This beautiful, dog-friendly home, located on a quiet cove of Lake Anna, will be the perfect place to celebrate your next vacation! Toast the morning sunrise with a steaming mug of coffee at the bar on the large open deck overlooking the lake. You'll love listening to bird songs and perhaps catching glimpses of the Great White Herons and bald eagles along the shoreline or high up in the treetops. The covered porch off the kitchen is a great place to enjoy a light breeze and views of the lake, woods, and the enclosed yard while savoring your breakfast. Plan a “grill master” tournament on the two gas grills then judge the results at the picnic tables by the beach. Challenge your family to a volleyball, horseshoe, and frisbee-golf tournament while your fishing enthusiasts catch fish from the private dock.
Relax in the oversized hammock gently swaying beneath the trees, or sunbathe on the sparkling pink sand on the beach along the shoreline. Watch magnificent wild fuchsia and orange sunsets from the couch on the covered front porch. Smell the honeysuckle at twilight in May as you wander the protected lands next door to view wildlife and catch a glimpse of the clear babbling brook that runs through the woods and marsh area to the lake. Roast marshmallows around the fire ring on the shoreline, and gaze at the stars as the moon rises. On cold or rainy days, view the lake through cathedral windows while reclining in front of a wood fire in a stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace. Hold a movie festival with trivia questions or play board games with friends and family. Let your culinary creativity loose in the fully-equipped gourmet kitchen boasting granite countertops, a six-burner gas Viking Stove, and convection wall ovens. This home has enough space to bring everyone together, enjoy some quiet time with a favorite novel, and everything else in-between.

The house was perfect for us. The outdoor spaces were great. Loved the big family room and extremely well stocked kitchen. Will definitely book this house again!

Beautiful property on a very serene part of the lake. Interior of this house is so nicely furnished, beautifully decorated and spacious. Perfect for our family group of 14. Our 6 and 8 year olds were never bored with the abundance of outdoor toys and indoor games. Our 2 year old loved the playhouse out back. So many different outdoor spaces to enjoy as well. Our week was too short. Would definitely return to this property!

Low key week away to relax. Did some fishing but not a lot of luck. Hit several local restaurants and antique shops

The house was perfect for us. The kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms and baths were as described. The lowest level was perfect for pool tournaments and video game trivia! The deck and covered porch were great for morning coffee and tea.
The property is sloped throughout, until you get to the waterfront. To get to the waterfront is about 75 yards and it is NOT an easy walk and I am glad we rented a golf cart for my mom. Even the golf cart ride was a little treacherous with the slope of the property. The landscaping could use some attention. The sitting area under the deck will soon be overrun with weeds if not attended to. The “beach” is already overrun with weeds. The canoes and kayaks, once we cleaned them up, were great, except there was no kayak paddle. The dock itself is tired and needs some TLC. The lights didn’t work, but luckily, the fan did. Despite the condition, we had a great time sitting by the lake and enjoying the quiet.
We did rent a pontoon boat for a day and were able to bring it right up to our dock.
Note-there is no longer a fence though it is advertised with one.

Was a bonus.

This was a spacious, very clean and very well stocked home. Despite a few appliance glitches, it was a very comfortable home for our annual retreat. Management was prompt to address the issues and answer our questions. We were very grateful for that.

Beautiful home situated right on the lake w/beautiful views! This home has ample space for large groups & a thing I've found when staying other places, they sometimes lack enough blankets, pillows and towels but this home had an over abundance.

My husband, 6 month old daughter and I stayed here for a month while my husband worked in Louisa. The house is a beautiful, spacious and updated. The kitchen has everything you could need and more. We really enjoyed cooking and grilling during our stay. Lots of games and fun activities for the family. Great neighborhood for walking. We had to reach out to Vacasa and they were accommodating and responsive. All around great house and we had a wonderful stay.

Would have given it a 5 star but there were a few things that needs fixed. The smaller gas grill didn’t work. The property and privacy of the property is great. The landscape needs TLC, at the house and down at the dock. The lawn was mowed but the weeds around the house needed some serious attending to. The house was clean and if we had any questions we got a response very quickly. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We had a great time.

House had perfect layout for our group. Younger folks and teenagers stayed downstairs and played pool and ping pong all night long. Older folks upstairs relaxed in peace and quiet. Unbelievably fully stocked kitchen! Not obvious from photos, there’s a fenced in yard area right off the house for dogs and small children, and there are several Adirondack chairs on both beach and dock, plus two upright paddle boards in addition to the kayaks/canoes listed. View from the living space upstairs is fabulous. Dock area great for both sun and shade lovers and also obviously for boat docking. We had a great vacation!

