Almost lost for words, it was genuinely amazing.

Have stayed here quite a few times now - always excellent, great location and very high standard of accommodation. The staff are lovely.

The hotel room was immaculate, everything shone in the bathroom! We had an upgrade, it was a beautiful room. Staff very attentive, lovely food, great location.
The shower heads were too heavy so it hung down and was difficult to get the shower to spray further out.
4.3
Great location with caring staff. Attention to detail in the restaurant. Lovely gardens.

Good location. Lovely view.
Room was very warm.

Very good
Air conditioning in the bedroom as on 3rd floor very hot and had to have the fan on at all times.
4.3
The postion of the hotel was excellent. Nice bar overlooking the lawns and sea The room was ok
Very overpriced for what it is be aware they charge per person not per room. The dining arrangements leave a lot to be desired so old school. Be prepared to spend an hour having breakfast if you want to use the main dining room in the evening its jacket and tie only. No wonder the average age if clientele is 75-+ The pool and evening entertainment the claim is actually in the Victoria next door

We liked everything about the hotel, could not fault it. It was excellent from the location, room and staff.

Had an upgrade on arrival to a dual aspect room which had lovely views of the garden and across the cricket field to the town. Immaculate hotel. Beautiful decor, spotless, gorgeous gardens, plenty of parking at all times. Staff all friendly and very helpful. Relaxed atmosphere. Hotel just across road from beach. Breakfast excellent. Pool at sister hotel next door is stunning.
The only one very small thing was that it was lovely weather during this stay, very hot and aircon in the bedroom would have been a wonderful bonus which would have made sleeping more comfortable. A fan was supplied which did help but it was very hot in the room. There was aircon in some of the other areas in the hotel which was very relaxing. This is just a very small point and I appreciate that we were lucky to gave such wonderful weather.

service at evening dinner felt a little rushed we we would have preferred a few more minutes between courses.

The beautiful location in Sidmouth and the very friendly and helpful employees in the hotel. A 10 for their hospitality 👏🏻👏🏻
The hotel is comfortable, but with exception of the bathroom very old fashioned with small rooms for a high price. It seems also to be a hotel for very old people.

Food and restaurant service was good.
Despite booking in plenty of time and requesting adjacent rooms for a vulnerable relative, this was not honoured. We asked to speak to the manager. We were promised that they would get back to us. This did not happen. At checkout we received a verbal apology admitting it was their fault with no compensation. If you were unable to accomodate us in the way that we requested, we should have had the opportunity to go elsewhere. We were on separate floors which meant we were very much inconvenienced. We were expecting a fridge which was only available in one of the rooms allocated. Our room was very hot and it appeared that the only way to cool it down was to open the windows.

Location was excellent. Rooms well decorated. All clean.
Having paid for a deluxe room, we would have expected a balcony - which many of the rooms at the same price did have. Not sure if this is because we booked via booking.com and got the entry level for that standard of room?

The Belmont bed was as good as their sister hotel in Barnstaple, and the service was equally impeccable. The ambiance was one of comfortable luxury.
Shame the value for money was not as good as the Imperial in Barnstaple. I guess location is everything!

Breakfast was hot and perfect

It was a perfect room for my overnight stay as I was unable to stay with a poorly cousin who lives in Sidmouth. Beautiful room. Very comfortable bed. Superb shower safely over bath for an 85 year old!
Only downside was the room was a bit warm and I slept on top of the duvet. A separate sheet would have been useful to cover. However at about 3 in the morning I needed the warmth of the duvet!
