About this house rental

Energy efficient house with all the goodies, large screen internet 3D TV, gas fireplace in the family room. Deck with gas grill. Open floor plan with modern kitchen that has gas appliances, dishwasher, extra large fridge, granite counters, and bar top with stools. Large bedrooms, pool table in the basement rec room with wet bar and undercounter fridge. Great for entertaining.

Check in 4pm, check out at 10am, as we have to prepare the house for our next guests. Thank You!

This place was perfect for our group of 10 visiting the DC area. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone to spread out comfortably. The house is located 2 minutes from the Huntington metro station, so we parked there every morning and then rode the metrorail to anywhere we wanted to go. Very easy and convenient! Communication with Larry was prompt whenever we needed anything.

3 brothers and their spouses traveled to DC on a Bucket List trip for the oldest brother who is a Vietnam Veteran. We wanted to get away from the rat race but still enjoy all of the sites that we wanted to go to (Arlington, Mount Vernon, The Mall and the Memorials.) Used the Metro and the bus to get around and it was perfect! Came back each night and rest well outside of the noise and confusion and woke each morning to coffee on the quite patio and planned out day. The house was amazing and quite and we enjoyed it very much! Thank you Larry!

This home was great for our stay. We were able to feel easily at home. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything to cook and serve meals with. Host quickly answered my questions, and put us at ease.

We rented the property to celebrate a graduation. We had relatives coming from 4 different states, age range from 21-80 years of age. I arrived on a Wednesday as an advance party like we normally do. Upon arriving, I was told by the owner that the upstairs air condition was not working. He assured me that the repair man was coming on Thursday to repair the air condition, due to a delayed part, Someone had to remain at the residence to let the repair man inside to see if the air condition was functioning properly after the repair. Thursday was supposedly be our sightseeing day with the other relatives who were elderly and couldn't navigate the traffic in the city. The repairman didn't finished until 7:00 pm, but it was worth the wait because we were unable to sleep in the upstairs bedrooms due to the heat. My wife discovered that the some of the linen needed washing. They started washing the linen on the beds and the washing machine started leaking to the point that water was dripping in the basement from the 1st floor laundry room. I contacted the owner and he advised that he had repaired the washing machine prior to our arrival. The owner responded on Wednesday but was unable to fix the problem. There were obvious signs indicating that someone was still occupying the residence on a daily basis due to personal items inside and outside the residence. Other than that the stay was enjoyable for the occasion.

This was such an ideal location for us and the perfect house for our group of 11! We brought our homeschool group for a DC trip and couldn’t have found a better place. Close to the metro, great sleeping spaces. There are two tables that up to 12 people could eat at. The beds were so comfortable. Larry was great with communication. Will definitely recommend for future groups.

Great location for DMV area and activities. METRO, bus, easy access to 495/95/395/295 Reagan National airport and more. Lyft and Uber access easily obtained. Food deliveries without a problem. Hints from owner on using mapping apps worked well. Many positive comments on comfortable beds. Location of main floor bedroom and bath very helpful for mobility challenged individual. Home layout provided space for those who had to "work from home" during visit. Watching the black squirrel activity from windows and deck was fun for our toddler. Very quick response from owner to text messages. Provided the Overall rating of 4 given as the kitchen had everything but would suggest better organization and some small home maintenance chores be accomplished throughout the house. Thanks for sharing your home.

Beautiful! The house was everything we hoped for. The bedroom and bathroom on the main floor was really helpful since I use a walker. I highly recommend it to anyone that can't do stairs! The kitchen was fully equiped. It was close to our family wedding. I did miss watching the news......

We came for a family wedding along with DC sightseeing! This house was perfect for our family. Plenty of room and the host was very responsive to all our questions! Great house and would definitely stay again if we come back!

Our group of friends really enjoyed our stay at this house! It had plenty of room and the location was perfect for us and the things we wanted to do. Some of the furnishings ( kitchen chairs ) are showing lots of wear but didn’t stop us from using them😁

Everything with this stay went as expected and representation of the property is accurate. This property is in a very quiet neighborhood and close to major routes. We did have a few questions to the manager during the stay and he was very responsive via text.

