Best hostel in Laos

The family that run the hostel are so incredibly welcoming and helpful. They made my stay here really really lovely. The beds were really comfortable, you can have the air con on whenever you need it, curtains etc. I have never seen such an effort to keep a hostel so beautifully clean!! This was the main thing that stood out - it is just pristine 24/7. It’s also very social, you are guaranteed to meet people doing the Thakek loop here and can set off together in the morning/ get tips from people who have already come back - as well as all of the incredibly helpful information from the family running the hostel.

Everything about this hotel was 10/10. Cleanest hostel I’ve ever visited. The room had good a/c and fans with super spacious and comfortable beds. 100% recommend

Insuperable.

El hostal es precioso, limpísimo, centrico y el personal es super agradable y dispuesto a ayudarte en todo. Nos ayudaron muchisimo a planear la ruta circular de Thakhek y nos guardaron las mochilas y cosas de valor. A la vuelta de la ruta, aunque no nos quedbamos a dormir alli, nos dejaron ducharnos e incluso me ayudaron a coser un agujero que se me había hecho en el equipaje. Es lo mejor que he visto en cuanto a hostales.

Nada. Aunque parece que el precio es algo alto comparado con otros sitios, vale muchisimo la pena quedarse aquí. El servicio que te ofrecen vale mucho más de lo que pagas.

Toller Start/Ziel für Thakhek-Loop, sehr freundlicher Hostelbesitzer!

Perfekter Start für den Thakhek-Loop, der Hostelbesitzer ist sehr freundlich und hilft bei allen Fragen weiter. Sehr saubere Dusche /Toiletten, gemütliche Betten mit Privatsphäre. Rucksäcke können dort gelassen werden, Busbuchungen auch über ihn problemlos. Keine Scheu, wenn online ausgebucht: Es gibt immer noch Betten, wenn ihr einfach vorbeischaut!

Gemütliche Area zum Socialisen fehlt, aber Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen.

Très bonne auberge, parfaite pour partir et revenir de la boucle de Thakhek ! Les lits sont très confortables. L'endroit est très propre notamment les douches et toilettes! Le propriétaire est de bons conseils pour faire la boucle et a même préparé une carte sur google :) L'auberge est très bien située dans le centre et tous les services nécessaires sont disponibles !

Struttura vicinissima al centro, il punto forte è il proprietario: simpatico e super disponibile a fornire consigli e indicazioni. Ostello pulitissimo, il più pulito che ho trovato in un mese di viaggio in Laos

The friendliest nicest place!

Loved everything! I stayed here for two nights, before and after the Thakek loop. Most folks will be in the same boat. It was super clean and comfortable — nice beds and everything. Binh and everyone on staff was super helpful with everything you need before the loop. Bike rental, directions, where to stop, where to stay. They have a Google Maps list with where to go, and they want to make sure you feel comfortable for your trip. He even gave me a ride in the morning. I would definitely stay there again!

Perfect place to start your Thakhek loop

One of the most personal hostel experiences/stays I have had so far. The hosts are a very nice and helpful couple. I've had food poisoning and an accident and they helped me a lot during those days. Thank you again both. :) Also, super clean, organised and reliable hostel. Food is good, too. If you stick to the few rules of the hostel and are respectful, you will have a great stay. Highly recommend the place as a start to your Thakhek loop.

wonderful stay and perfect accommodation before and after your loop experience

Binh and his wife are extremely helpful, very friendly and make you feel very welcome. Everything is very clean and in good condition. I would book a night at Naga Hostel again in a heartbeat.

Very nice hostel

Nice and welcoming hostel. The family host is very kind and helpful. Everything in the hostel is clean. Bathroom and toilets are cleaned every 15 min. Beds in the dormitory are big and comfy. It's a very nice place to stay

Had a great stay! The beds are super comfortable, everything is super clean they even clean the showers every 10 minutes or so (no kidding) the owners are great! Help me find someone to join for the loop as I was a solo traveler and didn’t want to ride on my own, also they are really helpful with all the information you’ll need for the loop. They have a locked room where you can leave your staff while doing the loop, hot showers, walking distance to the night market.

Absolute legend of a guy that runs the joint. You can see he has a passion for the job and takes the opinion of backpackers serious! Place is clean and comfortable, easy to meet people but it's not a party place which is good cause you will do the loop anyways.

Nothing :) only beds could be softer and the garden could turn into something amazing but that's just a bonus tip for them for the future!

Best place to stay in Thakhek

It is extremely clean! And the beds are comfortable. The owner is a really nice and hospitable person. He can inform you on the loop but also on the local means of transportation.

Friendly owner, one of the cleanest hostels I ever stayed in (showers are cleaned after every use), they don’t try to charge you bus tickets and get a percentage, they just tell you to go to the bus station… so only good things!

Great hosts and location

Great hosts, very relaxed atmosphere. You can purchase breakfast here, simple but good. Helpful information on how to manage the Loop, and also for travelers choosing not to go by motorbike. Cleanest hostel ever, cleaning occurs often during the day. Only a couple of blocks to several food places, markets or restaurants.

Another toilet would be good.

100/10 star experience

You must stay here during your time in Thakhek. Binh and Trang work so hard to make this a perfect hostel. Not only is Naga literally the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed at, but it smells amazing, has great food, beds are spacious and private and comfy, the social atmosphere is awesome for the quiet nature of Thakhek (you will meet lots of people doing the loop), it has a perfect location, and they offer sooooo much help with organizing any travel and give so much information and assistance with the loop. Binh went out of his way for us so many times - we had an accident in our group and he made sure we were always taken care of. I have nothing but good things to say about my 7 night stay here, we will be coming back one day to visit.

Naga was one of the best and cleanest hostels I stayed in. The owners are super nice and go above and beyond with everything you need if you want to go on the loop. And even afterwards the owner gave me some tipps and help via Whatsapp.
