The location of the property was poor, in a run down area with drugs being dealt behind property, definitely not suitable for families.

excellent location, house is gorgeous with lots of lovely vintage styling, very comfortable beds and pillows. Big fluffy towels, fully functional kitchen including some fabulous huge mugs. nice outdoor space..
The Stairs ! absolute nightmare with our elderly dog that we literally had to carry up and down all weekend. If there was a photo it would help as these stairs are really steep and anyone who had mobility issues would struggle, including toddlers.
parking is available on the street but you have to look for it.

Nicely furnished with all necessary amenities.

Location was good. Not a long walk to the old town, or any of the main tourist attractions. Very useful to have Aldi and a pizza takeaway opposite.
Interior of the property was generally nicely decorated and furnished and the sofa and beds were comfortable.
Overpriced property for the following reasons:
4 out of 5 of us fell down the incredibly steep stairs during our stay. This included my four year old daughter. me and my husband and my husbands parents! Took a couple of weeks after the holiday to heal up damage! Just not a comfortable space to stay in for a holiday home, considering the difficulty in actually manoeuvring from room to room!
Toilet seat wonky on our arrival. Contacted management company who did come round and try to fix but couldn’t so stayed like that for the rest of our stay.
Even though we were staying a whole week, the management company ran no washing service so our towels and poultry one tea towel provided got pretty dirty during our stay.
Only one set of keys was not great, meant that our group could not do independent activities away from the house as easily as we would have liked.
Garden needs to be improved. Tired looking furniture and dangerous tiles, not as tidy as it should be for a holiday home.
View of basement wall and stairs very unattractive from dining room. Could do with an overhaul. Front of house could be made more attractive and welcoming.
Very lacking in on-street parking. Free to park, but hard to get a space. The road the accommodation is in was a little shady, with a man being arrested out of one of the properties a few doors down during our stay, we witnessed this whilst seated in the dining space.

Excellent location, good practical layout given space, charming decor, clean and had everything we needed for a short family stay.
Stairs were steep but just about ok.

Close to the beach, cafes, bars and seafront.
Extremely comfortable beds.
Plenty of space for the 4 of use.
All TV channels for the teenagers.
Compact kitchen with everything needed including large fridge and microwave.
Garden needs a little attention. Overgrown at the moment. Inadequate outside seating.
No wardrobes or drawers in the bedrooms.

The property was a 10 minute walk to the nearest beach.
I would not recommend staying at Dane Hill. We arrived at the house a good 3 hours after check in time to find an uncleaned house - beds had been slept in, food left out, generally gross. With coronarvirus being our present reality and having just come from the beach on one of the hottest days of the year, this was completely unacceptable. After having to call the agents because of a 'mix up' we then proceed to wait two and a half hours in the dirty property - half an hour from the cleaner to arrive and two hours to clean. While this meant that at least the property had finally been cleaned, by then we had wasted two hours of our holiday time and consequently missed our dinner reservation.
Our compensation? £30 off the £90 cleaning fee. That doesn't really cut it in normal circumstances, let alone during coronavirus. No further good will offering was provided for the stress and time wasted, including the time wasted after the trip trying to get in contact with them to address this further. While we manage to get through to the company initially and the guy on the other end was helpful enough, we were never given the luxury of speaking to his boss who was 'too busy' to deal with us.
The house itself is fine if a bit cramped but would not recommend the property to anyone based on the horrendous service we received - this is not OK during coronavirus. It is entirely ridiculous that this hasn't been better handled - thoroughly disappointed.

Everything else, Aldi next door, bus stop literally across the road, very central
Steep stairs but tricky