The location was very soothing and relaxing. The cleaners did a good job--the areas that I care the most about were properly cleaned--I don't care about having to wipe down the outside tables. The owners have recently bought new furniture, so everything was in great shape. The panty is stocked with every conceivable kitchen gadget imaginable. If you like to cook, the kitchen is a dream.
For me, I only have two negatives: I had to work remotely for a 1/2 day and the internet is slow--like, it feels like the dark days of dial up, and I had to kick everyone off the WiFi so I could have it loan faster than a minute per page. It really took around 45 seconds to process each page, when they normally take around a second. That was frustrating, and I had to get caught up on work when I got home because I didn't accomplish everything due to slow internet. I have Verizon, and I was only getting 1 - 2 bars, so using my phone as a hotspot wasn't optional .
Second, if you have your own kayak/SUP, I would recommend bring it. The inflatable SUPs are in great shape, but the YOLO SUP, is missing a fin. I used the sit-on-top kayak and the foot rests were missing which affected my balancing. The garage is packed with every game imaginable and different kids of floats, so you have tons of options.

We enjoyed the views, making s’mores in the firepit, star gazing and relaxing in the hammock. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed watching the eagles and herons. However, there are a lot of issues with this home.To start, we arrived to a home with a lot of dead bugs, dirty bed linens stacked up, black mold in the primary shower, trash in the bathroom drawers and a toilet on the main level that kept running. The pictures of the outside area on the listing do not portray the actual condition of the property. The area under the deck is full of weeds. The "sparkling pink sand" is in fact also covered with weeds and we were not able to sunbathe as the listing suggests. The dock had several loose, unsafe boards and rusty staples. The kayak had a large bee's nest. There were only 2 life vests and one kayak oar. Most of the outdoor toys in the garage were either missing pieces or covered in mouse feces. The basement bedroom smelled of cat urine. The primary bedroom had a window that was not even attached to the frame so it was cold at night and hot in the day and smelling firepit smoke. It felt like camping. The children’s toys in the backyard were broken. We also expected it to be quiet as the listing states but you can constantly hear the traffic on the Pamunkey Bridge on Route 522.I reached out to the local number listed on our reservation to no avail.I reached out to Vacasa many times and sent pictures but was just told to wait for the "local staff to resume duty” for a resolution.

Pros: The location is stunning! The house is large and spacious with lots of seating and kitchen supplies. The dock is lovely and there are tons of books, games, and movies. The fenced in yard is great for the kids and the beach was a hit!
Cons: Unfortunately, so many items for kids under 8 were broken, missing, or otherwise unusable. The nearest store for replacements is over 20 minutes away. The play structures in the yard were broken in ways that made them actively dangerous. The only hose had been hit by a lawnmower and would not attach to the slip and slide from the garage. Most of the child-appropriate DVD cases were empty. Basically, the kids kept getting their hopes crushed. Also, the crib listed is an unsafe drop-side model.
Otherwise, many of the dishes had been put away dirty and there were tons of dead bugs in the house. I tried contacting the management company and they repeatedly ghosted me.
Overall, this would have been a great trip if our kids had been older, at this point though, this location brought unexpected frustrations.

The house was great, lots of toys, puzzles, DVD's, bikes etc. etc. Tons of cooking stuff and dishes. Landscaping was a little unkempt and the play equipment was unusable. Wi-Fi was extremely slow! Apicture of the entrance in the description would show the 15 steps necessary.

This house and property were amazing! The pictures of the dock and the lake look like out of a storybook. We had three families with small children, and it was perfect for a family get together. In the house it had a great pool table, ping-pong table, and tons of games to play. The daily amenities and cookware were also top notch. We definitely would recommend it!

Great property with great amenities. Very well stocked and clean inside. Outside could use a little work. The deck and boat house are in need of repair and cleaning. WiFi was very weak. OK for our group but could be rough for some.

Wonderful house, beautiful view, lots of outdoor space
The open layout of this house is great for family gatherings. The kitchen has a huge island, a great stove, and double ovens. It was such a pleasure to cook in it. The layout of the bedrooms gives everyone private space to relax. Having 4 full bathrooms, what a luxury! The entire experience was fantastic.
The property managers were responsive. The only recommendation I have is to have a few more nonstick pans - particularly a 12-inch pan. and more spatulas/tongs. All in all a GREAT place to spend time with family.

Quiet place, big space
Was a great place no complaints. Had some issues with the stink bugs but not enough to maybe return in the future. Since it was end of October and the weather was moving towards cold was happy that the main room was large enough to handle us all with no real crowding. Create use of space especially with the bathrooms. Since it was mentioned in the remarks before wanted to say that all the rooms had TVs and the remotes all where there and worked.

