The room was very clean and the location is perfect- close to M1. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and there is a nice garden outside.
Our room was very very noisy, we could hear everybody entering the hotel, slapping doors and loud talking all the time. We could not rest adequately and were awaked many times by loud noise. Breakfast is not worth it. Furniture was oldish and not related to the photos.

Our hosts Nicola and Matteo were wonderful so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was awesome spacious ,comfortable and private.
We loved the garden it was a special feature for us and we would definitely stay again..Location great and easy to get around. Many Thanks
😍😍

The owners and staff were all very friendly and helpfull. The room was much more homely than a 'normal' hotel. The garden was also a lovely place to sit and spend some time. Lots of fruit trees, herbs, lizards, birds!
The information about the city was really helpful, very close to the metro and easy to get into the city. Easy access to Milano Bicocca university. Good food options around the hotel and a few launderettes nearby.
Nothing!

A small but great facility run by perfect brothers - Mathew and Nichola.
They were perfect and presented superior hospitality like a family.
Thanks for bith 👍👍👍

The two brothers running it are great: open, friendly and with a contagious positive attitude. The internal yard/garden is nice and relaxing. Metro is less than 5 minutes away and you can reach the center of Milan in less than 15 minutes.
Rooms could be slightly refreshed as a plus … but there is everything you need and also a bit more.

Wonderful Italian coffee made how you like it along with a nice 🥐pastry & sandwich for breakfast.

Good breakfast (yummy capucchino 😍 ), very friendly and helpful staff, lovely garden to relax at, room and reception nicely decorated, very original (colourful) floor in the bathroom. Our room even had a fridge and a microwave oven which might be a good bonus for some travellers. 👍 In general a quite place where you can't hear your neighbors in a room next to you but still close to the city center.
This hotel has a real spirit and thanks to its owners, Matteo & Nicola, you almost feel like visiting your old friends! 🍀
I would only think of some new matrasses some time in the future but it's definitely no big deal for a couple of days stay. 🙂

The staff were very kind and the room was extremely clean.
although there’s a metro within 5 minute walking distance it’s not that central. i booked it because i needed to stay close to the archimboldi theater but it wasn’t that close either. and there isn’t much else in the area.

The room was a bit noisy.

Really helpful guys helped me out with printing my boarding pass and lent me his phone charger as I'd forgotten mine. Couldn't do enough for you.
Not many restaurants nearby and quite a long way from centre although to be fair had booked here as it was close to theatre where had booked an event

Very friendly Staff, eager to assist you and provide information about the city sights of Milan
The breakfast was very fresh and tasty.
There was an artistic touch all around you, that shows the love and the efforts of the owners to make something special.
The room was very big and was not easy to keep it warm during the night.
It is a bit far from the city centre, but there is a metro station 5' from the hotel.

I really liked the room — perfect size for one person or a couple (medium size people😅). The room and the bathroom were very clean. I was scared of cold night and asked Nicolo for another blanket. He brought super clean blanket in a packaging from a cleaner. It made me think that the hosts seriously take care of sanitary issues. Nicolo is very nice host and happy to make your stay comfortable as much as possible. The location is good for those looking for quite place. It is very close to the subway and bus stops. It takes about 15 min to reach Duomo area.
It is a bit far from city center if specifically need the center of the city or you plan heavy shopping.

Guys that running the hotel are super nice, always smiling and helpful. Breakfast is phenomenal, always fresh and delicious.
Place and simple and clean. Exactly what i needed.

staff super friendly
I was expecting a big sign outside, so I didn’t pay attention to the street number. I walked past the entrance twice. this would be no problem for a more intelligent traveler!

the hosts were amazing - friendly helpful and kind
the property is not brand new it has lots of character and hence some bits can be a little old fashioned eg shower curtain

The neighbourhood is nice and safe, close to the metro. The room was clean. I liked the bathroom and the garden (by daytime). The owners are nice and helpful.
The room was very basic, similar to a hostel. I expected a bit more to be honest. I'm happy that I stayed only two nights as I was not able to sleep before midnight. There was lots of noise coming from the kitchen and the garden during the evening hours. I could hear the owner shouting or just speaking too loudly and also the external people who came to "aperitivo". I felt like I was in an overpriced hostel close to a night club. For this price, you can rent an entire modern flat in Bergamo, Prague or Antalya.

Nice coffe, very tasty croissants with jam

A lovely hotel, a small paradise inside the city. The owners are excellent and nice hosts. The metro M1 line is five minutes walk. The distance to the University of BACOCA is a twenty minutes walk. The Apertivo dishes in the evening were very tasty and generous.
In our opinion, breakfast could be improved if they would add yogurt and eggs in addition to the sandwiches and the excellent craroissants
4.5
the hospitality of nicola and matteo
the warmeness of the place
it was perfect choice and i will be back
all perfect

Very helpful brothers. Such a tranquil place with an amazing hidden garden. Just what I needed after a long day travelling from UK to Milan
Breakfast was a little basic but good value. Would liked to have ironed a few clothes.

Two fantastic super-friendly brothers managing a cosy small hotel in the Bicocca area. Home-made breakfast in a wonderful internal garden, great snacks at night. Cool rooms during heatwave.

Loved everything about the Il Girasole!
Matteo and Nicolo are great hosts, providing a really pretty, super chill space to have your stay. They proper care and are always there to help you on your trip.
My room was perfect - clean, well stocked with toiletries and amenities for your stay. The garden outside is great too.
Can’t wait to come back!
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like!

The bed was comfortable and the room clean.
Proximity to public transport was excellent.
The hosts were very warm, welcoming and provided good information.
The room had no kitchen facilities and the decor a bit dated.
