Beautiful place with excellent staff!
4.7
4.7
Lovely property that had all the amenities of a larger hotel with the added bonus of being extremely dog friendly.
Would have been nice to have the option for a barista style coffee rather than just filter.
4.7
The room, location, polite staff with a warm welcome. Ability to relax in the lounges, and have a drink from the bar.
If being picky the small shower head wouldn't completely turn off/broken and wifi for guest was not available.
4.7
Good was very good and the lounges and bar were comfortable and welcoming.
The bedroom was smaller than we expected for a premium room, there was no Bainbridge for clothes or shelf space in the bathroom. Gooseberry bed was fabulous, the most comfortable we've ever had in an hotel.
4.7
The food served was exceptional
Wish the room was a tad larger - however my booking was rather last minute and because I'd stayed here before I went with what was offered. Still pretty good but with my small dog it was a little cramped at times.
4.7
Such a relaxing atmosphere in a stunning location and fabulous food. Staff were super friendly and efficient.

Great views , nice staff and dog friendly
Size of the room.

Location and building is lovely
The price for a deluxe room was overpriced, especially considering the cracks in walls and ceiling, needing to pay for parking, room size and facilities. Also, for breakfast, we were made to feel awkward and like a burden if we wanted to order from the menu- when the option for ordering off the menu was offered to us, we were told ‘don’t think we’ll come to you to order, you’ll have to come and find one of us because we’re too busy to go to every table’ in a cold manner. This was especially disheartening as the room cost for 2 nights was over £400.

Excellent
The bedroom was a little small.
Didn't like the fact that dog friendly meant the dogs were in dining room.

the food was excellent. the chef superb. our room was quite spacious and the bed very comfortable. the bathroom was very good with a bath and shower and the soap and shampoo were very good quality.
waiting staff were very friendly but they didn’t seem very well trained. meals took an age to get served.
4.7
Breakfast was very good - the staff were efficient and there was plenty of choice

it’s was a charming Manor with beautiful views. the fires was on during arrival with helpful and welcoming staff.
unfortunately the room I stayed in was next to the heating system which was very loud when being used by others.

great food and service, clean and comfortable
small reception, dark rooms, bedrooms tucked away at the back.

The hotel was beautiful, with amazing views. The room we stayed in was clean and nicely decorated. The staff were really nice, very friendly and ready to help. We ate breakfast and dinner both of which were delicious.

staff was lovely, breakfast was very nice, all round excellent
the bed was a little small but still comfy

Everything was fab, to say they were dog friendly was an understatement. Could not fault a single per son from the staff, we wanted for nothing.
4.7
Great location easy access to the hills and lovely views over the lake.
Breakfast was first class, friendly and efficient service well cooked and presented.

We stayed in the annex at the side of hotel which was superb
Everything was fine, there was nothing to dislike
4.7
Lovely location, plenty of parking and breakfast was nice. Great walks nearby and great views from the room. Well-decorated throughout the manor and dog towels at the door for wet muddy dogs which came in handy!
Dinner seemed over-priced, 2 courses for 2 people and 2 drinks came to just under £80. Dog-friendly but most of the staff seemed disinterested in ours which would have been fine had they not fussed over others which made it hard not to take it personally! Also no sausage at breakfast like other reviews stated. A bit tricky to get hold of someone when checking out, were left stood waiting for a bit even though a member of staff clearing away the breakfast room had seen us waiting but didn't acknowledge us.
