House was comfortable and well suited to our group of 3 generations. Having access to a pool with retractable cover was great for cool mornings and hot afternoons. There is limited public beach access and they were crowded, but to be expected over July 4th holiday. We enjoyed the fireworks!

We stayed at this property for 5 nights, and everything was great. The property match the listing, and we had plenty of room for 4 adults and 5 kids.

Stay here!
I would recommend this property to my friends and family.
It was very clean, an amazing location and felt very safe. There is a community fire pit but you will need your own wood and fuel to start it. There is ice machine at the pool you can use for your cooler.
Tips: Bring your own hand soap pump, extra dish soap, beach towels and beach chairs and fuel for grill.

Pictures definitely do not do this property justice. It’s absolutely beautiful and more spacious than I imagined. We had a small issue but they handled it and even extended our holiday stay. Thanks y’all!

Perfect!!!!
My family of 6 adults and 4 kids stayed at this wonderful home the week of August 3rd through the 10th. It was plenty large for all of us. It was very close to downtown South Haven, about a 5 minute drive. The beach was also about a 5 minute drive. We were very surprised that the lake water was warm enough to go in, so the beach day was one of our favorites. I would highly recommend bringing beach chairs and an umbrella.
The house itself had pretty much everything we needed, except a can opener. Lol
My only reservation was the community pool. When you have little ones, you really need to drive there. If you bring all their stuff, a cooler, and snacks, it’s a lot to carry. So we found it best to drive there. Plus they say that it’s a heated pool, but I think they forgot to turn the heater on, because the lake water was warmer than the pool. That was very disappointing especially for the kids.
We loved South Haven and already plan on coming back in a couple of years. This was a great family vacation for us all. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me and I’ll try to help.

Great rental for a Fall get a way weekend.
This home was perfect for our group of 6 mature people. The home is warm & inviting as well as very clean. We enjoyed our venture into South Haven as well as nearby Douglas and Saugatuck for shopping and good restaurants/bars. The kitchen was well appointed and we cooked dinners in. A good time was had by all!!

The property was very clean and we enjoyed out stay.
A couple of concerns we did have was with the pullout sofa's for sleeping arrangements. The ones that were lucky enough to sleep down stairs did feel the mattress had a lot to be desired, not much support. It did push us to be out of the house by 10am with 6 adults and 6 children but we did manage to leave at 10am. I was very pleased with the support when I called into guest services to let the know one of the blinds in the master bedroom would not come down to close off the light in the morning. Anthony did come to check it out but stated a new blind would have to be ordered, not sure how that was not caught proir to our arrival, he also brought over another coffee maker as the one their would not let the coffee drip through. We will consider this house or a house in the general area for a future stay. It was a great family weekend even with the few minor glitches, I would recommend this house to others who are visiting South Haven area.

Clean and spacious
We had a great family vacation. While walkable to the beach it’s a bit of a trek when hauling little ones and their gear. Kitchen was well appointed and served as a great central family space

Growing neighborhood.
7/28/2018 Newcome & Oak Beaches were much smaller than we had expected (possibly due to record high water levels) and the pool at the yacht club was not heated. The house and kitchen were very nice and well appointed. The deck is not as private as it once was, because they are in the process of building another house about 10 feet to the north and there was construction noise near kids nap and bedtimes. The roof is almost done! We appreciated the towels and washer and dryer Trash pickup is in the afternoon on Monday. The garage is a bit narrow. We unpacked in the rain so we pulled cars in, and found that a bit tight but then we just used it to park a bunch of bikes. So with a car in the drive, it would have been nicer to have a slightly wider driveway to get those bikes in and out around the trash cans and a car parked there. The air conditioner was working pretty hard since the heat exchanger was clogged with something. That needs water flushed thru it from the inside to help save money on the electric bill and maybe prolong the life a little. We had an enjoyable time in South Haven.

