4.0 / 5.0
Location 1 block away from the central place.
Spacious room.
High speed internet.
Smart tv
Breakfast is very thin one egg, one cube of butter and a tea spoon of marmalade.
Although price is labeled in usd they charge in PEN at a higher rate than the market rate. Had to haggle to pay the fair price.

Nice terras on the roof

I really liked this hostel. The staff were friendly and always available. The upstairs bar is quite nice with a long happy hour. The showers were hot and the bathroom was always clean. They let us shower just before our night bus even though we had checked out which was amazing. The locations is also quite convenient.
The only problem was where our room was located. The street is quite noisy right outside the window but otherwise not really that bad.

Breakfast was good, location great and staff very helpful.

Erica who worked reception went above and beyond with great customer service, she made breakfast for us when we had to leave early in the morning, we were able to store our bags there, and she gave us information on tours. The room is simple but clean, with a hot shower. The dog Maya is really cute. The location is unbeatable, right next to the plaza de armas. Would stay here again when in Arequipa.

Right next to Plaza de Armas. Very friendly and helpful staff. They can help you with booking tours etc. Flexible with check- in time. I arrived early in the morning and I could have my room. Hot shower. and you can have as much coffe as you like for breakfast.
I recommend this place!!
Only one egg for breakfast and very little butter for 2 bread.

Perfect location, nice rooftop, decent breakfast, clean room, clean public bathroom with strong hot shower.
No closet in the room.

Perfect location near main square, close to everything. Clean room and restroom. Cozy bed. Always has hot water for shower.
Nice terrace for decent breakfast.
Reception are nice and helpful.
The bar on roof top is a little loud at night. But they will stop before 10pm.

Excellent location, for a 2 min walk from the main square. Extremely kind, flexible and helpful staff. Hot shower at any part of the day. The tour they organised was also excellent.
Wifi connection was poor sometimes. Also, it can get a bit noisy sometimes.

location, cleanliness
both happy hour and breakfast were odd experiences; the employees seemed to have no idea what they were supposed to do. for $80 per night it seems strange that no towels were provided.

Very central location and really helpful staff. Kindly allowed us to switch rooms initially when needed. Very friendly dog and consistently hot showers.
Have to ring the doorbell to get in. Not such a problem for us but may wake up light sleepers.

Located in a great location, just a block from the Plaza de Armas. HOT water with a good water pressure. Comfortable bed. Oh and, the cutest dog.
3.5 / 5.0
The location is very central. We got a room on the inside court so we were not impacted by the noise from the street. The room was very basic but clean. Staff could speak english without problems and was very available. We could leave our bags at the hotel while we were doing our 2 days Colca Canyon Tour.
We had a private room with private bathroom. The window of the room could not be closed so as soon as the sun went down it was very very cold in the room (we were there in winter time - july)
4.0 / 5.0
Very central, easy to get to via taxi from the bus station and close to central needs.
Breakfast isnt big, but it's nice quality.
We did get upgraded due to some maintenance work going on, which gave a better room and private bathroom. However the shared bathrooms were of a high standard.
Little confusion between the first staff member we spoke to and the reserved price on booking.com, but managed to work this out.
Just need to ensure you have cash for payments.

Friendly staff, great location, they help us with tour to Colca. Cañon
Room was run down, pictures are not accurate, there was a hole in bathroom to the outside (you could see outside).

The attention was wonderful, they have to you a lot of advices and help you to enjoy the city.
The internet service is so poor

Location is very good and staff is kind and helpful. Rooms are comfy, clean with decent hot shower.
In order to get in, you need to ring a bell (day and night). Day time is ok, but night can disturb light sleepers, with the bell noise and stuff running down the stairs to open the door. Also some rooms are below the family home, so can be a bit noisy no insulation for noise.

Location is the best of the hostal. It is two blocks away from Plaza de Armas. It was always clean, we had shared bathroom and it was always clean and big. It has a nice rooftop with a view of volcanos.
Room is very basic, it only has the beds and a little bin for the garbage, it doesn't have where to put or hang your stuff. I think the price is expensive knowing that it has shared bathroom and room is very basic (we took other hostals in Peru for the same price with much more confortable rooms and private toilet).
Staff seems kind, but at the end they did not gave us good recommendations and didn't help us to search for a bus we needed.

This is a really great hostel - great central location, very good price, good breakfast and I loved the rooftop bar. The showers were very hot (and consistently!) and we were able to store luggage during Colca Canyon. Staff really helpful and accommodating.
The only issue I have is that the dog pees in the bathroom and sometimes it isn’t cleaned up for a while.

Great hostel, very well located, only 2-3 min away from the center. Nice sunny terrace on top to enjoy the breakfast. Possible to book tours with the hostel.
Very nice hosts! The day we were leaving my girlfriend got a food poisoning, they gave us a room for free (we had checked out) for her to rest. We finally ended up staying one more night. They help us calling the bus company to try to postpone our bus ride. They also help us to get to the doctor the next.
I could not recommend more. Thanks guys!

A little bit smelly from the drains in the toilets, but if you close the bathroom door is ok.

Friendliness of staff. Location to main square. Balconies. Laundry service, they even folded them!
5.0 / 5.0
The location is just one block from the main square. The staff speaks English and they helped us to organise trips and transfers.
Anyway, the price for staying, in the city centre, pays off.
The breakfast was a little bit poor. If you like coffee with milk, you have to pay extras for milk, or if you want to have more jam, they don't give you.

the price is unbeatable and the staff is really nice. they offer a lot of tours and the Hostal is one block from the main square.
the hostel is realativly loud so if you want to sleep early cause your going on a tour (pick up at 3) there is loud music.
also they have a hostel dog and he peed into the bathroom twice when we were there.
