Beautiful property perfect for our small family

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location.
One of those places you instantly feel at home in.
Although we didn't meet out hosts, they always kept in contact via booking.com.
Very happy, thank you.

The cottage was very comfortable, beautifully furnished and well equipped. We loved the large living/dining area looking out onto the private garden. Rosedale Abbey is the perfect base, with a village shop, cafe, deli and two pubs. There are some great walks and scenery on your doorstep, and the village is well placed to explore the rest of the North York Moors.
We had a slight issue with the hot water timings, but this was easily resolved by emailing the owner - thank you.

We have just returned from our Easter weekend stay at Climbers cottage.
An absolute gem of a cottage in a gorgeous peaceful location.
The hosts are so helpful and the cottage has every thing you need and more.
We will be back

Well equipped and surprisingly spacious cottage in a lovely village. Lots of lovely walks to do in the area and some stunning scenery nearby.
The heating system was controlled remotely by the owners, but they did sort out the hot water very quickly when we asked them to.

Pretty little cottage, perfect size for our family of 3, with everything you need. Village was beautiful, not too busy, but with lovely tea shop and pub right on your doorstep. Location was spot on - everything from seaside to history to forest to Moors trails all within easy reach. Perfect !
Nothing about the house. Be aware that Pubs stop serving food at 8 though.

We had a wonderful stay at Climber's Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable, with everything we needed for self-catering and a lovely decking area to sit and enjoy the garden. Rosedale Abbey is a beautiful, quiet village and a great base to explore the surrounding area. The owners were also very helpful and informative.
Nothing! Everything was great :-)

There was nothing that I didn't like however my partner found the sofa a bit uncomfortable.

Fabulous cottage with everything you need for self catering. High standard throughout. Lovely location in quiet village with shop and a pub with good food. Also a glass making studio. One of the best cottages we have stayed in which was great at the end of a month tour of Scotland, Orkney and Shetland. Would recommend.

Climber's Cottage is a stylish, comfortable and well-designed cottage in the centre of the village. There's great walking (or cycling) on the doorstep and it's a great base for exploring the North York Moors.
The cottage's wifi is not very good and the village has no mobile reception. If you want to get away from it all this is a great place!

the WiFi was not very good, however that could have been the location.

Rosedale has been special to my family for decades and so the chance to stay right in the village was great. The exterior has a lovely cottage look whilst the modern extended kitchen diner lounge was brilliant. Because of the pandemic only one pub; The Coach House; was open but its was very close by and we enjoyed the meals. (booking almost essential) The two shops/cafes are very good and minutes away. Very easy access to lovely walks and the market town of Pickering a short scenic journey away. Many other beautiful villages and coastal towns in easy reach. Loved the table and decking out the back and as we had some lovely weather it was a great place to start the day. Also the bench out the front was a lovely place to while away an hour. Birdsong in the garden was glorious.
Not being able to arrive any earlier than 4 or stay later than 10 on departure. I know this was attributed to pandemic but not convinced the deep clean couldn't be achieved sooner....and I speak as someone who has fully conformed to the rules!

Beautifully kept cottage in a great location. The house was fully equipped and everything was really clean and tidy. The owners next door were really lovely, would definitely stay again 😊

The bifold doors onto the decking were great. Ideal open plan living space with stylish but comfy seating and plenty of options over dining space. It felt like a home from a tv makeover show.
Garden could be better maintained. A radio and or music player would enhance the kitchen space

We had a fantastic stay at the cottage. The location is brilliant - right in the heart of Rosedale Abbey and just a few steps away from a lovely pub and two amazing delis. It's also incredibly peaceful, and we loved hearing the sound of owls out and about in the evenings. The property itself it extremely stylish and a really comfortable and relaxing place to stay. We particularly love its charming exterior and the bifold doors with a spacious garden and view of the moors (which we really appreciated with the fantastic weather last week!) The cottage is a great base for hiking, surfing (in Whitby) and enjoying all the amazing food Yorkshire has to offer and we would recommend to anyone!
