We very much enjoyed our stay

We loved this cabin and felt the pictures didn’t do it justice. Check in and communication were easy and great. A few things to keep in mind, there is no air conditioner so the place was HOT during the summer, although there were many fans in the home. We also didn’t have paper towels or napkins. The home is pet friendly which is nice for those with pets, although if you have a dog/cat allergy you may want to skip this one. We did experience a small amount of dog hair (nonetheless the home was as clean as a pet friendly home could be). We would definitely return, possibly in winter next time.

Enjoyed Big Trees!

Checking in was not easy. The lock box was not easy to figure out and we had to drive 20 min down the mountain to get cell service to call the manager. It took us over an hour to finally get in. But The house has a nice smell to it and every room was clean. The kitchen has good supplies to cook with and lots of fun games to play. I do wish the carpets were cleaner. They have a lot of stains on them. Also keep in mind the house has no AC, which makes it impossible to want to hang out during the summer days. But it is in a great location and got to enjoy the outdoors a lot! Overall our stay was decent.

House was very nice has everything you need ! However if you are going there during summertime you should check temperatures, we had to leave early temps inside house was 88 with really no ventilation. House has no air conditioning. They did have fans but the house is situated where it gets no breeze. Understand this heat wave was unusual for this area ! Otherwise would definitely recommend!
The property manager was very accommodating😊

Great place to stay ! Good location for things to do .
Cabin was stocked with very old worn out things ( beds , kitchen , towels and barbecue , Seen lots of use over years but if you can over look it’s a fun place Just bring towels .

The house was located deep in the woods with fabulous windows. Eating meals was like bird watching with all the comforts of home. However my son works high tech & there was absolutely no signals—we were totally cut off from the internet civilization which was sooo relaxing for a us retired folks. But, he kept having to drive down past Arnold to get a signal to check on his work….wifi was spotty at best!

Private and spacious cabin with a pool table. We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely stay again.

We loved this cabin in Camp Connell, a winter wonderland sitting above a small creek in a beautiful setting. Short drive to town, skiing, Calaveras Big Trees SP, etc. It’s a good layout, with two beds and comfortable living upstairs and a pool table and third bedroom downstairs. We’ll be back.

Great spot in Dorrington! Cabin feels like home. Kitchen is nicely stocked with essentials. Easy access, right on the street (no long driveway, just a few steps to the front door). Pool table was a lot of fun. No fenced yard for dog, but plenty of space to roam around on leash.

I’ve been telling my friends and family that this property was the rare find where the property was better in person than in the pics on the app. April was very responsive if I asked any question. It felt like home.

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas at this cabin. It's in a beautiful, private, heavily-wooded neighborhood. The wrap around balconies are a pleasant place to enjoy the scenery. The house had all the essentials you need for your stay. One thing to note is that the stairs are very steep. My dog slipped down them a couple times (she's old). So if you have joint problems or older pups keep that in mind. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay if working in the area or vacationing.

My sister and I enjoyed the location...very quiet with beautiful trees in every direction. We enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the "cabin" very much. Very nice to be able to include our dogs. We would recommend this place to anyone who needs to rest and relax.

This was our third stay at this property, and it was once again wonderful. The location of the cabin is great, easy to find off the highway, and close to a variety of Sierra activities. We hiked at Big Trees, shopped and ate in Murphys, and went up the hill to spend an afternoon at Lake Alpine. The cabin's amenities were as advertised and in good condition. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck, watching the trees and squirrels through the large windows, cooking in the kitchen, and playing pool downstairs. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Cabin is very comfortable and in a great location in BTV. Super quiet and peaceful. Liked the upstairs sitting area around gas stove and also the kitchen. Lots of light and view of trees. Great view of stars at night out on deck. April was very communicative and helpful.

We loved the space, decor, well-stocked kitchen, comfy mattresses. It is a beautiful location and my only recommendations are to create a host book with all info in one place and directions on how to walk into the park…also, the reason fragrance-free laundry detergent is created is because many of us can’t handle strong fragrances. And, finally, fix the tile/edging inside the front door—I left a bit of my skin behind because of it. I do recommend this lodging for the many other reasons I have noted.

Nice place, a little updating is needed. Carpets were stained, no instructions on the thermostat. Not everyone has the same one. That would have been appreciated. Tile is cracked by the front door and I almost fell, socks got caught on the corner.

Lovely house, bathrooms had everything you might need, and usually forget, like q-tips and make up removing wipes.
View from both decks was lovely you. Perfect combination of spacious grounds, but not to isolated.
No air conditioning, but opening the windows overnight and using the ceiling fans in the living rooms and bedrooms kept us cool.
Easy communication with the property caretaker.

Setting is beautiful but cabin needs a good deep cleaning.

Very pleasant cabin, spacious and comfortable. It had everything we needed for a great vacation stay. Highly recommend this cabin in Dorrington. There were six in our group and we were all comfortable.

I was there with my wife and two daughters. Stay was extraordinary, restrooms and bedrooms were clean and nice. My daughters loved the game room downstairs and the view from there. Once on the deck, the sound of the creek is just awesome. We had some snow but the stay was cozy and comfortable. 10 minutes away you have breakfast lunch and dinner. Giant burger is a must visit. Lake behind the giant burger is a good day spot for a hike and picnic. We loved it. Just a smal suggestion: pls fix the tiles just in front of the main door. And we did leave a note for the owners and April , the caretaker.

Beautiful cabin. Had all the amenities that we needed & could have wanted!
Easy drive to Calavaras Big Trees & Murphy's. Great view from back porch & all windows.
The 5 of us had a great time. Thanks........

Enjoyed our stay - having bed/bath on both floors gave my teenager privacy, enjoyed the pool table, BBQ, and serene view of the trees. Kitchen well equipped. Comfy vibe, plenty of pillows and blankets.
3.0
Well stocked kitchen and extremely quiet neighborhood.
Mattresses were trampolines with little support and extremely bouncy.
The house really lacks air flow and on just mild 70s days becomes quite hot and difficult to cool.
The deck upstairs wraps 360* and downstairs 180*. But it is very narrow with a low fence and approx 15 foot drop off the top level. Felt uneasy.
4.0
This is a beautifully furnished home, clean with a wonderful downstairs game room, table, many board games and a pool table which we enjoyed. Easy access to the upstairs where the living room, kitchen and two bedrooms are located (no stairs needed). We loved taking walks around the wrap around deck. It was cold for the first day and a half (this was in June) as the thermostat wasn't working (it needed a new filter) which April came over to install and the gas stove wasn't working because the pilot light was not left on. April's community handyman came over, started the pilot light and instructed us on how to use it which was easy once he explained it to us. This was our first time in a VRBO and the difference as to staying in a hotel is that if something is not quite right you can't just go down to the front desk and have someone come over right away. Beautiful setting and we enjoyed our stay here.

April was so kind and easy to work with. She checked with us on the roads and had a fote going for us when we arrived. The cabin was very clean and we had a blast

Beautiful home or cabin. Would come back with more people and stay longer. Freezing downstairs and can get quite warm upstairs. Internet is terrible. Cable tv was fine.
Overall not a bad location and a good place to getaway

We were not able to make it to the property. Roads closed due to weather. And now I can't receive my booking fee back. Had to find a place at the last minute.
