Clean, nice house, everything you need.
We slept from 6 pm to 6 am.
Nice parking area. Convenient shared bathrooms (super clean and smell so nice).
The owner was super friendly that she offered food for us at late night on our first night! (Thank you again!)

This property was very appropriate for our purposes, which was to have a comfortable and convenient place to sleep for a couple of nights while in this vicinity. It was not luxurious but we knew that beforehand, and our two rooms each had a private bathroom with plenty of hot water and adequate water pressure. The wifi worked fine, and the hostess was very attentive and responsive whenever we had questions. She also accommodated our late arrival by texting us self-check in instructions that were easy to understand. Though small, the room had sufficient conveniences, like a medium sized refrigerator, a microwave, and a Keurig for hot water for coffee and tea. There was lots of dresser drawer space and some clothes hanging space for longer stays. The outside air temperature was moderate and the room temperature was fine without any adjustment, so I cannot speak to how the heating or cooling would be in more extreme weather. The host had clearly and carefully thought of ways to provide touches of home in this small space, we had a delightful stay. This roadhouse was great value for the money, especially in the Denali area where accommodations are usually booked well in advance and are very expensive.
Not really a dislike, but we did notice the floors, both above us and our own, were a little creaky as might be expected in an historic wooden frame building. It was not enough to keep us awake. The location is a bit far from dining establishments, so best to eat your dinner before arriving or bring take-out. To us, the tap water had a slightly unpleasant taste and we were glad we had plenty of bottled water with us. This might have been due to the location, or it might have been a one-time occurrence. Also, the beds are a full/double size, so be aware if one of you is 6'5", it's a little snug but luckily there is not a footboard! However, none of these tiny issues made us regret our choice to stay here.

Robin is an excellent host. She attended to our every need. Hotel was in perfect location for our daily activities and within a nearby drive of Denali and restaurants etc. Rooms are cozy but have everything you need, including real Alaskan charm!
Anything we needed was supplied promptly.

We decided not to stay there after seeing the property.
The stairs were incredibly steep and rickety. Outdoor, wooden stairs. They were too difficult for my mom. We appeared to be the only ones staying in the facility. We arrived about 6pm, and there was no one in sight. We booked a 2 single bed room and one of the beds was leaning or on a slant of the floor. It was not the cleanest place and the facility outside was very run down looking. My mom and I did not feel comfortable and we ended up driving an hour and half to find a different place. We didnt even feel comfortable leaving our car parked there.

Very Hospitable, Cordial, Warm Home feeling, And attention to our wants & needs that seems to have been forgotten in this day & age.
An out of the way facility that will be our place to stay while traveling to Fairbanks from now on.
Absolutely recommend.

Robin was very kind. We checked in and traveled to Fairbanks to see the Aurora Borealis. There was too much cloud cover the night we were there to see them from their property. Upon return she has left us a snack outside our room. I also forgot my earrings there. She is mailing them to me which is very kind of her.
The carpet was wet from them cleaning it recently but the reservation was made after so it was unavoidable.

Accommodations were great for our family of four. We had 2 twin beds and a queen or king. Everyone had the best sleep of our trip at the Roadhouse.
Robin, the owner/hostess, is delightful in every way.
Cooked to order breakfast in the morning was delicious, filling and a great way to start the day.
Eclectic decorations were fun and added personality.
Historic Alaskan roadhouse is unusual and so much more fun than a standard hotel/motel.
Good location along Parks highway (we stayed after visiting Denali) with beavers in the backyard.
Sharing a bathroom isn’t my favorite aspect, but is typical for a roadhouse.
Older building, steep stairs to get to second floor.
Dim lighting in hallway.
