Great layout and location

Location
No cold water in the sink. The sink wasn’t clean, needs a good scrub. The rooms and hotel smell of stale food. Not sure that the extraction is working well
Enough in the kitchen.

The location was great with plenty of bars and bistros nearby. The room was tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was superb and set me up for the day.
The size of the bathroom was tiny, and it was impossible to use the sink as they had put a shelf above it, making it impossible to wash. This a great example of form over function. From my perspective, I'm more interested in practicality. The staff were polite, but I wouldn't describe them as friendly.

The location was perfect. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Our room was on the top floor and there was no lift. Our room was ‘superior’ not sure how they justified that?! The carpet was very stained, the floor very uneven and the room was quite small. There was no iron or ironing board, no safe, no long mirror.

Location, friendly staff, comfortable bed, restaurant attached.
Many steps to be negotiated. expensive restaurant.

great location, room size was good, welcome reception.
decor a bit tired, the odd cobweb and a bit of mildew in the shower, no view at all . had to pay for parking. breakfast not included in price.

Receptionist / bar lady was helpful, chatty and very professional
Bed was way too hard

Room 21 is a lovely room, with windows facing both ways. Very quiet on a Friday evening which was a surprise.
Perfect location on the Pantiles and hotel parking nearby [ costing £10 per day ] .
No bulb in one bedside light. Up very narrow stairs and no-one offered to carry our bags even through my wife and I are in our seventies.

lovely location, and great food.
All perfect.

rooms are smart
so are the bathrooms
the 4th floor walk up to room with no lift
hardly a relaxing trip
more like a mountain hike every time we left and returned -no lift

Room was amazing and great location
6.0
Lovely location and staff but for £160 I would have expected more "polish" and comfort in the room itself.
The room decor seemed "tired" and not very welcoming. A soft chair and a small desk with chair would have been great. The bedside lamps were too dim to read by, there was no full length mirror and no suitcase stand. Useful extras like an iron would have been great.
5.0
location for our purpose.
big problem with room. staff very quickly offered another room & upgraded with no extra charge. luck there was availability
no lounge area to relax. just restaurant . lots of narrow stairs & floors. ok for us but not accessible for others

Great view
Cosy bed
Noisy plumbing kept us awake
Awful overpriced breakfast

well located. nice bar and tea room area. staff were helpful with an issue we had but couldn’t actually do anything about it, but did provide breakfast on the house and it was a really lovely full English.
bedrooms are poorly kept. walls are dirty carpets have stains and the bathroom needed some attention.
the room was reasonable in size there was room for a queen or king size bed but there is only a double.
could do with a more modern TV

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, the location is great
The single bedroom was very small

staff were very friendly and helpful
Bathroom could have been cleaner - shower head looked mouldy and there was a sock left on the floor.
Duvet was very lumpy, but nonetheless bed was comfortable.
5.0
restaurant was nice the outside was lovely, the bath was nice although it leaked underneath when I emptied it. staff friendly.
cleanliness of my room bad, dusty in many parts and really dirty in the corners of the rooms, they need a good steam clean, the decor was worn out cracked, stained walls needed painting and the mirror and pictures were awful to look at. I had a very bad experience in this room regarding both days I stayed. i think there is a bad spirit that need removing and it scared me so bad that I wont be staying again. please redecorate your hotel rooms and clean better.

nothing ,old and tired
expensive not worth it, don’t even get breakfast for £250
7.0
The staff, AJ and team were accommodating and attended to my concerns immediately. The room was cleaned well.
The bed was too soft. it sank in the middle. I think the old mattress needs changing. The room should have a latch, and the door leading upstairs should be closed from a certain time, say 12 midnight or earlier.