Nice! Well stocked and roomy!
We had a great time in South Haven at this house. The pool was walking distance to the house and it fit everyone comfortably. We had nine adults and I think that is the max for adults to have comfortable sleep. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you can imagine. The decks were great and we used the fire pit each night we were there. Anthony was also a great host! We only had one hiccup and that was a broken dryer that took way too long to fix. We had no need to use it, so it might have been nice if they had waited until we were gone.

We had a great time at this lovely house.
Right from day one when welocated this property on VRBO, it was a very pleasant experience for me. I initially had second thoughts as VRBO did not have an option to book from its website for this property. We were directed to Blue water vacation rental website where we had option to book or we can call their office to book it over phone. I thought i will try calling and if only i feel comfortable will book it. Mr Anthony responded to my voice mail and he was very straight forward and helpful in answering all my questions. I felt confident about the place and I booked it over phone. He promptly sent all related documents and info sheets . We had a late check in( really late at 12:30 AM !!!!) and he was available on the phone when we called him at 11:40 !!! i can't believe it !!! thanks Anthony. He switched on the lights for us before we arrived and the house was bang good when we entered. It was exactly as shown in the pictures and no mis representation. Anthony even told us what is not available at the booking time itself so we went prepared with those stuffs( hair dryer, washing liquid etc). The kitchen was fully loaded and had all types of utensils. Our group cooked on all the three days and stayed inside for most part of the three days that we spent there. We were four families and all of us had very good time at the house. One of our boy's toys needed a battery replacement . We had the battery but no star driver to open the battery case. I called Anthony if he can help and within 10 minutes he was in the house with his tool kit. Man , you are great and thanks for all your help which made our stay very pleasant. Probably, the only major issue we faced is hot water for bath. We had to give atleast 30 minutes gap between baths. Since we did not have any plans outside , we were able to manage but if you have a schedule, then you need to start getting ready atleast 4 or 5 hrs earlier !!! Another issue is the running water sound from bath pipes in the upper level rooms. I was managable though and none of these 2 issues mattered much due to overall great experience. One more nice things is , the fourth bedroom(trundle beds) which we thought might more be like a kids room was infact able to sleep 4 adults. so , this place is really true to what it says on the website. Price was very reasonable and infact Anthony was good enough to give us a 2 hr late checkout. To summarise, we all enjoyed and i would again visit this place if there is an opportunity.

Wonderful House, had a great stay
I had a great little getaway at this house. South Haven is a great little town, we only came for 3 nights in January but loved it. The weather was cold and snowy but we were able to do a little sledding on the hill by the house. I will be booking this house again.

Close to everything and yet private for relaxing!
The cottage was more than we had hoped for, very spacious and fit our group of 12 without feeling crowded. All 3 couples had there own room and the kids really enjoyed the trundle beds. I really liked that there are bathrooms on every floor (especially the Master) The master suite was where me and my wife stayed and it was incredible, a fireplace (we didn't need to use it), bathroom (with a walk-in 2 person shower), and balcony to enjoy the sunrises. The kitchen is big and open and had all the pots and pans my wife needed. The finished basement was great with 2 couches and a bedroom with a bathroom. The cottage was very clean and maintained. The host/property manager was very friendly and helpful when we had questions about the area. The property was the perfect location for us. We loved that it was close to downtown, and yet private when we wanted to relax. There was a big yard next to the house for the kids to play soccer and run around. We absolutely loved the firepit behind the house. We spent most of our time at the pool and the beach. I would recommend the management company and the cottage to anyone looking for a great place to stay in South Haven.

As beatiful and inviting as the pictures!!
As beautiful and inviting as the pictures!! We had a group of 12 women stay at the Daydreamer and absolutely loved it! The house was fully equipped with any kitchen supplies you could think of, beach towels, board games, etc.! There was a great/helpful binder of all local attractions, restaurants and amenities, and the host stopped by shortly after check in to ensure we were happy with the place and to answer any questions. The house was a 2 minute drive to the beach, 5 minutes to downtown, and close to grocery stores (Meijer and Walmart). Pictures of the Daydreamer were completely accurate and all the girls agreed that we would love to make this a yearly trip and would prefer to stay at the Daydreamer!

