Location- grounds were very nice
Would of like to have been in the main building but there was a wedding g on so understandable. Breakfast was warm not hot.
3.9
Historically very interesting - building reflects the scientific, artistic and political heritage of the Salomons. Science theatre is a must see. Grounds pleasant and staff bubbly. Good breakfast.
3.9
Great scenery of greenery and a castle. Breakfast was yummy as well everything you need (buffet)
Nothing

The pictures didn’t do this place justice, the cottage was amazing and had everything you could need. Overall finished to a high standard and very peaceful

Lovely main house and food was delicious
Room was cramped and bed uncomfortable. Breakfast mediocre

The actual reception part of the hotel and the restaurant and bar was good . breakfast was okay
Well when I booked the room I didn’t realise that I wasn’t staying in the actual nice part of the hotel I was then told that we were staying away from the hotel Upperhill round the corner to a place that looks like a council estate so it’s very disappointing
3.9
Beautiful resort, comfortable bed,fan in room.Meals were very goodand well priced.
Shower wasa bit iffy.
3.9
Good value. Beautiful grounds
Noisy accommodation. Loads of stairs and very hilly to get to breakfast and dinner. Very limited restaurant menu .

Location is fine.
No hot water for a shower in the morning. Buffet breakfast seemed to have been cooked some time before and left to curl up under heater lamps.
Double bed room booked turned out to be a room with two single beds. Appeared to be very much student accommodation. Not on a par with hotels.
3.9
dirty, ants in room, spider on desk,no aircon, bedside table dusty,
3.9
beautiful grounds
accommodation is like an old army barracks

Quiet. Lovely reception area in the main building. The breakfast was quite good.
The bedrooms, in an annex near the main building, were very basic. Our bathroom had an unpleasant smell.
3.9
Staff nice and location
Room was small with no hot water and Heating
3.9
Convenient for a wedding on the grounds. Good value for money and lovely surrounds.
Noise in the corridors and people coming in and out - you can hear everything.
3.9
It was available when we needed it at a rate that was affordable
Breakfast awful and the coffee was undrinkable. The annex rooms are not clean and the mattresses are filthy, I've stayed in better budget hostels. Loud slamming doors, noise outside early in the morning and late at night it's very loud from the events happening at the hotel.
3.9
lovely area
too hot and fire door light was above bed rather than door so made it hard to sleep

Accommodation very clean comfortable and warm. Main hotel and estate attractive. Staff very helpful especially with local knowledge.
Breakfast to good standard.
Menu restricted but can recommend the chicken with nduna sausage.

I personally liked my room with comfortable beds an excellent shower and the food served was very good.
What let down the stay was a serious lack of insulation between the upper floor and ground floor I had 2 rather grumpy members of staff the next morning saying they could hear everything from the room above, which was a shame as the rooms were excellent.
3.9
Staff were top, super nice and happy to sort out any problem we had. Dinner was really nice. The commons areas in the main building are cozy and nice if you want to sit for a drink or enjoy a conversation with friends.
Carpet in our room was stained (not dirty, just old) and the room was smaller than we expected.

The grounds, food and price
3.9
the staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The food was exceptional both evening meal and breakfast; quality ingredients used and very tasty.
Rooms are not luxurious but functional and bed very comfy, fine for short stay.
loved the location.
the heating went off around 11pm and it was very cold in the night.
The cups used in the room and for breakfast are too small.
3.9
Staff flexibility in booking in colleague for additional nights on the spot.
Dimming corridor and staircase lights overnight - shone through curtains a little in room 205 Broomhill.
3.9
nice estate
said over phone was okay for accomodation to
be ready early - so made plans and then it wasnt. felt like a drama. also 50 pounds hold/charge for the room - too steep. silly money.
3.9
Breakfast for spine it could have done with a member of staff keeping food looking fresh the bacon was like cardboard
3.9
Room was clean an comfortable
I booked ahead for a Vegan breakfast but no sign of it when I asked. Most apologetic but that didn't solve having little breakfast option.
3.9
Staff are really helpful and polite. The grounds are lovely. The accommodation was quite cheap and had lots of free parking.
Food in the evening is just basket food. That is not what you expect for something billed as a hotel restaurant. Tunbridge Wells is 10/15 minutes away by car so it's not like you can pop out somewhere else if you don't want chips.
Rooms are small with no sound proofing and in need of a lot of attention as they are quite shabby.
