Superb, excellent value, beautiful location, a wonderful stay.

Lovely location, well equipped room and comfortable bed. sally was extremely helpful from the booking onwards and was a joy as a host. Chatty, informative and great company. Food was excellent and she message beforehand to let us local pub shut down and offered an evening meal.

Perfect

Sally is an amazing host. Very attentive to our needs and accommodating. Super helpful and friendly. Her home is clean and beautiful. The are is peaceful. Everything we were looking for, for a break away .

I wish we had been early enough to enjoy one of Sally's evening meals.

Beautiful rural Devon in hamlet setting. Too small to be called a village. Sally is a very interesting character to chat with.

Could have done with a bit of guests space in the bathroom for guest's ablution equipment.

A home from home and perfect for walking the Two Moors Way.

Host made extra efforts to meet my dietary requirements alongside a very early start. Sally also kindly kept hold of my backpack to collect at a later time to save me carrying it for the onward part of my journey. Really flexible and thoughtful.

Woderful location, great place to stay.

Only stayed the one night but loved Church View House. Sally the proprietor is a great host and made me feel most welcome. My double room was very comfortable and spacious, breakfast the following morning was delicious. The location is very scenic and I would imagine if you are a walker that it is a great base to use to discover the North Devon countryside. The local pub, literally across the road, is unfortunately closed at the moment, but hopefully that will change as the local community are in the process of buying it- wishing them every success.

Stay in centre of picture postcard village

Right in the middle of Drewsteignton. Charming village, fortunately protected from visiting coach parties by a maze of narrow lanes. Interior of village pub is pretty much unchanged since the early 20th century. Handy for Castle Drogo. Wonderful walks for the energetic, try the loop out to Castle Drogo, then along the Teign to Fingle Bridge, and back. Host (Sally) is friendly and knowledgeable. Good choice of breakfast.

Room only just big enough for two. Bathroom shared with host. To be fair, the price reflects this. Wifi works as well as can be expected in a village with no broadband.

Lovely stay in this gorgeous village

Sally is a wonderful host and great company, kindly showed us around and cooked a delicious full English breakfast in the mornings.

Small room but very well equipped with a great variety of teas and coffee in the room as well as a microwave.

Short notice break booked very late. Very enjoyable.

The small double room was ok for my partner and myself with our dogs. Cooked English breakfast was good. Personalised service.

Lovely stay and short distance from trekking routes

Sally was a very welcoming host from day 1. She is friendly and very helpful, giving suggestions of what to do and places to see. She offered a friendly atmosphere and a good chat. Lovely host.

Nothing really. Breakfast was good. It took a bit of getting used to driving on the narrow roads.

Fantastic stay

Had a fantastic stay. The room was super comfy, everything was very clean and it had plenty of nice touches like a good selection of teas, kettle and a fridge in the room. Sally was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. Beautiful location in a lovely village with a nice pub, plenty of free parking and close to castle Drogo and other attractions.

B and B on the Moor.

Our hosts were welcoming and friendly. Coffee and tea in the room with milk, water and biscuits. Sally even made me some fresh gluten free bread. Amazing hosts.

The only less than perfect thing was sharing the bathroom with the hosts, but it wasn't what you would call a hardship. They were gracious and friendly.

Very enjoyable stay with wonderful hosts

Great location right in the middle of the village opposite the Church, the Drewe Arms pub and the village Post office. Our room is bright and airy. We enjoyed full English breakfast and a super delicious Italian dinner. Drewsteignton is a great place to stay to explore north Dartmoor - there are so many interesting sights and nice walks around the area. Thanks Sally for the recommendation and for lending us the booklet. We enjoyed our 3 nights stay very much and hope we will be back again soon.

Nice Village B&B

We stayed overnight on our way to Cornwall, Nicola cooked us a lovely Italian meal with wine and coffee with sambuca to finish it was very reasonable at £15. Both he and Sally were great company and attentive hosts, we spent a pleasant evening eating and chatting. We will be returning if ever we are in Devon.

We enjoyed our stay, it was easy to find even though the room is on the main route thro the village it was very quiet.
