About this house rental
Our lovely lakefront home which takes full advantage of a stunning lake setting with floor to ceiling windows is the ideal location for a family reunion, girls weekend, or family getaway. New in 2021 - dock, back deck, front porch, and queen and king size beds.
This spectacular home with over 4000 sq. ft. of living space comfortably sleeps 12. The open living concept with stunning bamboo flooring is perfect for sharing time with the family while preparing meals and appreciating the lake view. Read a good book in front of the living room's cozy electric fireplace. The kitchen features a large stove with a main oven and small side broiler, a massive refrigerator (new in 2018) and freezer, a dishwasher, and a breakfast bar. The combined dining space seats 12. The breakfast bar seats an additional 3 people. The main floor features a king bedroom (new bed in 2021) with a gorgeous view of the lake and an electric fireplace. This king bedroom shares a jack and jill bathroom with a queen bedroom that also serves as an office. There is an additional queen master (new bed in 2021) on the main level.
Early risers will love drinking coffee on the new (in 2021) spacious deck while viewing the sunrise over the trees. The deck has multiple seating areas (new furniture in 2021), great for a meal, sunbathing, or roasting marshmallows by the fire pit. The deck also features a propane grill. Propane availability is not guaranteed.
The lower level is a vacationer's dream. There is a fully-equipped bar area (BYOB), a Pacman game that will enthrall the kids and bring back fond memories for those who are still kids at heart, and a spacious, comfortable family room with a queen sleeper and a view of the lake. The family room boasts a massive 55" flatscreen tv with a dvd player. Step out the sliding glass doors to enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot tub (installed in 2018) which sits undercover so can be enjoyed during inclement weather and has a view of the lake. The lower level also has a queen master with a cool semi-circular shower and a bedroom with bunk beds that has access to a hall bathroom.
The property sits on a lovely lot and a half and so provides all the privacy you could want. Idle your time away while swaying in the hammock or swinging on the rope swing. 122' of lake front provides you with easy access to the water. The dock, new in 2021, has a step down entry for lake access and launching the kayaks or the paddle boat which are available in season. Relax on the new dock to the sounds of the lake where you might even be paid a visit by the resident Lake of the Woods swans! Fishing gear is available.

Security is never an issue as all visitors are checked in at security. Visit the Saturday morning flea market and make sure to plan for Sunday brunch at the clubhouse. The Chancellorsville and Wilderness Battlefield Civil War sites are just minutes away. There is easy access to shopping and restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Seitz’s home! We had plenty of room for our group. We loved being right in the lake so we could take out the kayaks and paddle boat. Everything was just as described. Communication was easy. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking.

This beautiful, well equipped home is set on a quiet cove. The waterfront is perfect for relaxing on one of the rockers or swimming. Having kayaks available added to our fun! The house was perfect for our family group of three generations. The owner is very responsive to questions or issues that may arise. We can’t wait to return to this peaceful community and this incredible lakeside home.

This was our 2nd stay at this beautiful home on the lake and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed the nice views of trees and lake from inside the house and out!

We loved our time here! The house is great for our needs of 2 families (4 adults and 5 kids) plenty of space and bathrooms for everyone! The outside areas have everything you need, even a hammock! We had 1 issue early on in our stay and the owner resolved the issue expediently and was very accommodating! The owner had excellent communication during the entire process. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely vacation home. Plenty of room for everyone and a wonderful lake view! We appreciated that there were kayaks/innertubes/a pedal boat/and hot tub available for our use. The community clubhouse
was close by and offered a pool and beach that were perfect for our little ones. Any issues were addressed by the owner in a timely manner. Highly recommend this rental!

Our host was amazing, quick and easy to get in touch with before and during our trip. The property is so beautiful, updated, accommodating place we have stayed. All of our family were comfortable in this spacious home. It is located close to a grocery and several eating establishments everything else included in this home. Love this property!

Su's house was the perfect gathering spot for friends as we celebrated a wedding nearby. Beautifully, thoughtfully appointed with everything we could need, and a setting that soothed the minute we walked in the door. My only regret is not having more time there! We'll be back. Thank you!!!

What a superb property for our family gathering for thanksgiving. No detail missed by the wonderful owner. Home accommodated our 10 gatherers with room to spare. Kitchen fully stocked with cookware, etc. very nice linens provided for bath and bed. recreation opportunities at the home were terrific--we were even able to use owner's kayaks to kayak on their lovely lake right at the back of their property. highly recommend this property. One would certainly not be disappointed. Owner Su was so helpful and accommodating in responding to messages promptly and to ensure our comfort and enjoyment!

We had a wonderful time during our girls fall getaway at this lovely house. The host was very helpful and gave us great recommendations on things to do in area. The house was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed the outdoor deck on the lake in the evenings when we returned.
I would definitely recommend this home for a relaxing, fun vacation!

