My sister and I stayed in June. It was a lovely overnight stay and my only quibble was I could not stay another few days. It is like a little escape from the fast hectic world we live in. There is a lovely calmness to the property and the attention to detail is obvious in every room. Breakfast was a treat with some wonderful local honey available. The 'ivy' honey was delicious. You can see the owners have a focus on good quality.....food, furnishings, linen. Lots of room to sit and relax in the house and also outside seating to enjoy the gardens. Really enjoyed our stay and I would have no hesitation in recommending

The setting and the house was absolutely lovely. The breakfast was beautifully set out and delicious. The view over the loch, the cows in the next field, the country lane leading up to the house and the gardens exceeded expectations.
The house is a little far from neighboring towns (restaurants). We didn't feel as welcome there as in other bed and breakfasts where we stayed in Ireland. We were cautioned to stay away from the owner's dwelling because of the guard dogs. I am 73 years old and the owner made me feel like I was a small child about to break something in Granny's house. He was very uptight about breakfast proceedings.

Treat yourself to this luxurious B & B. Aside from being lakefront, Lough Arrow, Andresna House boasts a spectacular walled garden and apple orchard and the house is filled with gorgeous art and literature. My room was gorgeous and comfortable, bathroom totally modernized with the very best. My shower was divine. The breakfast starts with fresh yogurt, bread, jam, butter, delicious cheeses, granola, muesli and fruit. I was stuffed before the hot breakfast even came out. Andy made me poached eggs upon request and fresh sausage, bacon and grilled, seasoned vegetables. It was delicious. Today I visit the very beautiful Boyle Abbey and Castle Island on Lough Key. I wish I booked more than one night at this very special place.
I loved everything!

Stunning setting on Lough Arrow. Gardens running down to the lough and beautiful rooms. Andy was a superb host who clearly cared deeply about the environment, and the food was local and delicious.

The house is so tastefully decorated our room was beside the garden & very comfortable.
The property is remote which is lovely on a sunny day but on rainy days not so pleasant to travel the area.

What a gem! Can’t speak highly enough of this beautiful property - it’s off the beaten track but everything about our stay was remarkable. The house is so tastefully restored, the bedrooms and all of the house and surroundings are fabulous and everything was spotless. Breakfast was delicious and we were so well looked after. The view and setting are fabulous also. Would recommend it to anyone!

The setting was beautiful and the house has been restored to an exceptionally high standard with great attention to detail. Our host Andy was very welcoming and provided useful information about the house and it's surroundings. We both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast which was well cooked and extremely tasty. The selection was excellent. We had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend it if you would like a peaceful break. It would have been nice to have been able to stay for an additional night or two. (I just need to ask for mattress details as it was extremely comfortable!)
Nothing springs to mind.

We had a great experience at Andresna House! Andy, the owner, is very kind and helpful. He made us immediately feel welcome. The house is beautiful, impeccably clean & so very comfortable. The gardens are stellar! Breakfast was delicious...one of the very best we've ever had at a B&B. The location is rural.& very scenic...a great place to relax, unwind & chill out in a beautiful accommodation! There are lots of opportunities to go for a nice walk or just enjoy relaxing in front of the lake. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed everything.

Excellent breakfast, beautifully cooked. Lovely stylish house, tasteful, elegant, and well appointed and fantastic views. Loved the coffee machine with niceselection off coffees and teas. Great vibe in the rooms with splendid collection of art and books to view.
Very knowledgeable friendly and helpful host. We had a dog friendly room, spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and useful separate access direct to room from outside courtyard so didn't need to take dog through main house. Very well thought out. Overall lovely place to stay.

Wonderful place, charming lakeside location, great host, excellent breakfast. Recently renovated by a Swiss advertising executive looking for a new challenge, Andresna house offers comfortable rooms with private baths and shared downstairs living rooms 25 minutes south of Sligo and Strandhill beach at what, considering the quality, can only be described as a bargain price. One of the rooms has a dog-friendly layout with a separate garden door to accommodate guests traveling with pets. The house exudes an air of relaxed sophistication, and the art collection which adorns the walls of the house is a treat and includes some real treasures. Breakfast highlights include a choice of five different honeys and a homemade sour dough bread which will linger in your memory all day. This was our first stay here, and definitely won’t be our last.
