee making facilities in our room and no access to anything after 10pm or 1st thing in the morning so take a travel kettle and supplies with you, luckily I did.
The railway across the road was a little noisy and teenagers tended to gather so couldn't have the windows open to dispel the cigarette smell.

Nothing
The room was cold and without power for 2 days (a part some hours).
After my requests of intervention something was done by owner but the services were available only for some hours out of two days.
We were forced to stay because no other options were available.
The bathroom should be refurbished.
The pictures showed on the site are not depicting the reality of the room as it is.

Large room and very well equipped bathroom. Wifi speed OK for casual surfing. Very good restaurant in the building. Clean and tidy.
No fridge in the room. Programing key card yourself not so easy. Box with empty cards actually contained the keys of previous guests and I struggled to find an empty card.

The Mühlengarten is right at the bus stop in Nittel and straight across the train station, so if you don't have a car, you have direct access to public transport within Germany and towards Luxemburg as well. If you have a car, there is a big parking lot. If you only plan to stay in Nittel for a day or two and otherwise you'd only use the room for sleeping, it's cheap. Wifi was okay.
The room was filthy. When you stepped in it looked okay, but the furniture and the bathroom felt dirty and after buying some cleaning supplies and rubbing the shelf in the bathroom and the table in the room I found out it came off completely gray/brown. I also used a small sweeper and the room had a ton of dust, as if there wasn't properly swept/vacuumed (especially under the bed). My clothes got dusty in the wardrobe and I found an old keycard in there as well, showing that it wasn't properly cleaned for a while. There were pieces missing from the bed in room 17, resulting in a huge hole where you sank into, making sleeping uncomfortable. The hotel does not have any staff on site, if you have any issues, you have to write an email. I was told there is no regular cleaning (due to Covid) and rooms will only get cleaned after my leave, but I came back one evening seeing that I got 3 bottles of shampoo for some reason and my stuff got re-arranged (nothing missing), including my pajamas have been folded (which feels violating to be honest), but the room was still not cleaned. Also, practically anyone can come into the hotel as Amazon and other deliveries were made to the rooms regularly. 2 days before the end of my stay, I have listened to someone standing and heavily breathing in front of my room's door for 20 minutes, which resulted me immediately booking over to another hotel and leaving. I didn't feel safe here.
I don't know if the rest of the building is in the same condition, but the self check-in part was a huge disappointment.

I am not sure whether anything fits in this box, truth be told. The only positive thing in our 3 night stay is the view we had from our bedroom and the spacious room in our case (1 double and 1 single).
There is room for improvement indeed;
1. The heat was unbearable. Granted no AC was listed in the details, BUT at least make fans available to the guests that actually cannot cope with the heatwave. When contacted i was told 'open the windows at night' sure..i did but nothing it was still to hot to sleep in + the green tiny insects that kept coming in. If you are not accustomed to having a heatwave and sleeping in sweat does not bother you, well not everyone is the same isn't it?
2. Lack of human communication. You go in check by yourself, at least it was fast. The issue i had, had to be addressed via a chat, rather speaking to a person.
3. We (3 families) checked in 5 min before our agreed time, the cleaner was still preparing our rooms. Could not understand basic English. In our room and my parents room we didn't have any shower gel. She gave our parents one and she didn't have for us. So we had to put some in a cup and wash with that! Also the toilet paper was not new, clearly left over by the last guests and even the box of tissues. I agree that throwing unused stuff away is not good but items that have been in contact with toilet needs, well they are not quite hygienic in my opinion.
4. My uncle (room 19) had 1 bedroom with a balcony. In the morning he would find random stuff in the balcony like cigarettes, juice boxes. On night when he was going to sleep he saw a flashing light in the balcony, and heard a woman and a baby crying. He didn't make a report because he didn't want that this mother be 'punished' yet having somebody in your room uninvited... its not quite what you accept in a 'hotel'.
5 No mini fridge or a small kettle available.

No internet connection, no 4G, 5G signal on the phone.
Basically user is not able to connect to the internet.