Great Cottage, had a great stay!
The Daydreamer hosted our group of 11 for a great September weekend. This house was very clean. The house had everything we needed, with lots of space. We had one family stay in the basement. (which was more like a suite, had a fireplace, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a living room) We stayed upstairs in the master suite. The walk-out balcony had a fantastic view of nature, with the firepit and a pond. There was a fireplace in our suite that was nice during the evening. My son and his wife stayed in the upstairs bedroom and the kids loved the bedroom across the hall. Their family had there own bathroom, too. The staff was very accommodating, delivered a couple firewood bundle to the house. Overall this was a great experience, the house was perfect and I can't wait to do it again!

Great family vacation!
We had a great family vacation. South Haven is such a great little town. We enjoyed walks to the beach everynight to watch the beautiful sunset. We had a couple of days of rain, but the house was great and we enjoyed each other. I loved the master suite, (didn't need the fireplace in june)The views from the master balcony were amazing. We seen deer right in the meadow and by the deck.

Some good, some bad
So, there's some good and some not so good to this place.
Clearly, the property was intended to be highly developed with many tens of houses, but something must have gone wrong (perhaps the 2008 collapse?), and only a handful of properties were built. This gives the property a sort of odd feel - the daydreamer is on a very, very large lot, but the structure itself is built for a narrow lot. Overall, the property is peaceful and serene, which is quite nice.
The pros: nicely appointed and decorated. There's a club pool very close by - it's clean, and pretty cold. It's also small, so if there are a few families there, it starts to feel crowded. The walk to downtown SH is manageable for fit adults and some kids.
The cons: first, don't even consider the pull-out sofa in the lower level as a sleeping option. The property manager said it was a new sofa bed, but the mattress is so comically bad that it's just not an option. Second, the wifi is spotty and exceedingly slow (it's DSL, and bad DSL at that). Don't plan on doing anything off wifi - make sure that you have good cell reception and enough data to do whatever you might need.
Unfortunately, the house is cheaply built with very thin walls. Walking on the main floor wakes up people sleeping in the lower level. Conversations can be heard through walls, flushing toilets echo throughout, etc. If every in your group goes to bed and wakes up at the same time, that might not be so bad, but families with younger kids might want to think twice.
Perhaps most oddly and disappointingly, the outdoor space to the house is horrible. Because the land was meant to be developed, they cleared a lot of the trees right near the house, so there's very little shade. And, while there's a deck out back, it points due west, which means that you're in direct sun from about 3-8, and it can get very hot in the summer. Then, throw in the fact that the property is pretty secluded, and you get a lot of mosquitoes. That's expected in rural Michigan in the summer at dusk, but how about a screened-in porch? It would make it much nicer. Okay, no porch... how about a dining table on the deck ? Or even a cheap picnic table next to the house? Anything for those who might want to be outside? There are a few plastic Adirondack chairs, which are fine, but for a "lake house," there's surprisingly little attention paid to making the immediate outdoors useable.
Overall, fine. Not great, but not horrible.

Beautiful Home
This was a great house for a large family. Nice path for bike riding from the house to the lake and into town. Just a walk away from the marina and pool. Nice secluded area since not to many other houses are built yet.
A housekeeping crew was waiting there before 10a.m. to get in and clean. Other houses I have rented had noon or even 4pm check out times. We also had some plumbing and dryer problems that they fixed while we were out.
Overall a great house.

Great place for families
It was a great trip and we were very happy with where we stayed. It was the perfect size for our three families (10 people total). There were three bedrooms upstairs and one in the basement. Would for sure stay here again and really liked our location. We couldn’t walk to town or the beach, but driving was short and never had problems parking even on the 4th of July. The pool was a short walk down some steps to the Marina. The house was very clean and had pretty much everything we needed.