Family Friendly Home
We really enjoyed being here. The house was clean, and had lots of amenities. It was a very family friendly home, and was a safe place to have three toddlers running around. We would rent this house again if we returned to Lake Anna

July stay
The description was generally accurate except for the water depth. Says 2-4 but really 1-2 feet so you can't swim. There was algae in the water, also preventing us from swimming, paddleboarding, etc. No one from the management company informed us of the algae so it was good that my mother-in-law read about it online. It can cause skin rashes, vomiting, diarrhea. The "beach" is covered with weeds and the dock had the most spiders and spiderwebs I've ever seen. There was a wasp nest in the broken chair of an outdoor toy - fortunately my kids didn't get stung. There might be poison sumac growing under the deck, next to the table and chairs. The house itself was clean but there was a dead plant by the kitchen sink. It was nice having linens, towels, and soap provided.

Great space, lots of room, house could use some love
We had a great time at this property. It has lots of room, lots of toys, games, and movies to watch, and the lake access and grassy areas were awesome. It was very comfortable for us all - 8 people and 2 small children. The house could use a few updates: could use a house guide to know where things are and how they work (ie the sound system, where to go for groceries/restaurants, where to find boat supplies, etc) could use extra sheets and towels, could use some time getting rid of the bees around the entryways (lots of big bees), and fixing of the boats and stand up paddleboards. I would also recommend cleaning out some space in the kitchen or pantry for people to put their food - there was no extra space for this. Overall, I would recommend this house anytime - just needs a weekend of attention by the landlords.

The house was amazing. Enough space for everyone. The size of the property was just perfect Time away from the city life, with the ones you love. The landscape, the property. It was perfect. Memories were made and my kids will always remember. We all will remember. Thank you VACASA! We’ll for sure be back soon!!

Nice house though not as expected.
We love Vacasa. They've been awesome to deal with. We booked this house specifically for the amenties that came with it such as the "screen in dock, kayaks and paddleboards to use and beautiful views from inside the house." The view did not disappoint but the amenities did. Much of the games that the house had did not work (ie: no darts available for the dart board they were all broken, no screened in dock it was falling apart, no working kayaks and just 1 oar to use for any of the boats and no remote to a soundbar and no working remotes that worked properly for the TV in the main room, main bedroom or upstairs). For the price we paid I would expect much better on the amenity side. It's almost as if no one had been there to actually check to see that the games had their pieces, or items were working properly. The croquet is missing all the balls. There were tons of inflatable tubes in the garage covering all the equipment so I felt like I had to clean through to locate and that didn't feel like a vacation. The deck railing was very loose and a few boards had rotted but had a carpet over them. We did inform the Vacasa rep. The location was amazing and quiet. The view spectacular. The fenced in yard was great for the dog and the kids enjoyed that part of the yard and the seesaw as well. We were also a short drive from the "Boardwalk" so were able to eat at Tim's Rivershore and rented a Pontoon from Mid-Atlantic Watersports which was a highlight. The State Park is also located nearby and was a beautiful drive. However, having a house like that I'd want to stay there more but we were able to do more away from the home. We also had to wait around for the amazing rep from Vacasa to come to help us with the TV situation so we could watch a movie together. So, again for the price we paid and the reviews and photos, our family was a little disappointed.

Perfect for families
The house and property were inviting and perfect for large family vacations. The one reason I did not give the house five stars was the condition of the dock and outside areas. Areas were overrun with wasps and spiders. It took 6 cans of wasp spray to get everything under control. My husband and two sons made it there mission the first day, after two wasp stings on the children in the play house. We did have an amazing time and the house really wonderful for extended family.

Nice house with disappointing Wi-Fi and Entertaining
While this house was nice and clean, we were not happy with the entertainment issues. The remote control for cable was missing in living room. The Wi-Fi was not good. The sound in the TV in the living room did not work. The cables to cable, DVD player and TV were not hooked up in living room and basement. We could never access Netflix. This really made watching movies and shows with the family in the evening difficult. Not a good experience

Nice home but lake is too shallow and hot to enjoy in summer
The house is beautiful inside and has a lot of great amenities but many of the outside ones are simply unusable because of wasps and spiders. The lake is VERY shallow and if you go in the summer you will not get any relief from the heat because the water is HOT with a lot of algae. The dock is not very relaxing because of wasps flying around constantly. I was disappointed given the money it cost for rent. It is just not a summer vacation spot without a boat (and make sure it is a pontoon or deck boat as anything else would likely get stuck) and that really isn't revealed.

Excellent kitchen and amenities!
Our family gathering of 9 was perfect in this well appointed home. We are big cooks, so the double ovens, 6 gas burner stove and long table made our mealtime work so well. We did rent a pontoon boat and was able to sneak it through the shallow cove ok. Just go slow and hang towards the shore.

Serenity found
House had lots of accommodations to entertain all age groups. A lot of room for a large number of people and plenty of seating and kitchenware. The distance from the house to the water was a little farther than we expected but quickly forgotten with everything the sandy beachfront and boat dock had to offer. Very fitting name. Very peaceful with lots of wildlife to enjoy.
We had a fantastic time. Thanks
