The Whyte house is very cosy. It was a welcome bonus that I wasn't affected by loadshedding since they are off the grid. It was cold when I was there hence the electric blanket was well appreciated and that there was a heater in the room.

Wauw, what a stay!
First of all what a fantastic location. The looks, style and atmosphere of this building are magnificent.
Second the host Rob and his staff were really providing all kind of tips (things to visit, places to eat and get Coffee,...) to get the maximum out of our stay. Furthermore everyone was superfriendly.
Breakfast was great. The room was spacious and had style. No loadshedding!
Could have stayed here for longer...
I only could stay there one night...

I really enjoyed the lovely, homey breakfast I received after a hot cup of coffee. The location was beautiful, I had a lovely view of the mountains and even took an early morning walk to appreciate the amazing surroundings.

Nothing, no tv in the rooms (one TV upstairs with no seating and they still had to stream), no ceiling, very old eland worn out towels. In fact, I asked for a refund, we sought accommodation elsewhere. I don’t even think they have any staff.
They charge the same as the 5* hotel.
Everything. See above

Beautiful house, nice garden and pool, friendly hosts, good beds
Water scarcity (common problem), quite a few bugs in the room (mosquitos - electric repellant is offered thankfully). Our room had no view (door at the back)
