About this house rental
Overview:
Built in 1880's, my Victorian-era home, is located at the end of a peninsula on a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Massachusetts Bay at the beginning of Hull Village, the historic section of town. The house has stunning views from every window of water filled with sailboats, lobster boats, and kayaks as well as Spinnaker Island, Hull's very own 'Mont-Saint-Michel'. Sunrises are spectacular. By night, the light from Boston Light, built in 1783, the second oldest working lighthouse in the US, and the only lighthouse to still be actively staffed by the US Coast Guard, shines through the windows.
The Space:
Recently refurbished, the Master Bedroom Suite of rooms contains one large bedroom with a king size bed, a separate master bathroom with a twin size day bed and a full trundle bed, desk area, jacuzzi, shower and separate toilet room. There are magnificent water views from every window. The Master Bedroom Suite also is equipped with a coffee maker, hot water heater for making tea, cups, spoons, forks, knifes, napkins, coffee, tea, milk and sugar, wine glasses and a bottle opener, a toaster, a mini-refrigerator, a hairdryer, free wi-fi, bedding, and towels. A continental breakfast is available on request. Other items that may be needed also can be provided on request. The Suite is a great place for a romantic getaway place for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). Come for a night, a weekend, a week or a month!
Guests have full use of the Master Bedroom Suite. Guests also can enjoy a variety of outdoor seating areas located on the wrap around porches overlooking the water on all sides or a private patio area surrounded by a beautiful garden. Access to the Master Bedroom Suite is through the patio doors located at the back of the house or through the home's front door, then passing through the living room area and up large wide staircase to the second floor. A key to the house is available on request.
The Neighborhood and Activities
Sunbathing, swimming and beach-walking are available either a few steps away, immediately in front of my home, in Massachusetts Bay or in the Atlantic Ocean accessible from Nantasket Beach located a mile away via a stunningly beautiful walk along the waterfront, a short bike ride or a very short drive. Ferry service to Boston and Boston Harbor Islands National Park can be found a mile away at Pemburton Point overlooking Hull Gut and Peddocks Island, the site of a WW II army base. Commuter rail service is also easily accessible in the neighboring town of Hingham. A variety of excellent restaurants are located at the other end of town along with the last vestiges of Paragon Park, including arcades, ice cream stores and one of the country's oldest carousels. A variety of clubs and restaurants offer great live entertainment daily all year long. Kayaks also are available for rent in order to explore Massachusetts Bay and Boston Harbor as well as the Weir River Sanctuary. Hiking and exploring are available all along Hull's coastline and on World's End, an undeveloped, waterfront peninsula owned by the Trustees of Reservation located a few miles away in Hingham. Miles of waterfront roads offer easy biking. Hull's Lifesaving Museum is located a short walk away. The beautiful towns of Hingham and Cohasset, Hull's neighbors to the South and East, are short drives away with stunning waterfronts, fine restaurants, historic homes and a Wompatuck State Park and additional Trustees of Reservation properties to explore. Both Plymouth and Cape Cod are easily accessible with a day trip to Martha's Vineyard available via a ferry located an hour and a half drive away.
Getting Around
The house is one mile from ferry service to Boston and the Boston Harbor Islands National Park. The ferry ride is approximately 20 to 25 minutes to the Boston waterfront. Bus service is available from Hingham to the end of Hull's Peninsula and goes right by my home. Commuter rail service is located about 6 miles from the house. A car is very useful for easy access to all local sights and Boston.

Spectacular views from walls of windows overlooking the boats in the bay. The floor plan gave us plenty of room to prepare for our outings without being in one another's way. The water pressure was strong. The bed was comfy and had plenty of pillows and blankets. All was very clean and well kept.
Our Hostess was equally as Charming and Delightful as the home.

the Master bedroom overlooks the water providing a lovely breeze and gorgeous views. very comfortable bed and Huge bedroom bath spa space! Yogurts bars and Keurig Coffee maker made easy morning start. The neighborhood is 100 years old and has typical New England narrow roads. Parking is available, you just need to be good at backing out of the drive. Very friendly hosts and quiet retreat! I'll be back!

The views were awesome. The room wasnt ready when we got there at 530pm. Check in is from 4pm to 10pm. Wasn't aware that we shared this place with owner. Jacuzzi tub was barley big enough for one person and only the 2 side jets worked. The tub annd shower looked like they were from the 1970s. I am allergic to dogs and she had a dog that wasnt disclosed. Spent most of the time sneezing and just miserable. Her bedroom was right next to ours so we had to be quiet. Just a undesirable situation. The speakers on the tv rattled like they were blown. Parking sucked also. Barely enough room to open doors and get out of the vehicle.

We had such a wonderful time. The house I’d beautiful yet cozy. It’s hard to leave your room to sightsee!!! Would stay again!

Excellent, well-maintained home, beautiful master suite overlooking moored pleasure boats, sunrises, moonrises all viewed from the big windows in the room, super comfy king-sized bed, convenient location for rest and relaxation, and every where we needed to go to in Hull. I would definitely stay again and recommend.

We really enjoyed our lovely stay in this suite! The location was perfect, we had a really fun day going to Boston via the ferry (we walked the easy mile to the pier) and it was so nice to come back and relax in the suite. The listing is just as described and the owner messaged after our reservation to make sure we were okay with the accommodations for the 4 of us (since the day bed is in with the master bath). It definitely worked for our short trip. The bay views were wonderful and the suite was peaceful and comfortable.

