Bedrooms were comfortable.
The breakfasts were good and tasty.
The restaurant was good with a wide selection of Gurkha meals.
3.5 / 5.0
Quiet room (away from the road), a short walk to the centre of town, nice quick breakfast, friendly but quiet hosts
Small bathroom, squeaky floorboards

Parking Restaurant and Bar downstairs..Handy for town centre

All staff, especially the 'boss' Ben and the young lady Ema, if I recall rightly, were very welcoming and made me feel that I wanted to revisit in the future. Many thanks

Staff were fairly helpful and friendly.
The hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade and redec. Things were broken and old. Felt unsafe staying here as bedroom door not fitted properly. Light kept flashing in bedroom (Room 5) from fire alarm keeping me awake. Shower door trim fell off when in shower. This was after we asked to be moved from Room 12 where the shower enclosure is in the bedroom and looks like a wardrobe. Although there is no wardrobe or anywhere to hang clothes.

Good location for Witney Town centre.
Immediately after check-in I returned to report TV wasn't working. The man we saw/checked-in with attended room an hour later and without examining TV said he needed to find us another TV. We heard nothing again for the next 48 hours we stayed there. At 2nd breakfast, was asked which bread would I like for toast and a selection of jams/marmalade was placed on table. First breakfast - no questions and no jams etc! Stayed in room 4 and was worried about the hole above the room light switch and the safety of the bathroom light which was a bedroom uplighter on the wall with a pull-cord.

It was clean
Needs upgrading. Wallpaper peeling and tiles in shower a bit old just needs a refresh.
Room was small but ok for the one night
3.5 / 5.0
The room was on the ground floor near car and bar/ lounge
A wardrobe would have been handy, even a chest of drawers would have been good. In the room there was a manger/crib, which was part of the old stables, quaint, but not very good, if it's the only place to leave your clothes.

It was easy to find, ample parking. Rooms had tea making facilities.
Situated on a road with constant traffic, and bright lights outside hotel were near windows.

Location great, staff pleasant and helpful.
The room was very small. Nowhere to put anything in the en suite i e no hooks or shelves. View from our room was awful. The hairdryer was broken and potentially dangerous.

Exceptionally clean. Very comfortable bed with good quality pillows and linen. Restaurant do very nice food and the bar area is very clean and very comfortable. Nice and quiet.
It’s very old, creaky floorboards, shower was very weak. The staff are polite but don’t really engage in any conversation with you. No fruit or yoghurt at breakfast.

Accommodation provided what I needed including a bar/restaurant so I did not have to go out in the evening.
Bathroom sink very small. My room was near the kitchen (I think) with a fan blowing 24/7.

The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant for the 3 nights of our stay and the dinners were excellent, compliments to the kitchen!
There was nothing to dislike about the property.

Breakfast not large but ok
Service ok - only 1 member of staff friendly
Given age/type of building nothing but not easy for old/less able (am in my 80s but coped ok)
Similarly on roundabout made identifying it on arrival and exiting difficult (almost blind to traffic from right)
