Position, lovely room, clean
As I was there seven days I asked if I could be moved to a room with a view. I could only see air con units from my window. Asked three days running but ever staff member said it was impossible without saying why??

The location was good but the hotel is very tired and is in desperate need of an upgrade
Very poor signage, the place was like a rabbit warren difficulty finding the right lift to go to restaurant.
We were sat eating our evening meal when approached by the waiter asking for payment (I find that treatment appalling).
Next morning at breakfast the staff were hovering waiting to clear your plates before we had had a chance to finish eating.
Appalling behaviour

The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly.
The food was great value.
Servicing of the room was flexible meeting my needs as a guest
The communal corridor to the room was a bit old and tacky.
The room air conditioning unit had not been cleaned and was generating some dust

The outside wasn’t very appealing, but was nice on the side.
how run down it looked from the outside

Location is perfect, bed is comfortable and lovely modern design rooms.
There was no coffee in the room, only decaf ones!
When you open the bathroom it’s too close the door to the toilet.

All was ok
Bed wasn’t long enough, feet were out of the bottom

The view from the room was a dull car park for a building situated by the river. The entrance from the car park to reception then to the room was too long. The steps to come into the hotel from the front was also horrible for me.

the bed was very comfortable o
man who works in the afternoon always very kind and courteous
I arrived at the hotel and was attended by a woman. She gave me the room keys. I went back to reception and explained that the location of the room was very bad and that it was not pleasant. I asked to change, she said it was impossible because the hotel was full. How could a 121-room hotel be crowded in a pandemic?
I then continued in the room she designated. The shower was completely clogged, and a few drops of water fell. I had to clean myself with my nails in order to take a shower (the next guest would be satisfied). The view from the room was a wall with old things thrown on the roof - completely depressing.
The lighting in the room is very dark, very difficult to work. There is no fridge and they do not serve ice. If I wanted, I had to make everything hot.
I walked to the hotel mornings, afternoons and evenings. Zero movement of people, no one in the hotel. It wasn't crowded, it was completely empty.
Until today I did not understand the reason for lying to keep me in a horrible room.

Excellent buffet breakfast in restaurant overlooking the river. The room was a good size with comfortable bed and excellent shower in the en suite
The room was cold and the air conditioner/heater didn’t seem effective,.

Only thing was getting the heating on. Reception had to put it on from there point (however that was co trolled). We loved it though once that was sorted. Hotel, the staff and food was lovely.
Heating being controlled by reception.

Location. Parking. Nice room with river view. Friendly receptionists.
We’d had a very early start on day of arrival so had gone to bed early. The fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate. This was due to someone smoking in their room so not fault of hotel. The following morning we had to have cold showers before going to work. There was a problem with the hot water which was not resolved until later in the day. Someone had been sick in the lift. It had obviously not been cleaned thoroughly enough as the stench was awful. Our room was cold as the heating did not seem to be working properly. The metal plug in the basin was stuck so we were unable to use it. It was not worth reporting as we were leaving the following morning.

Lobby Looked nice
The heating did not work in our room. We were moved to another/ bigger room. The heating came on and was noisy. We asked to be moved to a smaller room with heating that worked and was not noisy. It took ages for the heating to heat up the room as it kept going on and off. In the end we asked for another portable heater. It was a very cold winter weekend and to not have the heating on or working is very poor. It was warmer in the lobby than it was in the room.

Privilege Room was lovely, linen fresh & bed huge & comfortable. Smart furnishing.
Useful fridge & nespresso machine.
Bathroom clean & modern.
Traffic noise - even on 7th floor.
Windows steamed up with condensation so no view of river.
Secondary glazing poor & so drafty. Needed to keep curtains closed as draft excluders!
Room cold even with heating up full.

Clean, easy to navigate. Parking on site. Had a fitness centre. Great location near town centre and alongside the river
Fitness centre could have been larger and better equipped

The hotel is situated in a good location close to the city and river. The breakfast staff were friendly and welcoming, unlike the snooty male receptionist.
1. Rude male receptionist.
2 Room heating seem to come on automatically and overheat the room.

No facilities for disabled.A support bar next to the toilet would be good.Perhaps a few rooms more readily accessible for guests who have difficulty walking.Better signposting to dining room from lifts

Booked a premier room as staying 4 nights - lots of space, big bed, friut and cake complimentary arrival platter, pod coffee machine. All the staff were very helpful and informative, Car park was good, and good price (£5 a night) River view from room and restaurant amazing
Not at all busy, so bar and restaurant atmosphere was lacking.Skeleton staff at night to sort out restaurer- they did bar, ran up and downstairs to serve customers there, took orders and clear tables. but not always in the right place at the right time! Really didn't like the beggar on the steps of the hotel when we came back at 9,30pm Also thought the charge for breakfast was a rip off - £18 each for a very nice breakfast buffet, but certainly not worth £18. Fell for it first morning - had an Easter hot cross bun from a supermarket and a nice cup of posh coffee courtesy of the pod machine in our room the next 2 days