The home is beautiful situated in a quiet neighborhood. It has breathtaking views of the other islands in the bay. The home is very neat, and the hostess, Kate, goes above and beyond to ensure the cleanliness of the rooms. The beds are very comfortable. The amenities in the rooms are a nice bonus. Our stay was so enjoyable and relaxing, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Boston area!

We had a lovely stay at Kate’s place. It was the perfect spot for a quiet getaway with our family after the hustle and bustle of Christmas.

Beautiful property! Unique location with great views of both the bay and the ocean! It was perfect for our long weekend - it was close to family and friends for us.
Thank you, Kate!

We enjoyed our stay here. The suitr is large. Picture a letter U, that’s long & short. There is the bedroom on the right side of the U with a king size bed, dresser, Smart TV lots of windows - east facing so you see beautiful sunrises in the morning and views of the water. The bottom of the letter U is a short hallway between the two areas. The left side is a room with a day bed, sink, shower bath tub. The toilet is in its own room with a door.
The windows open and give a refreshing breeze. We stayed in August which gave us a couple warm nights. There is a fan in the bedroom. There *is* a window air conditioning unit, which is in the room with the toilet - we never turned it on. It’s about as far from the sleeping area as possible to be so I can’t say how effective it would be at cooling. I don’t think it’s really necessary though as the fan and open windows are perfect. I don’t mind being a touch warm while sleeping.
The TV is a smart TV which means there’s no cable. You’ll need a Netflix account of your own to login or a Prime Tv account.
The driveway and street are quite narrow. Not a complaint or hindrance- just keep in mind if you’re not good at backing in or out of places, this may be tricky.
Kate was a wonderful host. She gave us lots of privacy. The beds were comfortable with nice sheets. There is a dog in the house - a gorgeous pooch - looked like a Bernese mountain dog. Very friendly.
We had a wonderful stay. Would definitely recommend this area. Make sure your GPS is fully charged. Lots of twisty roads - easy to get lost.

Beautiful estate with incredible sunrise and Hingham Bay views. 20 minute walk to XYZ beach. Sunset trip on Fast Ferry to Boston and back to Pemberton Pier was magical. Perfect long weekend mini-vacation destination.

My husband and I stayed with Kate for a few days in July. Her home is gorgeous, with views that go on for miles. Her home was clean, inviting and perfect for a long weekend away. We couldn't be happier with our stay! Thank you again, Kate! We had a great time!

My 2 daughters and I took a road trip from Illinois to the east coast to do some college visits. With that hectic schedule, we thought we would take a couple of nights to just relax and found this beautiful house. It was perfect for a 2 night stay to wind down and take in the beauty of the ocean. The views from this house are amazing and Kate was wonderful from start to finish. I would definitely stay there again if I return to the area.

The view is absolutely amazing. Nice big bed in the master suite. Great place to watch the sun rise in the morning! Kate was pleasant to talk to and well organized. The rooms were very clean. We had a nice walk in Worlds end park and ate seafood at Schooners down the road a bit. Nantasket has a couple of small restaurants that were good! The Weinberg bakery was great. The Saltwater Diner also had a great breakfast! Nice place to go!

The house is just placed perfectly to look over the ocean and the cool breeze comes in the windows, so although the home does not have AC it was very pleasant and cool at night. The porch and court yard are so relaxing. We stayed in the master room and it was so wonderful and relaxing. Parking can be tricky for larger vehicles, but we managed. The area is beautiful to explore. Would recommend this to anyone looking to escape from the everyday. Thank you Kate for opening your home to us!

Kate was a great host, very friendly and efficient. The property was beautiful and exactly as described except that there is a dog in the house (a big puppy) that needed to be behind gates. This should be disclosed for guests who may not be dog lovers. Otherwise, we would definitely recommend this home.

We had an amazing experience at Kate's home! If you're considering booking this property, don't hesitate! The location is spectacular. When you wake up and look out the window, you think you're on a ship! It's so close to the ocean, but offers privacy and seclusion. The accommodations include a lovely soaking tub and sitting area in addition to the main bedroom. Hull is a quiet and remote town where you can choose to do nothing or be adventurous. There were plentiful activities such as hiking, strolling through Hull village, sightseeing, and walking the beach. The restaurants in the area had fantastic fish and other cuisine. We dined outdoors on the patios. We also enjoyed just relaxing in the garden area reading and looking at the sea. It was a perfect antidote for a stressful, COVID world and I left refreshed and rejuvenated! Thank you to our host Kate!

This shared space was so incredibly picturesque! The views from both rooms were simply breathtaking. Kate was very informative about the area as well. There was no TV or AC as listed - however that didn’t impact our stay at all. The weather was cool and there was a beautiful breeze, and and who wants to watch tv when you have those amazing water views through gigantic windows!!!! But I could see the no AC being an issue in the summer. So I would double check with Kate if you are coming in the hotter months to see if it’s available. The jacuzzi tub was a great perk! It’s meant for one person, but it’s doable for a couple. And again...the jacuzzi with a bottle of wine looking at that view...WOW!!

When you say in your listing you have AC in your room. And you get there to find no AC It absolutely Sucks ☹️.

This is a beautiful home, lovingly maintained, and impeccably furnished. The artwork alone is worth the trip. It is not, however, fussy or too formal, but comfortable and inviting. The waterviews include the open ocean, the outer islands of Boston Harbor, Massachusetts Bay, and a peek at the Weir River. The innkeeper was charming and welcoming, yet unintrusive. It was a truly wonderful experience!

Beautiful rooms and gorgeous views! Would certainly stay again