My husband, myself, and several friends were in the DC area for a funeral. It was so nice to have a space large enough for everyone to gather, share memories, but still do their own thing. This property housed my family including in-laws and nieces for 6 nights on our trip to DC and did not disappoint. House itself was roomy and clean...more than spacious enough for our group of 9 with enough bathrooms to support our needs as well. It is located in a nice part of Alexandria not too far from the metro station. Less than 1 mile walk but there is a bus stop pickup right around the corner so no need. Alexandria is just a short metro rail trip from the National Mall area, location of this house was definitely ideal for us. Host was available for questions but not over bearing allowing us to enjoy our stay. Well worth the experience

I loved the home. The location was perfect. Deer, birds, close to stores and Metro, and quiet neighborhood. The only problems were that we were expecting 4 bathrooms (one was an on-suite) and one was locked and assumed to be under construction. That left 2 bathrooms for 8 people. NOT FUN. Also, when booking this VRBO home, we were under the impression that we were the only ones using this property, but there were construction workers on site. I appreciate that some work needs to be done in order to improve the property. But making us park in the street for two nights, having us walk across the muddy lawn and down inclines just to get to the house (hauling luggage and children) was not my idea of a quiet comfy week. I have difficulty with stairs and inclines/declines due to MS. This made the fact that the driveway was unusable for two days/nights all the more difficult. With a 3 month notice, couldn't the driveway be done another time???

We had a group of 13 and this home had all the room (and rooms!) we needed. There were plenty of places for large groups throughout the home. The kids enjoyed the pool table and downstairs living room that gave them space away from the grownups.

We had a wonderful family Christmas! The host was very thoughtful and put up a Christmas tree for us. VERY comfortable beds. The house was huge! We appreciated the warnings of tricky driveway and steep steps to entrances. Thank goodness for the garage entrance! There were some maintenance issues but the host was responsive. Odd orientation of home (front entry was behind the house.) First impression was “how beautiful” but found garage and closets and laundry room and kitchen cabinets/drawers were cluttered with old stuff and disorganized. The house was simply showing its age, but with some additional attention (window blinds, loose faucets, crooked lights fixtures, a few small drywall patches, and clearing out of what appeared to be stuff left over from owner or guests) it could be perfect. The location was awesome. Even saw a few deer! Overall I would highly recommend this property. Thank you for making our Christmas such a special one.

Our group had quite a few requests and the owner was very communicative and accommodating! There was a pack and play and high chair for friends that visited with friends. There was plenty of space for a big group to spread out. Overall, we had a lovely experience!

My extended family, group of 10, stayed this summer for a long weekend. The location met our needs with plenty of space and a great location with easy access to DC via car or train (5 minutes to station). The house could be a premier spot with some upgrades, both big and small.

The home is nice and large with ample space for our group. We loved that it was close to the metro. I am a little OCD and was a little disappointed in the amount of the owners stuff in the garage, closet and drawers. The kitchen was cluttered. However, it did not take away from our enjoyment.

Overall I would stay there again for sure. Convenient to get to DC. The only negative I would say is there needs to be attention to detail. As someone who has been in the hospitality industry for my entire life, I notice everything. A fresh coat of paint and organization of kitchen and living room would go a long way to make this place 5 stars.

The home was large enough for our family of 10 adults and the beds were comfortable. It was not as clean and clutter free as we would prefer. The kitchen was a bit disorganized but we eventually found everything that we needed. Be careful flushing the toilets. You have to hold the handle down the entire time. I would suggest to Larry that he change out the main floor toilet. The home was close to the Metro which was a big plus for us. Sometimes we just walked to the metro station. It is located in a very safe neighborhood and the home is very private being off the road. It would be helpful if there was a place to turn around in the driveway. With three cars we used up all of the driveway space and had to back in or out of a very long curved driveway. Which was fine for us but that might be difficult for somebody else. We had a wonderful week in Alexandria and this house made that possible.

The pictures don't do it justice and it is larger than expected. Plenty of room for 7 people and the pool table was a hit. Great location for a family attending a local wedding at Belle Haven CC as well as driving access to Old Town Alexandria.
