Beautiful views & sceneries. Friendly, helpful staff.
It's a bit dated. So the towels are old & some torn.
There's very few activities on site, so if you there for more than 2 nights, there's nothing to do.
The amenities weren't replaced when used.
The restaurant has a very small limited menu.
There are no gluten-free options, no Halaal options & very little vegetarian options.

Lovely and peaceful setting with wonderful countryside views . Size of accommodation surprisingly spacious.2 good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms including a spa bath in one of them.Balcony with table and chairs.BBQ in the garden below.Quality towels and bed linen.Great comfy beds and a good size.Plenty of wardrobe space.
Maintenance of accommodation not good.Broken wooden spindles on the balcony with protruding long nails.Broken coving on ceiling above.Bathroom and kitchen sink tap units very loose.Hot water got dangerously 🔥 hot, scalding in fact.Fire extinguisher was missing.Hairdryer was missing. No air conditioning or heating anywhere in accommodation. Fireplace but nothing to use to light it with.
Kitchen cupboards and drawers very dated and old and dusty, hadn't been cleaned for years!!!

Excellent location, facilities and price
Nothing, it has it all

I love the location and the resort itself. The chalets are well built and comfortable and there was ample space for our extended family. The staff were friendly as always.
The oven door was broken and despite reporting it, no one came to look, assess or repair. There were missing pieces of crockery and cutlery and we had to ask for towels and dish towels to be supplied. Despite arriving after our scheduled arrival time, the unit was not ready and we had to wait while it was cleaned.

Food was good and well presented, Rooms are big with fireplace and the views are amazing
Some of the planned daily activities were not available due to broken equipment, the menu is very limited, only pizza and burgers.

The room where comfortable and clean. The manager dealt with our issue in a very friendly and accommodating manner.
We went in the middle of winter. Our unit was not sealed. Cold air streamed in from the sliding door edges and window edges. The fire place was set too far back and thus was totally inadequate to warm the room. We used 20kgs of wood in 1 night to ZERO effect. We cut our stay short after 1 night. Manager assisted us to move to Bushmans Nek for the remainder of the booking. At a large cost. A night to forget.

the view
Good morning
I hope you well.
My husband and I have booked over the weekend. We booked in on Friday and checked out on Sunday .
We have previously been to the accommodation before and we both already knew the standards and service.
Firstly the load shedding is not an issue. How ever it I would have Atleast appreciated it if there were candles or matches. I called the resort a few times regarding the booking and no one mentioned load shedding or that you did not have back up power. Which is not fair.
Secondly,No one bothered to check on us during the loadshedding and Ofcourse we are on holiday , the owner or managers should not expect us to drive up and down to reception for candles and matches.
Thirdly
We could not watch anything on tv even when the power was on before there was no connections to the tv or adapters etc. this was not fair at all.
On Saturday I spoke to the gentleman in reception and explained my frustration.
A gentleman came to the apartment he also mentioned that the apartment was suppose to be inspected and it was not inspected.
Fourthly
We came to the restaurant
We order breakfast and waited 45mins for just our breakfast. The bacon and sausage were not cooked properly it was a pink. The sausage was frozen on the inside. It was a horrifying experience.
As I mentioned I have stayed here before.
I am truely disappointed. Everything was absolutely disappointing. I actually never spent any time at the appointment. What was worse is that I suggested this place to my hubby after many years and I looked like a complete idiot.

The indoor fireplace
The jacuzzi/bath tub seemed a little dirty. There was a leakage in the patio. Ineffective heaters.

Some WiFi in the chalets would have been nice and maybe a lantern in each chalet for load shedding

The food at the restaurant was lovely and the facility’s for the kids were great re: horse riding, tennis, bowels, games and bike riding
upkeep of the room was disgusting. clean towels were horribly stained and toilet kept running.
too many flies. was so disgusting as we’ve never experienced that before.
bin packet of towels left in the bathroom

Fortunately they didn't clean my room while l was staying there.
They were cutting grass while we were swimming and grass was making the pool dirty.

10 Hours Loadshedding. Facility would do well to print and hand out schedules. The Place has NOT been upgraded for many years. Aircons should be installed for summer

The establishment is big and very nice, its caters for couples, family and friends.
First when we checked in we had a problem, I booked 6 rooms and paid for them only to be told we getting 5 cause one was cancelled. No one notified me about this we had to accommodate some colleagues on the couches. No 2 36B room had no key we waited 2 hours for the key because the people who booked there left with the key. No 3. 31B was not cleaned there were rose petals on the bed and foam in the bath tub. Ayke last number we went for breakfast came back our bags were opened, and they took things that were inside the bags meat, juices and alcohol . The audacity to open someone's bag and steal from it is something else. We left a whole lot of meat on the table for our colleagues to take but we found the plates empty. I hope management will do something about this. The waitress that was serving us had attitude she brought incorrect order and when we told her she gave us attitude and gave us a whole lot of toast we didn't ask for.