LOTS of room, plenty of areas for many groups to congregate, a fully stocked kitchen, a wonderful bar area downstairs. Add to all that a hot tub and you have an amazing rental.
BUT, when you go to the dock, you WILL know you made the right decision to rent this home. It's absolutely incredible. Beautiful views, plenty of room to spread out, and very relaxing!

The home was exactly as described! Plenty of room! Su was awesome to work with, always communicative. We honestly had zero issues. Well stocked home and what wasn’t there we could get at store across the street. The fridge was to die for! Thank you so much!

The property was beautiful and everything was as described! We had a lovely end of summer vacation in this home. It was the perfect home to host family and friends after a family memorial service near by.
The only thing that could have been better was if we had been able to use the boat/jet skis.
We hope we will be able to return to this house in different seasons to make more memories. You really felt like the owners wanted to generously share their home.

We had a wonderful stay! The lake is beautiful, the house was as described.
Kids loved the swing & hammock. We all enjoyed the kayaks daily. Kids loved their rooms.
We had plenty of space for all 7 of us.
We all enjoyed sitting lake side for sunrise. Great set up for watching the kids in the water too.

Stayed for a week with my spouse and 3 children. We really enjoyed our stay. The host was super responsive for any questions we had.
The house was huge, it could comfortably hold double our group size and has plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms for everyone to have privacy. It was very clean. TONS of room to hang out outside between the decks, pier, covered patio, etc. A lot of space inside to gather as well.
The kitchen had everything you could want to cook a large meal. Pots, pans, knives, dishes, etc were all in great shape.
We planned a few day trips - Luray Caverns, Kings Dominion, and Monticello/Charlottesville. All were about an hour away, nice easy drives on back roads. The trips were fun but we actually wished we spent more time at the house.
The lake was beautiful and very clean for swimming. We spent an entire day in the lake / backyard playing in the lake and hot tub. It's very shallow where you enter the lake from the house, our 4 year old had plenty of room to run around in the water without it being too deep. Our older kids enjoyed going out to the deeper parts of the lake with the life vests. Kayak trips around the lake were a lot of fun.
The pool at the clubhouse was a great way to spend another afternoon. The beaches around the community all looked very clean. The clubhouse has a big beach / recreation area which had live music on the Friday evening during our stay.
I could go on and on, everything about this place exceeded our expectations. I wish we could stay another week. Highly recommend this place for any occassion.

We had a wonderful time at the house ! Very pleased with everything, beautiful home with amazing location. The kids swam and canoed. We drank our coffee on the pier. It was a lovely extended weekend.

We rented this property for our daughter's high school graduation celebration with out of town family. We had four teenagers, four grandparents and three other adults. The house was large enough to accommodate all of us comfortably. We did bring a blow up air mattress for the downstairs room as pull out sofas are generally not that comfy! There was plenty of room to do that. We grilled each night and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and more. I especially loved making my morning coffee in a big mug from the Keurig and enjoying it on the peaceful dock. My brother in law used the fancy coffee machine to make expresso! We truly enjoyed all the amenities the property had to offer! Everyone swam in the lake, floated in the tubes, paddled in the boat or took out a kayak. I would recommend water shoes if you want to wade into the lake and it also helps with getting in/out of the boats. We tried fishing but didn't catch anything! The dock was so large with multiple places to enter/exit the lake. We even got my 79 year old father in law into a kayak! We enjoyed the large hot tub and the outdoor propane fireplaces. There was a small patch of grass between the house and the lake that we used to play some yard games we had brought. The teenagers wished for a pool or ping pong table but they they made good use of the arcade game and the dart board! We also played many card and board games at the large table upstairs. We had brought some games but there was a great selection provided by the owner. Su was wonderful to deal with and very accommodating when we communicated a little issue with the linens. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the lake reconnecting with family, relaxing and making memories!

Fantastic place for family reunion
We really enjoyed staying in Lake of the Woods. The property was clean, well equipped, and had lots of basic pantry items. We loved the Kayaks (with life jackets provided) and the hot tub. All the instructions were clear and thorough. Su was so helpful before we visited about items in the house and during our stay about local restaurants. Lastly we also enjoyed the games machine, darts, games and puzzles. Just perfect!.

We had a fantastic time at Lake-of-the-Woods. Everything was as stated, but even better. The owner has thought of everything you need down to baskets to carry towels down to the lake. Nightlights? Check. Fully equipped kitchen? Check. Comfy Beds, Hot tub, Hammock, lots of seating in the house and at the lake, dedicated Pickleball courts…all check. Wouldn’t change a thing, and hope to go back. We mostly played at the water with kayaks, paddle boat, and ring floats, but also went to one of the outdoor pools. It was great and worth the $5 per person charge. Be sure to pick up your pink pass at the member services building so they let you into the pool. Also be sure to adhere to the 25mph speed limit on the roads…seemed to be well enforced for the safety of walkers. Oh, and our GPS took us to the back gate…don’t do that…go to the front gate at ‘100 Lake of the Woods way.’ Relaxing and beautiful spot, very private, lovely views of the lake from the deck and front bedroom. Enjoy your stay!
