Nothing
I did not get to stay at the hotel as they cancelled my booking beforehand as they overbooked 5 rooms. I was given the choice to go to an alternative hotel they selected, more than 10km away or get my fee back. I decided not to take the alternative offer and made my own arrangements. Then I got the surprise when the full amount was deducted without my approval or even being informed. Then the endless discussions started, all at my expense and time, booking.com blaming the hotel and Alex, the hotel manager blaming booking.com. Nearly a month later I have no solution yet.
Therefore my advice is, do not use this hotel, they will accept all bookings, change it last minute and if you do not accept their alternative they will just charge you in any case. Not worth the hassle.

Easy enough to find. Secure parking at the back of the hotel. We are told by others who have stayed before who we were talking with that this hotel as seen better days. We agree, the husband and wife are doing all the work due to staffing shortages. The room was in the loft, it was very clean and comfortable but the bathroom rather dated. It was an older hotel and the interior was very nice and comfortable. The terrace on the side gave a lovely view over to Mosel river to Luxembourg which was perfect for nice cool drinks in the evening. The hotel restaurant has closed. But they were making pizza on request it you wanted it. Check when you book as we booked for bed and breakfast but when we arrived we were told we had only booked for a room ( a mix- up by booking.com which has yet to be sorted)and it would be 10euros per person for breakfast, which we then paid. It was a very good breakfast of orange juice, 2 rolls with meat, salad and a breakfast bar, a boiled egg and we chose a yogurt but there was fruit and other things on offer to choose from follow by a couple of coffee’s or tea if you wanted it and well worth the cost. The couple were very nice and helpful, doing a good job under difficult circumstances. We will definitely use this hotel again but will request a lower floor. There is an Aldi supermarket on the way in just before you get to Remich on the German side. An Octupus supermarket and fuel stations in Remich. Remich is 5 mins away so, we ate in restaurants there ( to suit all budgets) as it was easy to get there.
A steep road to the car park at the back of the hotel. No lift and a lot of stairs up to the loft rooms with motorbike luggage. Don’t leave the window open to keep cool or you will be bitten as you are by the river, we knew because we were bitten.

Friendly owners, clean and comfortable rooms. You got what you paid for, including a really good view over the Moselle river into Luxembourg. Good bottled beer in the self service bar.

Beds were falling apart, worse mattress we ever experienced in our lifes, it was impossible to sleep, every move we made the bed was just making so much noise we would wake up. Terrible back pain after this night. Do not recomend anyone to sleep there.

The hotel terrace had a beautiful view to the river. Relaxing atmosphere, when sitting in the terrace
The room smelled badly, although the window was open. I think the carpet in the room was stinking.
There was no soap in the toilet. Only a small sample of shower gel, which was supposed to be used as hand soap.

Wonderful view from the hotel. Very kind owner. calm and clean room.

The location was great and right by the river.
The food was outstanding also.
I was in a room that backed onto the kitchen so this was very loud with people and pots and pans being banged around.

Beautiful place on the bank of Mosel river on the border with Luxemburg, great view from the terrace to the river. Testy cousine in the hotel's restaurant, great homemade wine. Clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast, private parking, welcoming and helpful staff.

Alec at the front desk was super, he helped us with getting the train, putting bikes away, hiring taxi.... generally very pleasant and helpful. Exceeding our expectations indeed.
We had room 21 but as the bed was against the slanting ceiling, my husband and I bumped our heads numerous times as one walks to the bedside table to pickup something!! Maybe they can turn the bed around and have the wardrobe put against the slanting ceiling. It will mean bespoke wardrobe but i feel it can be done economically and make a huge difference to guests.

Delicious breakfast beautifully presented. Staff were very helpful
Room was a little tired. Especially the bathroom.

The location above the river with the outside tables overlooking this was very nice, the food was exceptional and the staff very attentive and polite. This was the best overnight stay of our week long vacation, where we spent each night in a different town.
I got bitten by quite a few midges but thats my fault for wearing a t-shirt and shorts without any repellent as I am susceptible to them !

-The terrace with Mosel View is great for an outdoor dinner
-we got an attic room with annoyingly low sloping ceiling. Dated interieur in a negative sense. Things were rather marked by wear and tear and e.g. the shower wasn’t working very well
-At dinner we got a rather short menu card and ordered from that. While waiting we saw people being served various other dishes from a ”today’s special” card, that the waiter apparently forgot to show us. That’s simply disappointing :-(

Good breakfast, friendly staff, great location.
the service was sluggish.

Absolutely suitable for vegans. I requested oat meal for breakfast and got much more than that: bread, vegan cheese, hummus, vegetables and fresh fruits. They also offered a vegan dinner. Great people, nice location and a very lovely place to stay while taking a break from hiking. I absolutely recommend it.

Superb location just up the hill from Palzem train station and Mosel Cycle Path. Room was very spacious and well laid out. The staff was very helpful, allowing us to lock our cycles in their garage. The restaurant in the hotel was very good... we enjoyed both a fine evening meal and top notch breakfast the next morning. The hotel is in a winemaking village and a walk around to view the local industry is worth the effort.

Quaint house restored in a hotel, with an old-flashion feeling but very comfortable. Lovely view. The restaurant, food, wines, the service and walks around the village were excellent. We hope to stop by again.
Some local people have been very rude to us about walking our dog nearby, and somehow it made us feel very unwelcome. Nothing to do with the hotel.
4.1
Basic but charming hotel with very nice view over the Mosel looking onto the village Stadtbredimus (LU). Nice and big terrace for outside dining in summer time. Good restaurant with nice wine & whisky list. Friendly staff.
Limited parking facilities when the hotel is fully booked but you can park in the nearby streets.
