Loved our stay. And true to its name there were fantails everywhere. The native busy around the house is amazing, and the adjoining park was such fun for the kids to freely run around. Would love to come back and explore the area more

really nice Bach, had everything we needed. Good sized fully fenced section for our 2 dogs to run around. would recommend this place to family and friends. Only one complaint, the people before us put the dishes away dirty so we had to wash them before use.

Holiday by the lake
The weather was average but the house was loaded with games/books/Winter Olympics to keep us entertained! Great space for 7 adults and 1 toddler, I didn’t feel like we were tripping over each other. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Booked again already
Tranquil spot that you won't want to leave. Other than for a short walk at the blue lake, followed by coffee at airstream.

It was what we were after - away from the hustle and bustle, beautiful scenery, lots of native bird life - everything we needed at the bach, beautiful lakes and walks and lots of information at the bach for choice of activities/entertainment.

Good for family group
An easy single level dwelling.
Fidgety fantail was suitable for our adult family group .
I could imagine it also suitable for family with young children as it leads onto a park area.
We would stay again .

Lovely holiday home
My family and I really enjoyed out stay at Fidgety Fantail. Good sized home, nice and clean, plenty of space for the kids to run around outside and was great to be able to bring our dog on holiday with us. So relaxing sitting out on the deck. Peaceful and quiet location, close to the lake and really doesnt feel to far away from Rotorua. Owners were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway.

Great location. Quiet and peaceful
Beds were comfortable but property could have been a bit cleaner. Oven and some cooking utensils had to be cleaned before they could be used but overall good value for money . Would go there again as it’s an awesome location.

Great Weekend Away
We enjoyed a great weekend break at the Fidgety Fantail. After a false start, a double booked weekend, Martin the owner helped us reschedule. When we finally made it we had a great weekend. We got the family out on the kayaks and generally just chilled out. The highlight would have had to be sitting on the deck with a beer counting the Kereru. Fantastic place and location.

Perfect Getaway!
The house was perfectly setup for our two families each with a young child. The location is stunning and despite the weather being a bit average we had an amazing time. Good comms from the hosts and loved the fact that the fridge was a really good size for a Bach. Five stars!

Hiking trip
We used this gem as a base for our hiking trip in Rotorua. A phenomenal spot for a group. Highly recommend!

fantail property
Very average property with some things needing attention. Stove front elements never get hot enough. Outside shower is very open for winter conditions and shower pours water rather than sprays. I think that for summer conditions the property would be great, however for winter/spring with ice on deck (which I slipped over on) and outside bunkhouse facilities being exposed not so good. the house itself is fine although there is a lack of utensils.

Perfect for a getaway!
We had four adults and two teenage children. This place is perfect for families of all ages! The grounds, facilities, rooms are awesome!! 15 minutes drive from amenities, 1 minute from the lake.
I assumed the house was on the lake due to the photos and the kayak availability so I would recommend the advert be updated to not mislead. If I have missed that in the description, please disregard what I just said.
I still give this place 5 stars!!!!!
