Camera a Lucca in centro città - Buono, ma....

Camera pulita e accogliente, situata in centro a Lucca, praticamente di fianco al Duomo di San Michele. Host gentile, ci ha consigliato cosa visitare e dove cenare. C'è una macchina del caffè in comune a disposizione.

Camera senza condizionatore, solo un ventilatore a disposizione e' davvero poco. Di notte la camera e davvero calda, difficoltà a dormire, anche perché non essendoci la zanzariera non si può tenere le antine o finestre aperte. Nel prezzo mi aspettavo un minimo di colazione, almeno delle semplici fette biscottate e marmellata.

A good two days in Lucca on a comfy bed

Very centrally located, though it is slightly hidden if you try to find it on the map. You have to take a small alleyway and then turn left - it'll be the very last door at the end. Lucca is a small place, so this was a perfect place to be. Loads of shops, cafes basically 2 minutes away from our door.

As some people have mentioned already, the stairs may be a bit of mission for some people to go up and down, especially if you have big luggage (we didn't). But contrary to what someone said, there is a small landing after the first set in case you need to catch your breath. :-)

Non si applica partendo già dalla descrizione qui su Booking della stanza "Est" (così si fa chiamare), omettendo sul fatto che il bagno non sia interno alla camera, ma esterno. C'è solo scritto che è privato, ma non c'era una chiave per chiuderlo. Quindi sarebbe potuto entrare chiunque. Non si applica sul risolvere problemi. Abbiamo chiamato ovviamente per trovare una soluzione, ma dopo un po', durante la chiamata con il proprietario, la compagna/moglie di quest'ultimo, ha preso in mano il telefono iniziando a rispondere infastidita, invitandoci ad andarcene se non ci fosse andata bene la camera. Dicendoci che non potevano portare la chiave perché non erano nelle vicinanze, chiudendoci poi la chiamata in faccia. Se ne sono lavati le mani girandoci per whatsapp alcune strutture disponibili nei paraggi ad almeno 100 euro in più, ma ormai erano le 8 di sera e sinceramente avere anche lo scazzo di cambiare alloggio, fare un altro check in, non ci andava. Al mazzo di chiavi datoci all'ingresso, bastava aggiungere quella del bagno e non sarebbero venuti fuori problemi. Infine non si applica neanche nella cura della stanza. Tavolino in camera appiccicoso e in cattivo stato, frigorifero spento, prese non funzionanti, peli nel bidet e dulcis in fundo il sapone allungato con l'acqua, che descrive proprio la voglia di mandare avanti questa attività. Un consiglio che posso darvi è che se dovete tenere un b&b in questo modo solo per arrotondare lo stipendio cambiate lavoro, ce ne sono tanti. Magari non al pubblico visto come trattate i clienti al telefono.

Location excellent. Room ok but no Aircon (38° temps)and WiFi code incorrect on all literature. Stumbled across a leaflet in the unmanned reception area on day of departure (only 1 nt stay).

It was a lovely second stop along my walk on the Via Francigena (starting in Lucca). The owner was so kind! There’s an espresso machine and packaged croissants and biscuits for early morning check-outs.

Paolo was the perfect host! So friendly, he carried my enormous and heavy suitcase up the stairs and back down again when it was time to go. Offered lots of advice on what to do/see. The room was just what I needed, clean and had good fan to keep me cool at night. Was also in a great location. Very happy with my stay here.

Lucca is lovely

It’s located off a hidden little courtyard near a very pretty piazza with large sycamores and good cafes.

I liked having the kitchen but it could have been better equipped for actual cooking. I would like the owner to look at what is there and see if they could cook a meal there. I suspect the answer is no. So that tells me they are not that concerned with my experience in the kitchen.

Spacious, Air-conditioned Accommodation

Tucked in a quiet courtyard in the heart of the old city, this accommodation was spacious and a cool retreat from the hot Italian summer. The host was friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. The full refrigerator was appreciated and kept our supplies cold in the hot summer.

The kitchen lacked many basic items including cups, corkscrew, wine glasses, and gas stove striker. Our host provided these items immediately upon our request. The ceiling sloped and in many cases was too low. This was a problem in the bathroom. Also there were nearly 50 stairs to climb to get to the apartment.

Big bathroom, well-equipped kitchen. Water dispenser for all guests.

First, it is very hard to find this place. Do not rely on neither Google Maps nor the instructions given by the property. When I suggested some improvement for the instructions I was told that it was Google Maps fault. Second, there was a pair of dirty socks left in the wardrobe. I found it disgusting. The ceiling fan was not working (or at least we did not find a way to make it work). Third, the noise from the streets at night was terrible! If you want to have a good rest at night, do not book this place.
